Men and women alike are both obsessed with Jessica Alba, because she's so sweet and sexy, the perfect little tartlet. It is for these reasons that MTV made the genius decision to have Alba host the MTV Movie Awards on June 8th. We'll look past the fact that Jess has barely any experience with live comedy, or any sort of hosting for that matter.. she's easy on the eyes, and that should be enough to warrant anyone a hosting position!
While she cannot help it, K-Fed told Power 106 that he would like to have a threesome with Jessica Alba and Britney. Probably not a good idea to express those desires while your wife is pregnant with your second baby. Maybe he saw that picture and it got him too hot and bothered to think about anything else. Jessica Alba is supposed to host the MTV 2006 Movie Awards, hopefully Britney and K-Fed show up to heat the events up.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with Jessica and chatted with her on why she loves attending the shows so much. Said JA: "Because it’s fun! I have two kids. It’s nice to spend four days in Paris, have fun with the girls and sleep in. I play dress-up for a living, and I think fashion allows anyone to [channel] that fantasy element - you can be any kind of woman." Very true, Jess!

It's not known exactly what services the mom of two was after, but she was photographed signing something and paying with cash. It appears the entrepreneur may have added piercings to both ears as new studs were visible on both sides which were not there on a Saturday outing to the park with her family." Work it out, Jessica!

Are you a fan of JA's outfit on this occasion, readers? In other Alba news, the outspoken actress recently sat down with Nightline to discuss how she is leading the "mommy war" against synthetic chemicals. After having an allergic reaction to a brand of baby laundry detergent, Alba said: "I was like ... I'm an adult, and if I'm having an allergic reaction, like who knows what's going to happen with my baby. So I did some research, and I found that there are a lot of toxic chemicals in everyday products, and I was more horrified to find that there are more toxic chemicals in baby products. Everything that I do is an effort to stay away from chemicals and [move] more toward plant-based ingredients. I want them to be normal and still be kids and enjoy little things like taking baths and not be too extreme, so I still let them have princess toothbrushes and things like that." What are your thoughts on Jessica's ambitious efforts, everyone?

One other aspect of her event style that is worth noting is her autumnal beauty look, one that Refinery29 has honored her the title of "winning fall makeup." According to the site, "First and perhaps most importantly, that lipstick. A brown-based plum-berry with a satiny finish is just about the chicest lippie one could wear this season. Also well-executed are her long, long spidery brown lashes, which really make her eyes pop against her lids. The whole look is warmed up with a lovely bronzer, which brings us to our next point: Has she always had such razor-sharp cheekbones, or did she just win contouring, as well?" Thoughts, readers?

In other Alba news, the stylish actress recently opened up to JustJared about what inspired her to create her successful business The Honest Company. The line, which provides natural, safe, and effective products for the family and home, will soon be expanding with new products! When asked what originally inspired her to create the line, Jessica said: "I looked around the marketplace and I was a new mom, and I had an allergic reaction to a baby laundry detergent. I found out that there are all these untested chemicals in baby products, even a numbing chemical that numbs a baby’s eye in baby shampoo. There are chemicals in diapers that can burn your baby and they get these burns that permanently scar. I did not want my kids to be exposed to any of that stuff. I was trying to find better quality products and it was really hard to find a company that I could trust. So I was like, “It would be so much easier if there were a company that did all the hard work and provided everything I needed, was affordable, and easy to get.” So that’s why we initially started online and our price point is super competitive." Have any of you tried any of Jessica's Honest products?

Do you like this outfit on Jessica everyone, and is it something you'd wear to a summer baby shower? In other Alba news, Jessica recently opened up her home to Domaine for a photo shoot that shows off her gorgeously decorated house. Of her decor style, Jessica said: "Faux-aged orange and yellow walls, terracotta everywhere - a combo of Tuscan and Spanish that I’d describe as El Torito-ish. I also find that things that are mass-produced these days don’t have the touch that older things have - I also like the story behind something, the fact that it’s had a life." When moving into the house, Jessica also shared the following cute anecdote: "When we moved we asked all of our family members on both sides to send old photos. It’s nice having the kids grow up with their family around them -mespecially because they are racially diverse. It’s like, this is the fabric of America. Anyone can come here and become whatever they want to. There’s something kind of sweet about subliminally reinforcing that." Thoughts, readers?

A bevy of bracelets and a matching wallet were the final touches to Jessica's look. What are your thoughts on this one, fun and bold or too much going on? In other JA news, the Little Fockers actress recently settled a lawsuit over weight loss ads. The suit accused a The Belly Bandit of using her name and image to promote the product without her permission, which of course led Jess to sue. According to SFGate, "The actress, a mom of two, took legal action against Belly Bandit bosses last year after learning she had allegedly been named among a list of people who had used the item, which helps new mothers get rid of baby weight – even though she has never endorsed the product. The Belly Bandit packaging also featured the tagline, “Jessica Alba’s #2 Secret for a Fast Post Pregnancy Slimdown!” The star has received an undisclosed amount of damages over her claim, while bosses have also vowed to stop using her name to sell their dieting device." What makes companies think that they can use a celebrity likeness without getting caught? Big time duh!
Jessica Alba seen on Jun 26 2012 in Santa Monica, CA. Jessica Alba was photographed chatting on her cell phone as she made her way into an office building in Santa Monica on June 26, rocking a pair of colorful leopard print jeans for her morning ensemble. To get Jessica's look here, pick a pair of statement printed jeans - such as either Level 99's Rose Print Pant in Cream or Joe's Jeans' High Water Pant in Iris Aztec - and wear with a hot pink tee (like James & Joy by Joy Han's Brenda Bell Sleeve Top in Pink) and loose fitting black cardigan. A pair of colorful sunglasses, a complementary purse, and a gold cuff (try Natalie B. Jewelry's 6 Rail Twist Bracelet in Brass) provide the perfect, fun finishing touches. Is Jessica's outfit a little too intense for you, readers - or do you like her bright, bold fashion statement? It seems as though Jessica was getting all of the colorful moments out of her system before jetting off to Paris, where she wore a sleek, black sleeveless dress to the Versace Haute Couture Show. According to Examiner, "She could have walked the runway as her fashion was hot. The gown had intriguing details on the front and seemed to wrap the star showing off her figure. Leaving her hair down, Jessica looked extremely feminine and delighted to be part of the action." Well who wouldn't be?
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 08 2012 in Camarillo, CA. Jessica Alba was photographed at a family BBQ on Easter Sunday, April 8, in Camarillo, CA, and looked sweet and summery in her Karen ZAMBOS maxi dress. For her Easter outing, Jessica opted for Karen ZAMBOS' Bianca Dress in Ivory that she paired with a medium wash denim vest (opt for a similar jacket by checking out Level 99's Denim Jacket in Mission) and a lightweight scarf (try wrapping Gypsy 05's Shawl in Sand around your neck). Accessory wise, JA kept the jewelry to a minimum, and only wore a pair of sunglasses (Ray-Ban's Cockpit Sunglasses in Gunmetal are similar) and a pair of unseen shoes. Are you a fan of this look for Jessica, everyone? It's most definitely Easter appropriate. Side note, how adorable is Jess' little girl Haven? That little pink hat... so cute! In other news, JA recently spoke out about family health, saying: "As a child, I suffered from many different bizarre kinds of health issues. Asthma and allergies were big issues for me when I was growing up. And I realized over time that when I eliminated fragrances and toxic chemicals in my environment – it eliminated my allergies and my reactions." As such, Jessica created The Honest Company, which "helps mothers give their children the best start possible and avoid the problems she once had." She continues, "People can outsource their trust to us. You’ve got the power to change the health of your family.” Are any of you interested in checking out the company?
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 11 2011 in Beverly Hills, CA. Jessica Alba gives her little girl Honor a lift after grabbing lunch in Beverly Hills on March 11. Cash Warren's two leading ladies were both wearing shades of grey for their lunch outing, with Honor in a cute button front dress and boots and Jess strolling next to her in a v-neck sweater tunic (similar to Free People's Whispa Pullover in Natural) over a pair of baggy pants (try the flattering tapered fit of Bella Dahl's Drape Pocket Pant in Black) with flat boots (like Farylrobin's Mandy Tall Lug Sole Boot in Black). Jess layered a couple of long necklaces over her tunic (check out Anna Beck's Bali Multi Disk Wrap Necklace in Gold), wearing her hair in messy bedhead waves. What do you think of Jessica's daytime style, are you a fan of her pants? I think if she'd worn these with a heel they might look less trash-baggy, but otherwise she looks great showing off her tiny baby bump. Jess recently chatted about her pregnancy with USA Today on her desire to keep baby related matters a secret, like the sex of the baby: “We tell our family but we don’t tell anyone outside of that. I’m hiding it well. I definitely have a bit of a bump.” She continued on getting Honor ready to become a big sis: “We talk about it. She loves babies, she loves her dollies and she likes taking care of her dollies. I think that’s the closest association she can really have with a baby." Sounds like Jess is ready to welcome another member to her fam!
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 26 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Getting the weekend off to a healthy start, Jessica Alba is all smiles as she heads out to breakfast in LA with hubby Cash Warren and their little girl Honor on February 26. I don't know if it's because she's trying to keep her pregnancy under wraps, but I'm not sure how I feel about all the oversized proportions she has going on here. Jess layered a peach cardi over a white cami, topped with a roomy shawl coat (stay cozy in Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Ikat Sweater in Natural or Diane von Furstenberg's Silk Cashmere Cardigan in Peach) and a gauzy pink scarf. Next she slipped into a pair of roomy flare jeans (similar to Rich & Skinny's High Rise Flare in Outback) paired with pink ballet flats (give it an edgy twist with Farylrobin's buckled Fate in Pink) and a textured taupe tote over her arm (check out Julie K Handbags' Laura in Cream Cobra, love the contrast straps). Am I the only one who thinks her proportions are out of balance here? This is also the first time I've seen someone try flares with flats, I'm thinking wedges would have elongated her legs and given this look a little more dimension. Thoughts? After grabbing their weekly family brunch, the Warrens headed to Coldwater Canyon Park for a pre-Oscar party that Honor looked especially excited about. Jess has been spotted spending a lot of time in parks with her little girl lately, getting in some quality playtime before the new baby arrives. While Jess is staying active, judging from her Twitter updates food is her #1 priority right now. During a trip to NYC this week she Tweeted: "Finishing a late lunch -now I want to sleep. [Cash] is ordering 4 desserts... What the heck do we do w him?" Judging from the photo their dining companion posted, I'd have to say eat up!
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 19 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Enjoying some weekend family time, Jessica Alba heads out to brunch at Nate 'n Al Deli in Beverly Hills accompanied by her husband Cash Warren and toddler Honor Marie on February 19. Jess grabbed a warm bev to go to ward off the chilly morning, bundling up in a drapy sweater vest over a long sleeve tunic (try Fluxus' Hammock Vest in Heather Grey paired over Fluxus' Themis Tunic in Natural) with dark indigo jeggings (like Citizens of Humanity's Avedon Jegging in Dust) and a pair of interesting silver and tan boots (check out the similar style of Farylrobin's Lottie Chelsea Boot in Grey). Lastly Jess carried a tan crossbody bag (similar to Julie K Handbags' Lorri Chain in Cognac) and covered up with sunnies as she made her way around. What do you think of her casual style, does it work for a cool winter morning? Earlier this week, Jessica took to her Facebook page to announce she and Cash are expecting a new addition to the fam: “It’s been a while since I’ve been on FB & I thought I’d drop by to let you all in on some exciting news. Honor is going to be a Big Sister! Cash and I are thrilled and wanted to share the news directly with you so you didn’t hear about it somewhere else. I appreciated all of the love and support you all gave me during my first pregnancy and will definitely appreciate it again this time around. Have a great day!” Cute! Looks like Jessica's little one will have plenty of celebrity playdates ahead, between Kate Hudson, Natalie Portman and Victoria Beckham's new additions that will all be born within a few months of each other. Wonder if anyone else will join the latest celebrity baby boom?
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 25 2011 in Paris, France. Joining the stars flocking to Paris this week, Jessica Alba picks up some new treats at the Gucci boutique on January 25 in preparation for the Vogue Paris Dinner held in honor of Gucci designer Frida Giannini later that evening. For her visit at the store, Jess dressed to impress in a flirty floral mini (try a fun print like Ella Moss' Cobra Skirt in Charcoal) topped with a black blazer (like Kill City's Leather Lapel Blazer in Black), black stockings and a pair of fun lace-up booties (soften the look with Farylrobin's Valenta Platform Bootie in Black). After checking out the boutique, Jess switched from a black scarf to a grey one (like Lucky Brand's Soft Shore Scarf in Grey) with a warm overcoat in her arm and a studded tote over her shoulder (check out the similar strap detail on Julie K Handbags' Leah in Black). What do you think of Jessica's Parisian style? Jess made her way across the Atlantic with her makeup artist Lauren Andersen, and she's been documenting the entire trip with messages and photos on Twitter. Besides tipping fans on hot eateries to check out like La Pharmacie and Café de Flor, Jess kept everyone posted on her most critical activity, Tweeting: "Jet lag you will not defeat us! Last day in Paris. Shopping shopping shopping." Gotta love her enthusiasm!
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 17 2011 in Pacific Palisades, CA. Heading out for a friend's bday bash, Jessi ca Alba was spotted with hubby Cash Warren and their baby girl Honor in Pacific Palisades, CA on January 17. The happy fam enjoyed the afternoon soiree after a long weekend which included a shopping trip in Beverly Hills and picking up yummy eats at Whole Foods. I have to say compared to some of her peers Jess does a great job of juggling mommyhood with her career – although she did forget to feed the meter on the way to a business meeting the following day, and wound up with a parking ticket! For the birthday bash Jessica channeled a casual 70's vibe, pairing a tan and yellow plaid Madewell top (check out Jenny Han's Basic Plaid Shirt in Noir Plaid) with a pair of wide leg flares (love 7 for All Mankind's uber flattering Miller Trouser in New York Dark) and wooden wedges (similar to Farylrobin's Imogen in Brown). Jess carried a chunky knit cardi (indulge in Alexander Wang's Fishermans Cardi in Storm) and carried a navy suede barrel bag, accenting her look with a heart pendant necklace (add a sweet touch with Femme Metale's Ice Cream Cone Charm in Silver). What do you think of Jessica's casual style, are you a fan of flares this spring? I have to say I like the leggy look for her, it works with her coloring and definitely gives her a cool mom vibe. Not to say this trend isn't to be tried by all ages! Have any of you been sporting flares this winter? After receiving the news that her latest rom-com Little Fockers is still pulling in big bucks in its fifth week of release, Jess was spotted catching a departing flight out of LAX en route to Paris to take part in the Spring/Summer 2011 Haute Couture Fashion Week festivities. Can't wait to see what she turns up in next!
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 09 2011 in Beverly Hills, CA. Bringing the weekend to a close with her family tradition, Jessica Alba heads out for a yummy lunch at Jack n' Jill's in Beverly Hills on January 9 with husband Cash Warren and toddler Honor Marie. Jess spent a decent amount of time with her fam over the weekend, accompanying her little girl to Nicole Richie's daughter Harlow's celeb filled birthday bash at the Tree House Social Club the day before. To wind down the weekend, Jess got wrapped up from head to toe, starting with an ombre scarf (add some dimension with Lucky Brand's Off The Charts Skinny Scarf in Charcoal) over a charcoal tee (try Fresh Laundry's Wedge Top with Lace in Charcoal) and a long grandpa cardi (layer up in Willow & Clay's cozy Crochet Sweater in Charcoal). Jess wore black skinnies (like Genetic Denim's The Shane in Zinc) to complement her wedge wrapped ankle boots, which I'm personally swooning over. As a finishing touch Jessica carried a black metal accented tote (check out Alexander Wang's gold riveted Darcy Slouchy Hobo in Black) and covered up in oversized sunnies as she made her way about the day. What do you think of Jessica's layered look, do you like the way she's mixing shades of grey? While Jessica's little girl is growing up fast – Harlow just turned 3, and Honor is right behind her – Jess recently chatted about her parenting style when it comes to tv: "I don’t really like her to see too much television, in the first place, and I don’t want her to have bad dreams. And there’s always a villain in Disney movies… I think she should be stimulated with other things and playing dress up and coloring." I agree that kids should be running around playing instead of glued to the boob tube, but do you think it's okay for Jess to make her anti-TV views public, given that she makes her living thanks to film?
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 07 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Getting the New Year off to a professional start, Jessica Alba heads to a meeting in a cozy 'fit on January 7 in Los Angeles. Jess put her casual layered look together starting with a chunky knit cardi (try Splendid's ultra soft Feather Wool Cardi in Camo) over chocolate skinny jeans (check out Tag Jeans' Stretch Skinny Pant in Brown) and a pair of worn in brown knee-high boots (try Farylrobin's Lottie Chelsea Boot in Brown). Jessica accessorized with a pair of gold hoops (check out the unique shape of Circadian Studios' Gold Chunky Hoops in Gold) and not one but two handbags (combine the two shapes with Alexander Wang's envious Darcy Slouchy Hobo in Black). What do you think of Jessica's laidback tonal look? Jess looks a little glum to be going back to the office, but I definitely would be too after spending a week in Cabo with the fam. Jessica and Cash headed south for the holidays, ringing in the New Year splashing at the pool with their little girl Honor. After relaxing with the fam, the Warrens returned to watch Jessica's parents renew their vows. Sounds like quite a lot of love floating around – definitely a good sign for the months to come, right?
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 26 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Enjoying the holidays with her fam, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren were spotted out with baby Honor Marie in Beverly Hills, CA on December 26. The happy fam did some post-Christmas shopping following a brunch with a few visiting guests. Jess bundled up to cope with the on-and-off showers plaguing LA, starting with a cute plaid coat (like Jack by BB Dakota's Plaid Long Coat in Ellen) over a charcoal tunic (try Fresh Laundry's Wedge Top with Lace in Charcoal), indigo skinnies (check out Joe's Jeans' Chelsea in Anabella) and black lace-up booties (similar to Farylrobin's Lance Knee-High Boot in Black). Jessica kept her peepers shaded with round black sunnies, carrying a silver accented black tote (try Julie K Handbag's Gabby in Black) as she strolled the shops. What do you think of Jessica's casual cold weather look, does it work for her? I really like her hair these days, the soft waves look so much more natural than her past styles and dye jobs. Besides the holidays, Jess has another great reason to celebrate – her new comedy Little Fockers came in at number one in the box office this weekend, making the funny flick her second number one film last year, with Machete making the first. Seems like 2010 was very good to Jessica! Now that the year is officially over, what are you readers looking forward to in 2011?
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 24 2010 in West Hollywood, CA. Spending some quality time with her mama and baby girl, Jessica Alba makes the trek to Trader Joe's in West Hollywood, CA on December 24 to pick up all the cooking essentials for the Christmas holiday. Jess shopped the aisles while her mom kept Honor Marie entertained, stopping to chat with a pal while picking out a few bottles of wine for the evening. For her casual afternoon out, Jessica started with a vibrant printed dress (check out Diane von Furstenberg's Jeanne Wrap Dress in Black/Peach) with black stockings, flat black boots (like Farylrobin's Mandy Tall Lug Sole Boot in Black), a cozy black scarf (bundle up in Lucky Brand's Soft Shore Scarf in Black) and a slouchy black coat (add a little texture with True Grit's Long Coat in Black). As a finishing touch, Jess toted a black carryall with metal accents (try Julie K Handbags' Gabby in Black), clutching her lengthy TJ's receipt in her hand. What do you think of Jessica's laidback look, does it work for her? I'm loving her relaxed straightened hair, the casual vibe works perfect for day to day outings like this. Prior to heading out, Jess reached out to her Twitter followers with a fun conversation starter: "#MerryChristmasEve tweeples. Presents wrapped now onto Xmas din shopping. Who else is cooking an organic X-Mas din? What's on ur menu?" Now that the holiday has passed, how did your holiday meals go? Any exciting organic tips to share?
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 03 2010 in London, UK. Jessica Alba heads to London with hubby Cash Warren on December 3 just in time to attend the Miu Miu store launch party at Lancaster House. On an extremely chilly night Jess arrived at the event with a wool Prada coat (try Suzabelle's Nicolet Trench Coat in Classic Taupe) over her Miu Miu Spring/Summer 2011 colorblock dress with a caramel sequined bodice and bright chartreuse skirt (make these bold hues work for you with Boulee's Natalie Pleated V Back Dress in Lime or Chaudry's Sequin Dress in Gold) with tan patent heels (like KORS Michael Kors' Julian Patent Pump in Sand). Jess carried a sandy clutch (try Lodis' Cayman Siren Clutch in Dove) and wore contrasting burgundy nail polish to complete the look. I'm not a fan of the limp layers framing her face, what are your thoughts? On her way to the event Jessica tweeted about how cold it was out, but when she stepped out with no stockings and open-toed heels the paparazzi asked her what her secret is to staying warm, "Hand warmers," she said, showing off small teabag sized pouches in her pockets, "I always have them with me – in my shoes too. You can even get slimline ones that you can wear with peeptoes." Clever!
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 21 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking glam as ever, Jessica Alba poses in the press room backstage at the 2010 American Music Awards in LA on November 21 as she waited to go onstage to present the award for Favorite Female Artist (Country), which happened to go to the lovely Taylor Swift. At the event Jess chose a very sophisticated one shoulder Cushnie et Ochs dress (work the look this holiday in Tt Collection's Audry Dress in Black or try Ella Moss' more playful Avedon Dress in Black) paired with some exquisite gold cuffs and a matching gold choker (try pairing Anna Beck's Timor Twisted Cuff in Gold with the Raja Large Gold Rectangle Shapes Cuff in Gold for your wrists and add Amrita Singh's Cheya Necklace in Gold to make a statement). Jessica wore her hair slicked back in a polished bun and completed the look with ankle strap Christian Louboutins (try Farylrobin's appropriately named Jessica in Black), giving her a very regal look at what was otherwise an event dominated by super short, embellished frocks. What do you think of Jessica's grown-up choice here, does it make the right statement? In terms of verbal statements, Jessica has been giving quite a few lately about how she views the entertainment industry, and in her latest interview she was asked to name a good role model in the business: "My role model is Angelina Jolie. She is so beautiful and has an incredible career. People talk more about her profession as an actress and humanitarian work in contrary to her looks.” I don't know if this is necessarily true – people talk about Angelina for a lot of different reasons, and being the sexpot who stole Brad Pitt is definitely one of them – I get the sense from this quote and her new sophisticated style direction that Jess wants to be looked at in the same professional light as well. What are your thoughts, readers?
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 20 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Jessica Alba makes a pretty, polished statement on the red carpet of the CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute event at the Shrine Auditorium in LA on November 20. Jessica's husband Cash Warren escorted her to the annual event, which honors ordinary citizens around the world for making a difference in their communities. Jess arrived at the event in a pretty black and ivory brushstroke plaid printed frock with slimming taupe panels at the sides (try Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Cami Dress with Piping in Multi or Jenny Han's Strapless Party Dress in Festive to mix prints and solids at your next event) with demure taupe heels (try KORS Michael Kors' Julian Patent Pump in Sand). Jessica wore her hair pulled back in a sleek chignon, adding a gorgeous statement necklace (like Amrita Singh's Faye Necklace in Gunmetal/Jet) to complete the look. What are your thoughts on Jessica's frock, does it work for her figure or do you think it makes her look a little lacking in the bust region? I just wish she didn't blend into the beige press wall so much, it's distracting from what is otherwise a very pretty look for her. In other Alba news, the full transcript from Jessica's interview with Elle magazine was released this week, delving more into the context in which Jess made what some considered a snide comment that "good actors never use [scripts]." In the interview, Jess went on to say that she nearly quit acting all together after her Fantastic Four director Tim Story gave her some shallow advice during an emotional scene: "[He told me] 'It looks too real. It looks too painful. Can you be prettier when you cry? Cry pretty, Jessica.'" She continued, "And then it all got me thinking: Am I not good enough? Are my instincts and my emotions not good enough? Am I not allowed to be a person in my work? And so I just said, 'F**k it. I don't care about this business anymore.'" Talk about an intense day at work! Wonder what changed her mind and kept her from retiring?
Jessica Alba seen on Oct 05 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Braving the rainy weather in LA, Jessica Alba enjoys breakfast at Nate N' Nals with Honor and a gal pal in Beverly Hills on October 5. The trio headed to Best Buy after their meal, stocking up on a huge stack of CD's, including tons of selections from the Beatles. Maybe she was prepping for a rainy day dance party with Honor that afternoon? For their day out Jess layering up in a cozy charcoal sweater (try Twisted Heart's Fallen Angel Sweater in Heather) with an ash grey coat with oversized lapels (check out the similar style of BB Dakota's Quinn Coat in Grey) and a colorful floral scarf. Jess wore indigo jeggings (like 7 For All Mankind's booty flattering High Waist Roxanne in Elinore) tucked into black rainboots and cozy knit leg warmers. As a final touch, Jessica carried a classic quilted Chanel handbag (add a little edge with Julie K's Renee Flap Shoulder Bag in Black) and of course the adorable Honor Marie on her hip. I'm just loving her cowboy boots! What do you think of Jessica's rainy day style, are you feeling the bright printed scarf as much as I am? In addition to her musical purchases, Jess was also spotted with a friend at Costco two days later, picking up a full entertainment set including a TV, 2 receivers and a DVD player. Wonder what she's up to – home renovation? Present for Cash? Hope all that isn't going in Honor's room!
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 28 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Spending some quality time with her mama, Jessica Alba leaves baby Honor Marie at home and heads out to grab a bite at her fav eatery Urth Café in Beverly Hills on September 28. It's only been 3 days since she and Honor last stopped by to grab a latte to go, and it looks like Jess just can't keep herself away! On this outing Jess dressed up in a bubble printed dress (check out Carter's Skull Trapeze Dress in Black) topped with a cozy charcoal cardi (I love Splendid's super comfy Fleece Cardi in Mud) and coordinating charcoal open toe booties (add a little spunk with Rock & Republic's Ginny Crystal Mesh Bootie in Black). Jessica accessorized with a long charm necklace (add a unique touch with Robyn Rhodes' Starr in Silver), carrying a black tote as she made her way into the café (Rough Roses' Leo Tote in Black is a great carryall to keep all your essentials organized). Jess wore her hair in straight, choppy waves, adding a little color with hot pink nail polish. Maybe Honor picked it out? What do you think of Jessica's lunchtime look, do you like the monochromatic textures? For as beautiful as she is, Jess was recently featured in the British GQ, where she revealed just how insecure she is about her body: "My breasts are saggy, I’ve got cellulite, my hips are bigger… every actress out there is more beautiful than me. I’ve never been comfortable showing my body off. I used to have anxiety attacks before shoots. I’ll never do a nude scene. I can act sexy and wear sexy clothes but can’t go naked." Which brings me to ask, what about the whole airbrushed undies incident for Machete? No official comment yet from the Alba camp!
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 25 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Enjoying some time with her little girl, Jessica Alba and Honor Warren head out to lunch at Urth Café in Beverly Hills on September 25. The ladies look like they're enjoying the heat that has finally hit LA – talk about a late summer! Jess headed out in a swingy white tank (like Wilt's Hi Lo Cotton Tank in White) paired with faded flare jeans (get the look in Work Custon Jeans' Roxy in Silver Lake) and a pair of wooden wedges (check out Farylrobin's Iris Platform Wedge in Bronze). Jess added a fun leopard print wrap scarf, carrying a black flap tote (keep all your essentials organized in Rough Roses' Leo Tote in Black with plenty of exterior pockets) and added a little shine with a few silver bangles (love the swirl design on Lois Hill's Hammered Tapered Cuff in Silver). What do you think of Jessica's down to earth style, does it work for her? I'm loving Honor's coordinating printed top and denim shorts – very cute without being too matchy matchy. Jess is enjoying some down time before the release of her next movie, but she's come under fire after stills surfaced of her appearing nude in a shower scene in Machete, which came out in the theaters earlier this month. In an interview earlier this year, Jess proclaimed her opposition to nudity: "No, I'll never do a nude scene. I can act sexy and wear sexy clothes but I can't go naked. I think I was always very uncomfortable about the way my body developed, and I remember my grandmother would freak out and throw a towel over me if she saw me wearing just a bra and panties. I come from a very Catholic family so it wasn't seen as a good thing to flaunt yourself like that." Wonder what changed her mind? It seems technology might be to blame here – Jessica actually shot the scene in a bra and panties which were later edited out! What will they think of next?
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 10 2010 in New York, NY. Getting all dolled up for fashion, Jessica Alba came out for the festivities at the Ralph Lauren Soho store in NYC on September 10 during the Fashion's Night Out event taking over the city. Jess looks super excited to be a part of the fun, wearing head to toe RL starting with a sparkly nude dress (like Sue Wong's Vegas Cocktail Dress in Champagne/Taupe) topped with a black moto jacket (similar to BB Dakota's Washed Leather Moto Jacket in Black), lightening up the leather with ivory and silver heels (love Coye Nokes' Joan Bootie in Sabbia Embossed Python). Jessica got in the fall spirit with a glossy plum clutch (add a rich pop of color with Lodis' Lily Large Clutch in Lilac), adding a little shine with a mix of silver bracelets (I love the unique carved design on Lois Hill's Large Tapered Cuff in Silver). What do you think of Jessica's sassy look, do you think all the pieces work together? I'm not only loving the different elements she's got going on here, the messy curls are a great complement as well. As a final touch Jess showed off an unusual multi-colored manicure, posting a photo to her Twitter page of her silver pinkies and asking fans to share their own nail creations. What do you think of Jessica's fun with polish, do you mix your mani colors as well?
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 02 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking happy to be back in LA, Jessica Alba touches down at the Los Angeles Intl Airport on September 2. Jess spent the previous week in Venice, Italy promoting her latest film Machete at the Venice Film Festival, looking gorgeous at the premiere in a noteworthy Valentino "mullet" frock with a short front and long train in the back. For her returning flight Jess stayed casual to catch a few zzz's in style, pairing loose cuffed boyfriend jeans (try rolling up Denim of Virtue's Boyfriend Loose Fit Jean in Distressed) with a sheer taupe top (love Splendid's lightweight basics like the Light Jersey Heather V Tee in Mud) and cropped ivory jacket (stay cozy in Qi New York's Beat It Motorcycle Jacket in Light Heather). Jess got in the fall spirit with a merlot colored bag (check out Danielle Nicole's Lindsay Mini Bag in Burgundy), strolling in coordinating multi-colored burgundy flats (try Farylrobin's colorful wedge Dakota in Violet). Besides the slightly disheveled hair you can hardly tell Jess just stepped off a transatlantic flight! What do you think of her casual fall style, are you a fan of the peek-a-boo bra? Jess's horror flick has been in the box office for a week now, and despite lackluster reviews for her cast mates, Jessica's performance as a Latina immigration and customs enforcement officer has received praise. Though Jess is half Mexican, this is the first time she's played up her heritage on the big screen, as she explained: "For me, I never wanted to reinforce any stereotypes about Latin women, and that was why I've shied away from Latin characters I've been offered. Most of them reinforced the stigmas. The women whom I grew up with are intelligent, strong women, and unless I read a woman being portrayed that way in a film, I didn't want to play it…This woman is just as fierce as the men, and so I'm proud to bring that to life and put that imagery in people's heads." Are any of you curious to see Jess and LiLo on the silver screen?
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 30 2010 in New York, NY. Lightening up in NYC, Jessica Alba poses in a fun n' flirty frock outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre on her way to tape "The Late Show with David Letterman" on August 30. Jess made her way to New York this week to promote her violent new film Machete, which opens in theatres September 3. Earlier in the day Jess stopped by the Sirius XM studio for an interview, changing out of her all black ensemble into a flirty ruffled turquoise mini for her evening appearance (get the girly look with Isabel Lu's Perfectly Pleated Dress in Turquoise, Luc by Lucy's Abstract Polka Dot Dani Dress in Mint Polka or Moschino Cheap & Chic's Moschino Dress in Cream). Jess showed off her legs for days with the super short frock, but I have mixed feelings about the blue velvet heels she chose (something lighter yet still unique like Farylrobin's Jayden in Taupe might have worked better). Do you think the heels work or is she trying too hard? Jess swept her hair back for the appearance, showing off her toned arms and shoulders. I don't know about you but I think Jess looks positively radiant here, what are your thoughts? Jessica's last few roles have definitely been appropriate for adults only, and when interviewed by FOX Pop Tarts Jess admitted she wants to have more work she can show her daughter: "I think there is a nice balance (between “family friendly” and more adult films) but it would be fun to do more films that my daughter can see. I like finding a character who finds herself, finds strengths and actually uses her damn stilettos (for a purpose) instead of just killing her feet." It sounds like her dreams may come true – Jess is in talks to appear in the next Spy Kids film as a retired spy who mentors her stepchildren. Sounds like a great positive female influence for Honor!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 16 2010 in New York, NY. Stepping out in a light summery look, Jessica Alba strolls NYC's SoHo neighborhood on August 16. Bringing her bad habits to the east cost, Jess was puffing on a cancer stick until she was spotted by the paps, which she quickly put out in an effort to hide her not-so-secret addiction. Not cute, Jess! I said it the first time she was snapped smoking, and I'll say it again – it really surprises me that someone professing to live such a healthy, organic lifestyle would be caught in this smoky situation. What are your thoughts, readers? In contrast to her unhealthy habits as of late, Jessica participated in a charity kickball game sponsored by her husband's BFF Baron Davis over the weekend, with her little girl Honor Marie cheering her on from the sidelines. At least she's doing some cardio to clear out those lungs of hers! After heading to NYC, Jess switched up her sporty style for an ultra femme full denim skirt (get the chambray look with Voom by Joy Han's Denim Judy ¾ Sleeve Dress in Denim or try the similar full skirt fit of Quiksilver's San Felipe Skirt in Tobacco) with a tucked in grey tank (T by Alexander Wang's Classic Pocket Tank in Heather Grey is a great pick) and cute caged wedge sandals (get ready for fall with Farylrobin's mod cut-out Dalia Wedge in Black). Jess mixed and matched her accessories, wearing a long old fashioned cameo pendant necklace, spiky wrap bracelets (like CC Skye's Spike Stud Triple Wrap Bracelet in Black) and an oversized black tote to complete the look. What are your thoughts on her style mixing, does it work for her or does she have too many vibes going on?
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 04 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Embracing her summer style, Jessica Alba heads to the salon in a casual nautical toned look in Beverly Hills on August 4. Jess reportedly spent over 3 hours inside, but emerged with her hair messily straightened – maybe she was just indulging in a few spa treatments? Jess put together her beach appropriate look with a striped navy and white tee (like Rachel Pally's Zuma Stripe Top in Midnight/White) with cropped trousers (try Joe's Jeans' lightweight Pleated Crop in Pebble) and fun cherry embellished sandals (add some color with Gwyneth Shoes' Aggie T Strap Sandal in Coral). Jess covered up in big black shades, carrying a tan and ivory tote (like Carla Mancini's leather trimmed Front Flapped Pocket Bag in White) and an eco-friendly reusable beverage cup. What are you thoughts on Jessica's breezy summer look, would you wear it or is it too preppy for your taste? As I write this post I'm sipping iced coffee from the same cold bev cup Jess has – and I'll admit I'm currently more obsessed with this travel cup than any other accessory in my closet! The best thing about it is that when I knocked it over on my laptop last week, not a drop spilled, which is an amazing quality that I'm sure a mother of a toddler like Jess can appreciate. At least she's staying hydrated on what proved to be a warm day in LA, compared to the unseasonably cold weather we've been experiencing. With heat waves occurring around the world, many of the lucky ones are jetting off on last minute summer vacations to beat the heat, like Jess and Cash enjoyed in France over the past few weeks. Are any of you taking any exciting trips before the temps drop?
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 01 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Getting back into her home routine, Jessica Alba heads out for a family lunch in Beverly Hills with husband Cash Warren and toddler Honor Marie on August 1. The fam is returning from a lengthy stay in the French countryside, returning to Cali just in time for Jess to prepare for the press tour for her latest film Machete, which has gotten a lot of buzz thanks to trainwreck co-star Lindsay Lohan. For their lunch outing Jessica dressed casually in ankle cropped jeans (check out the similar fit of Denim of Virtue's Boyfriend Skinny Jean in Eve) and a lace up tank (like RaMona LaRue's Diana Top in Black) topped with a casual beige cardi (love Joe's Jeans' slouchy Hunter Cardi in Eclipse). Jess accented her laidback look with some ferocious footwear (spice up your animal instincts with Farylrobin's Rambo Sandal in Snake) and a cute straw fedora, carrying a pebbly leather tote over her arm (similar to Tylie Malibu's Jett Bag in Black). Add a pair of Wayfarers and you've got easy summer style perfection! What do you think of Ms. Alba's attire, are you feeling the look or is it a little too safari for you? From outings like this, Jess seems like she's got a great thing going on with her family, but she was recently quoted on how difficult being married can be. She told The Daily Telegraph: "Marriage is tough. Everyone goes in with the best intentions. But you have to adjust and be sensitive to somebody else's needs, and that's quite hard for some people. Most people just want to be selfish and do what's right for them, but marriage kind of flips all of that. It shakes you up a bit because, all of a sudden, you have to coexist with somebody. It's hard work." What do you think of Jessica's comments, do you think she's hinting at problems ahead or just being honest?
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 28 2010 in Aix-en-Provence, France. Enjoying a laidback summer vacay, Jessica Alba and hubby Cash Warren were spotted in the south of France this week, getting settled in Aix-en-Provence on July 28. Jess looks blissfully chic in her travel attire after enjoying a leisurely lunch with family, but that cigarette isn't so chic! It's no secret there are tons of smoking celebs, but I'm really surprised to see Jess caught off-guard here, since she is the champion of eco-chic motherhood. I suppose when baby's away mommy will play – especially in Europe! After their lunch Cash and Jess picked up some groceries and a case of Pellegrino water, which Jess carried back to their car in her charming travel ensemble. Jessica put her look together with a chic pinstripe button down knotted over a flirty white embroidered skirt (try knotting Joe's Jeans' Sexy Military Shirt in Monty over Luc by Lucy's Eyelet Elise Dress in White or if you prefer to go a little shorter, Luc by Lucy's Lace Leni Skirt in White), wearing a pair of easy blue rubber Ferragamo flats to trek the city (add a playful element with Gwyneth Shoes' Cassandra Ballerina in Metallic). For her outing Jess was all about the accessories, layering up a straw fedora, classic black Wayfarers and keeping her cross-body pocketbook tucked close to her side (keep your belongings secure during your summer travels with Linea Pelle's Dylan Disco Clutch in Espresso). What do you think of Jessica's effortlessly chic look, have you been sporting the tied top trend this summer as well? Though they're on vacay, Jess and her hubby have been taking to Twitter to share pics of their favorite moments of this trip – which mostly involve eating! Who knew you could find both pizza and Korean BBQ in a French village? I'll be on the next flight!
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 05 2010 in Paris, France. Looking perky in Paris, Jessica Alba arrives in a gorgeous girly frock at the Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2011 Christian Dior runway show held at Musee Rodin on July 5. After spending some time in Paris to promote The Killer Inside Mefor the past week, Jess headed back to LA for a quick 4th of July with the fam and returned shortly on a girl's trip for Paris Fashion Week, Tweeting earlier in the day: “Just arrived back in Paris to see some haute couture fashions! I’m with two of my favorite girlie girls. So excited!” And how could she not be? Jess arrived at the show looking adorable in a pink floral strapless frock (get the summery look in Sue Wong's Embroidered Flower Summer Dress in Ivory/Purple or Luc by Lucy's Bubble Betty Dress in Leaf Print) cinched with a skinny braided belt, embellishing the look with gold accessories including textured hoops (check out Alex and Ani's Signature Endless Hoops with Ribbed Beads in Gold), a shiny cuff (love the varying shades of Amrita Singh's Emma Bangle Set in Multi) and a boxy clutch. Jess polished the look with white peep-toe pumps (try Gwyneth Shoes' elegant Paulette in Ivory) and a pair of oversized white sunglasses, tucking her tousled hair in a low ponytail. You'd hardly guess from this photo, but Jess Tweeted before the show that she had some trouble getting there on time: “On our way to Dior. Had a hair malfunction running late late late!” Looks like everything worked out fine! What do you think of Jessica's Fashion Week ensemble?
Jessica Alba seen on Jun 11 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Jessica Alba was spotted chatting it up on her cell while running errands in Beverly Hills on June 11. Later in the day Jess was spotted glammed up heading to a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, but before the taping she kept it casual in uber trendy cargo skinny jeans (get the look with Rich & Skinny's Cargo Legging in Aloe) and a loose white tee (like Splendid's super comfy Vintage Hi Lo Short Sleeve Top in Paper) topped with a brown leather vest (try Rails' Leticia Vest in Grey). Jess added ivory strappy sandals (like Gwyneth Shoes' Briee Strap Sandal in Off White) and added a little shine with gold rimmed sunnies and a studded cuff (try Anna Beck's Java Studded Medium Cuff in Gold) and an edgy black tote (love Danielle Nicole's Sahara Studded Messenger in Black). What do you think of Jessica's cargo casual look? For those of you into scary movies, Jess's new thriller The Killer Inside Me came out in theaters over the weekend. In the movie Jess plays a prostitute involved with a sociopathic cop killer that includes some brutally violent scenes, including one where Jess's character is punched repeatedly in the face. Jess recently shared in an interview why she made the decision to tackle such a graphic role: "I wanted to concentrate on doing movies with good directors. After I had my kid I was like, Gosh, as an artist it'll be so much more fulfilling to work with directors who can pull a performance out of me." Jess insisted another reason she took the role is that the film is based on a novel: "I think a lot of people also want everything to be shiny happy people, and they want killing to be a sexy guy with his shirt off blowing guy's heads off. This just shows how horrifying it is, which is responsible, actually." Are any of you familiar with the book, or had a chance to see the new flick?
Jessica Alba seen on Jun 05 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Enjoying a casual summer outing with her fam, Jessica Alba strolls out of the Cheesecake Factory in Beverly Hills on June 5 with her baby girl Honor and husband Cash Warren at her side. Working the Boho chic look, Jess picked a breezy denim Isabel Marant dress to spend the day in (check out CoutureCandy's cute chambray options like Tulle's Pleated Front Dress in Blue/White or Woo's Pocket Dress in Denim), roughing up the femme embroidered look with lace up boots and a black leather tote (toss all your essentials in Linea Pelle's ultra functional Dylan Folding Tote Executive in Black). Jessica braided her tresses into a messy bun and added some shine with gold bangles (love Amrita Singh's Alanna Bangle Set in Gold) and gold rimmed sunnies, which I personally am slightly obsessed with. What are your thoughts on this easy summer look, are you all about denim dresses or do you prefer to keep your blues below the waist? Although Jessica's latest flick The Killer Inside Me hasn't officially hit theaters in the US, there has been plenty of hype about her raunchy sex scenes with Casey Affleck, in which she plays a prostitute. Jess explained her nude limitations in a recent interview: "I will never do a nude scene in a movie. Ever. I can act sexy and I can wear sexy clothes, but I can't go naked. I think I was always very uncomfortable about the way my body developed. I remember my grandmother would freak if she saw me in a bra and panties - she'd throw a towel over me. I came from a very Catholic family." Pretty modest, no? What are your thoughts on nude scenes, do you think going topless is just as risqué or is Jess still living up to her Catholic upbringing?
Jessica Alba seen on May 07 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Showing off a cute, spunky look, Jessica Alba heads out for a little shopping venture with baby Honor Marie in Beverly Hills on May 7. The happy mom and daughter duo did what they did best at a string of BH boutiques, including the posh Prada store on Rodeo Drive. Enjoying the warm spring temps, Jess lightened up in cut-off boyfriend shorts (love the worn in look of True Religion's Blaire in Medium Drifter) and a cute floral tank (check out Ella Moss' Ginger Drop Top in Dime or Karen Zambos' Vera Top in Confetti to add a little flower power to your spring look). Cherry red boots and slouchy charcoal socks add a harder vibe to Jessica's sweet from the waist up look, embellished with an ornate cuff bracelet (check out Amrita Signh's Ayau Cuff in Silver) and loose, hippie-esque waves in her hair. What do you think of Jessica's look, would you rock it? The boots are definitely not what you see her wearing everyday, but I have to say I really like the tough vibe she's portraying here. Completely goes against the casual mom style she usually embodies! As evidenced by most of her style sightings, when Jessica is at home in LA she spends most of her time hanging out with her daughter Honor. But that doesn't mean she and Cash will necessarily push their own beliefs on their baby girl, as she recently discussed while divulging some info about her past: "I come from a religious and traditional family. My mom grew up in the South and she had a Southern Baptist upbringing but my father was very Catholic. It's hard to rebel without your family feeling like you're rebelling against them… I don't necessarily always agree with certain things and that has nothing to do with how much I love them or how much they love me. Family is the most important thing in the world." Jess and Cash certainly do take their family time seriously! What are your thoughts on family bonding, readers?
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 28 2010 in New York, NY. Dazzling on the red carpet at the Tribeca Film Festival, Jessica Alba shines in a flowy white gown at the premiere of her latest thriller The Killer Inside Me. Jess stars in the flick alongside golden girl Kate Hudson, who channeled a very different look in a mod black Louis Vuitton frock. Alba stood out in her gauzy Chloé gown (if you love the all white look for summer try Sue Wong's Macrame Mermaid Maxi in White or Da-Nang's Gauze Cami Dress in White). Jessica accessorized with a multi-strand gold necklace (like Amrita Singh's Xilo Necklace in Gold) and a wooden prayer bead bracelet (try a sophisticated version like Orka Messica's Gold Plated Oval Bead Bracelet in White), carrying a studded clutch as a final note (similar to Danielle Nicole's Kristi Clutch in Stone). With gorgeous new extensions and her husband joining her on the red carpet, I'd say Jessica's style is looking very revitalized these days! Jess has been in NYC with her fam for the past few days now, attending the Revlon Walk over the weekend and heading out to dinner with pals in the evening. On Wednesday she ran into a tiny issue, though: while trying to bake a snack for Honor, Jess had some trouble with the oven and set off the hotel smoke alarm! Her rep confirmed to People that all is well after the inferno fiasco: “[There was] no fire… just some smoke that unfortunately set off the alarm.” Glad to hear everyone is safe – and next time leave the cooking to the professionals, Jess!
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 15 2010 in Brentwood, CA. Enjoying the spring sunshine, Jessica Alba gets cardi crazy in LA while running errands over the past month. On March 19 Jess took Honor to Trader Joe's to stock up on groceries for the weekend, layering up in a white slub tunic (like LA Made's Seamed Scoop Tee in White), inky cuffed jeans (try Serfontaine's Minx Straight Leg in Twilite, designed to be worn cuffed with flats or full length with heels) and the cozy café colored Overdye Heather Cardi in Mud from Splendid, which you can snag in the same color or in Heather Grey on CoutureCandy. If you've ever tried on one of Splendid's super comfy cardis you'll know why celebs like Jessica love them – you just can't beat layering up in laidback luxury! Jess accessorized with a chunky chain necklace (Circadian Studio's Big O Mixed Chain Necklace in Gold has a similar vibe) and tan gladiator flats (like Gwyneth Shoes' Kenzie in Tan). A few weeks later on April 15, Jessica ventured out solo for coffee with a gal pal in Brentwood, leaving Honor with the nanny while running a few errands. Wearing the J Brand cargo skinnies everyone is going mad for, this time Jess paired her cardi with a tonal striped tank and a mixed chain necklace (love CC Skye's Devin Necklace in Gold), adding a spiky gold bracelet (just like CC Skye's Spike Love Bracelet in Gold) that definitely isn't child-proof! As a final touch Jess teetered on tan wooden platforms (similar to Andrea & Joen's Sierra in Camel), braiding the front of her hair back into a casual ponytail. What do you think of Jessica's casual chic attire, would you emulate her look? She looks like she's in a good mood in both of these shots, but Jessica recently mused on why it's not always peachy having a bunch of photogs following your every move. She explained, “It is what it is. But if I don’t leave the house, I don’t go anywhere and there’s no point in doing that. I’m a person! I think if you complain about it you seem like an asshole. More of an asshole than if you just go with it. It’s not like you ever get used to it — it’s like having sex with the camera in front of you — it’s just awkward!” Uhhh, is that a little TMI about what goes on with Cash in the bedroom? We'll have to wait and see!
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 15 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Getting glammed up in the name of fashion, Jessica Alba steps out in an edgy LBD in Beverly Hills on April 15. Jess attended the grand reopening of Tod's Boutique, happily taking the chance to preview the luxurious sampling of Italian leather goods before they're available to the public. Going for a hard all black ensemble, Alba wore a fierce black sheath dress with an attached leather vest (browse CoutureCandy's LBD section and pick out a similar sexy option like Jay Godfrey's Posey Elastic Back Dress in Black or KEEMiA's Heidi Belted Silk Dress in Black) and black clog inspired wedges. From the leather accents to the fashion forward footwear, what are your thoughts on Jessica's daring look here? Any LBD needs fabulous accessories, and Jess added a golden touch with a few chunky bracelets (love Laura Matthews Designs' Two Tone Cuff in Gold), tribal inspired earrings (check out the unique shape of Candace Ang's Sadie Earring in Black) and a black clutch with a gold closure (like Lodis' Audrey Golightly Clutch Wallet in Black) tying everything together. As a final note Jessica twisted her hair back into a messy updo and added a deep cabernet shade of lipstick to pump up the drama. I can't help but say she looks stunning, continuing to break away from her occasionally frumpy everyday style. Are you readers feeling the same? As the release of Jessica's creepy new flick The Killer Inside Me draws closer, Jess is dishing on the sadomasochistic sex scenes she filmed with star Casey Affleck: “It’s terrifying, it’s awful. As much as you’re setting up an environment, you’re still like, ‘There’s a camera pointing at me!’ I had pasties on and undies on, I was never naked. But still it’s weird — especially with a stranger. But then running in heels and firing a gun isn’t easy either!” Sounds like it will be quite the thriller!
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 12 2010 in Brentwood, CA. Venturing out in Brentwood on what began as a very gloomy Monday, Jessica Alba meets up with a gal pal for a lunch date and shopping trip on April 12. Jess took a break from her motherly duties after a long weekend of family fun, including their regular weekend brunch and a birthday party at Genghis Cohen restaurant the day before. Dressing to combat the unusually high and low temps LA is currently experiencing, Jessica played it safe in a colorful zip front top (love the color combo of Tricia Fix's Betsey Top in Oriental) covered with a slouchy cocoon sweater (just like Ella Moss' Viola Cocoon in Charcoal) and ash grey skinnies (like Paige Premium Denim's ultra comfy Verdugo Jegging in Stratus). Jess stayed comfy in brown motorcycle boots (like Farylrobin's Ulysses Motorcycle Boot in Brown) and dark tinted aviators, carrying a mahogany tote (try the similar shape of Linea Pelle's Dylan Satchel in Espresso) and accessorizing with a few gold bangles. Adding a youthful touch to her look, Jess pulled her hair back with a girly side braid to accent her everyday style. What do you think of her casual look, would you wear it? As I've said many times I think Jessica's style can be hit or miss, but nevertheless she appeared as a guest judge on last week's episode of Project Runway, joining a multitude of celeb fashionistas who've appeared on the show, including Jessica's close friend and fashion entrepreneur Nicole Richie. Wonder if this means Jess will be adding "designer" to her resume and expand her fashion career soon?
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 01 2010 in Santa Monica, CA. Heading out for a date with her daughter, Jessica Alba takes Honor Marie out for a treat in Santa Monica on April 1. It was a chilly day despite the sunshine, and Jess stayed bundled up in a white jacket (like Paige Premium Denim's Vermont Jacket in White) over a long slouchy tee (Joes Jeans' Blake Tee in Charcoal is a great basic) and ankle length Stella McCartney ombre jeans (love the flattering fit of The Battalion's Motorcycle Legging in Slate, sans dye effect). Black flats, a heavy duty diaper bag-purse combo (Linea Pelle's Dylan Folding Tote Executive in Espresso can work as a tote, overnight bag and more for busy moms and singles) and a fun printed scarf (love the whimsical design of A Graves' Colt 45 Scarf in Pink) complete the look. What do you think of her ombre leggings?? Surprisingly I'm loving the look – although more exciting footwear could have helped! For those of you who are fans of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Jess appeared on this week's episode assisting in rebuilding a home in Texas that was destroyed by Hurricane Ike two years ago. Jess eagerly shared how moving her experience was: “I’m totally inspired. If you have the love, and the capacity to love children, you should just adopt. And I plan on doing it…. My mom grew up around a huge family, and they always wanted more kids, and I was like, ‘Why don’t you just adopt?’” No word yet on how Cash feels about the potential edition to their family!
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 23 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Rushing around with an armful of shopping bags, Jessica Alba runs errands in style in LA on March 23. The mod mama was spotted in a cute biker inspired 'fit a la Rachel Bilson, pairing a flirty floral frock (like PGD Style's Satin Floral Mini Dress in Black/Red) with a cropped jacket (I'm lusting for Joe's Jeans' Moto Jacket in Black) and biker ankle boots with zipper details (get a similar look with Gwyneth Shoes' appropriately named Alba Ankle Boot in Black). Jess topped off the look with a spiky bracelet (like CC Skye's Spike Stud Triple Wrap Bracelet in Black) and blacked out sunnies, wearing a messy pony while out and about. What do you think of Alba's laidback look? I more or less consider Jessica's style to be pretty middle of the road: not that she has a terrible fashion sense, but she rarely blows me away with innovative red carpet looks. Which is why I found it sort of surprising she's a guest judge on Project Runaway this week. Other celeb fashionistas who've appeared this season include fashion entrepreneur Nicole Richie and model maven Lauren Hutton, so it seems sort of a stretch to put the inexperienced Alba up in the front row! I guess it sort of speaks for the whole line up this season, which in my opinion has been pretty uneventful, and dare-I-say boring compared to previous seasons. Are any of you PR fans feeling the same?
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 23 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Forget my previous comments this week about Jessica Alba's mediocre style – she's proving she can do day to night just right this week at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival Party at the W Hollywood Hotel in LA on March 23. Earlier in the day Jess was spotted running errands in a laidback biker inspired 'fit, but she certainly cleaned up nice to hit up the W's evening soiree. Jess walked the red carpet in a brightly patterned Proenza Schouler mini dress (add some color to your spring wardrobe with Single Dress' Rocker Tank Dress in Purple or Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Sweetheart Ruffle Dress in Multi) with rad laced heels from the same collection (add your own unique flair with Coye Nokes' Joan Bootie in Sabbia Embossed Python). Jess let the dress speak for itself and added a shiny gold cuff (like CC Skye's Chloe Lock Bracelet in Gold) and a neutral clutch (Zambos and Siega's Peggy Clutch in Stone is a flawless find) to balance the bold frock. I'm not completely sold on the accessories, but I love the unique print and colors of the dress I barely notice anything else. What do you readers think of Jess's straight off the runway attire? Since settling down with her husband and baby Honor, Jess has taken a big interest in politics, jetting off to Washington DC last year to attend the Clinton Global Initiative to discuss her education concerns. Since getting involved with ONE in the fall, Jess traveled to Senegal and Ghana to see first hand the impact of education on children there. She blogged about her experience on the org's website: "I’ve wanted to travel to Africa my whole life and when offered the opportunity to listen and learn alongside ONE, it was a once in a lifetime chance that I couldn’t pass up." Jess wrote a full blog post on her African adventures, designed to raise awareness about poverty and education a few months ahead of the South Africa hosted 2010 World Cup. Jess spoke about how much hope she has for the program to succeed: "Not only is this going to be a tournament to remember, but the lasting legacy of this World Cup will be education for all." I can't help but feel a little inspired! Read about the rest of Jessica's travels here to get involved.
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 20 2010 in Brentwood, CA. Jessica Alba enjoys the warm LA weather and lightens up in a summery look while out in Brentwood on March 20. Jess took a little break from mommytime and met up with a gal pal for a cup of coffee and a treat on the back patio of Caffe Luxxe, known for its delicious cappuchinos. I'm drooling for one now just looking at her Cali casual 'fit! Jess started with acid washed cut off shorts (start your search for the perfect summer short with Joe's Jeans' Roll Short in Blanchet) and a loose graphic print tank (just like 291 Venice's Camping Cropped Tank in Cognac), slipping on an easy pair of flip flops (Elaine Turner's Michelle Flip Flop in White are a great warm weather basic). I'm loving Jessica's warm cognac tote (similar to Rough Roses' Riley Shopper with Front Zipper Pocket in Metallic Copper), keeping her accessories to a minimum with squarish hoops (love the unique shape of Circadian Studio's Gold and Silver Tiny Fringe Earrings in Gold) and a silver wristwatch helping her keep track of time. What do you think of Alba's casual look, does it work for her? The one comment I have to make is on her super slim legs – she looks like she's really slimmed down after gaining a few baby pounds last year! Some might say her thighs are getting a little too slim – do you readers think she looks healthy? After a super strenuous schedule filming 3 projects back to back, Jess has finally had some downtime lately, spotted hanging out with baby Honor around their LA home doing everything from park play dates to Trader Joe's shopping sprees. Nothing like spending a little quality time with mom!
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 03 2010 in Hollywood, CA. Laughing off the rain, Jessica Alba and husband Cash Warren make the most of the soggy green "carpet" at a pre-Oscar party held at the Avalon in Hollywood on March 3. The eco-friendly couple attended the Global Green USA kick-off party thrown especially for the "greenest" celebs in Hollywood, showcasing the latest energy conservation technology amidst the usual complimentary drinks and treats. I'm loving the hard and soft elements Jess has going on here, finding a balance between her spiky leather bracelet (like CC Skye's Spike Stud Triple Wrap Bracelet in Black) and Casadei gladiator heels off-set by an ultra femme baby pink mini (check out Ingwa Melero's girly girl Elena Mini Dress in Pink Combo or KEEMiA's Roxanne Ruffle Halter Dress with Feather in Pink). I'm not sure the black leather bow belt is necessary, but I like the mix of metallic with the python clutch she's carrying (combine the two elements with Susan Farber's Piccola Sofia in Lamb Silver). Going for the girly vibe, Jess wore a crown braid to keep the rain induced frizzies under control. I know this look is a lot to take in, so readers weigh in - what are your thoughts on Jess's style here? At the Global Green event, Jess and Cash canoodled with all of Hollywood's best known eco-enthusiasts, from Avatar director James Cameron to Leonardo DiCaprio to performances from Benji and Joel Madden. The event must have gone well, as Nicole Richie and Jess were spotted a few nights later exiting LA eatery Genghis Cohen just minutes apart with their respective kiddies and spouses. I never understood the whole exit separately thing – why not just rush out in a big mob instead of giving the paps time to reload their film? Oh, to be a celebrity!
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 19 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Getting ready for another wave of rain in LA, Jessica Alba picks up coffee and some treats to go from Urth Caffe in Beverly Hills on February 19. Jess got her cozy comfort on with a slouchy cable cardi (try Ella Moss' Viola Cocoon in Charcoal) over a printed top (like Da-Nang's Leopard Long Sleeve Blouse in Leopard) and distressed skinnies (check out Kasil Jeans' Benatar in Sabra). Jess paired tonal flats (try Coye Nokes' Amelia Flat in Ginger) and an old fashioned taupe quilted bag accented with gold studs and a gold chain strap (I'm loving Lesa Wallace's Eva Clutch in Tan) with her casual 'fit. What do you think of her low-key style? She's trying out another way to style the bob and I'm liking this one better than the others, even if it is lacking volume. What are your thoughts? Though she refused to jump on the Twitter bandwagon in the beginning, Jess has become quite a Tweet Queen, staying in touch with everyone from fans to co-stars to her husband. After the success of Valentine's Day over the weekend, Jess sent a shout-out to her "tweeples": “Big THANK U to all the tweeples who saw Valentines Day. Love you all for the support and kind messages!” Too cute to see her embracing the conversation!
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 08 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Bringing a bright burst of color to the red carpet, Jessica Alba glams up for the Los Angeles premiere of Valentine's Day at Grauman's Chinese Theatre on February 8. One could definitely say Jessica's style has turned a complete 180 lately, showing off her flirty, spunky side in this vibrant green Proenza Shouler mini dress embellished with a mix of sequins and feathers (embellish your spring wardrobe with verdant options like Lotta Stensson's Diamond Tunic in Green or Tricia Fix's Renta Mini in Aqua Peacock Feather). Alba paired her fab frock with teetering Marc Jacobs platforms in the same bold emerald and sapphire shades, adding a trio of metal bangles (opt for Amrita Singh's Allie Bangle Set in Multi) to complete the look. Red lacquered nails, wet styled hair and smoky eyes go hand in hand with the seductive jungle vibe Jess seems to be going for. I'm not really crazy about the way she styled her hair – it's actually pretty awful the longer I look at it – but I think her make up and mega-watt smile add a gorgeous touch to this borderline costumey attire. What do you think of her vibe here? Unlike young Hollywood stars like Lindsay Lohan, Jess usually keeps to herself and hence, away from the gossip columns, but if you recall a few months ago her hubby made waves with the likes of the Page Six crowd when he was spotted supposedly "making out" with LiLo at a lounge in West Hollywood just before Christmas. While Lindsay defended herself, revealing she and Cash do business together, Jessica never really commented on it until recently: "When people wrote lies about me before I had [my daughter] Honor, I’d get upset or I’d get nauseous or I’d get angry or I’d want revenge. Now, it’s like, it’s just so ridiculous and it’s not even close to being the truth." Way to rise above the rumors! Jessica continued, "Lindsay’s had to deal with this for so long. Everyone has to live their life, and that’s what people forget when you’re in this business – she’s really nice. We hang out and chat for hours about girl stuff." Girl stuff? LiLo? Are you sure we're talking about the same person, Jess?
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 05 2010 in Miami, FL. Jumping into the football frenzy in Miami, Jessica Alba kicks off the Super Bowl weekend with a few cocktails at the Audi Super Bowl party at the South Beach W Hotel on February 5. She tends to be a little camera shy, but Jess was all smiles while enjoying a night out with her hubby Cash Warren and catching up with gal pal and fellow football fan Hilary Swank. At the Audi party, Jessica lit up the room in her neon floral embossed frock (add some color to your spring wardrobe with similar tank dresses like Isabel Lu's Tank Dress in Pink, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Ruffle Tank Dress in Teal or Fernanda Carneiro's Mod Geometric Tank Dress in Raspberry Combo). I don't really love the platform peeptoes she picked to go with this (I prefer a sleeker style like Samanta's Viv Peep in Black), but they do pair really well with her chunky bib necklace (add flair to your 'fit with Amrita Singh's Teteo Necklace in Black). I'm sensing a spring trend coming on with this type of clunky jewelry, also worn by Jessica Simpson in LA a few weeks ago. It looks a little bit awkward to me – am I missing something in the appeal here? While not everyone can pull off such a bold shade of dress, I do have to say Jess looks amazing in her electric yellow frock – she looks super tan and the cute new bob doesn't hurt either! What do you think of Ms. Alba's Super Bowl style? At the Audi event, Jess shared with the press that she and the fam are rooting on the Saints, dishing that her dad is a huge Reggie Bush fan. Lucky for her, she and Cash got to cheer the Saints to victory from field level seats during the Sunday game. Not a bad way to celebrate!
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 06 2010 in Los Angeles, CA. Jessica Alba is one hot mama at the 2010 People's Choice Awards in LA on January 6. When I first saw these pics I couldn't stop staring in total disbelief – is that really you, Jess?? After her last public outing in total mom-worthy 'fit, it's great to see Jess reclaiming her style in this sizzling little number. Alba started with a cleavage boosting Antonio Bernadi mini in a silver swirl print (play up the shine with Shumaq's Isabelle Dress in Silver or tone down the peplum look for the every day with Suzabelle's Veronica Day Dress in Heather Grey) paired with chunky knot Burberry Prorsum stilettos and a matching taupe skinny clutch (Laura Matthews' Metallic Clutch in Bronze is a great pick). I'm not so sure about the color of her accessories, as it seems like black might have been a better pick for the winter season and to complement the cool silvery hue of the dress. On closer inspection the frock kind of reminds me of an armadillo, but it's so refreshing to see Jess actually dressed up that I can't complain. What are your thoughts? Jess also paired Cartier jewelry with the 'fit, wearing a sparkly onyx Panther cocktail ring (Kathy Kamei's The Saddle Ring in Silver is a great option that won't break the bank) and two white gold and onyx Love bracelets (try a subtle twist on the classic cuff with Michele Michel's Bracelet in Silver). The hair parted at the center isn't my favorite, but I'm loving Alba's shiny curled tendrils, smoky eyes and nude lips boosting the look with a dramatic element. Do you think it works for her or does she look too done up? Jess attended the PSA's as a presenter, handing off the Favorite Web Celebrity award to Ashton Kutcher, who beat out Ellen Degeneres in the race to see who could get over 1 million Twitter followers first. While both celebs are above the 4 million follower mark now, Ashton is still pulling ahead by a few hundred thousand in this pointless race. For you Twitter fans, who's your fav celeb to follow? Jessica Alba seen on Jan 03 2010 in Beverly Hills, CA. Venturing into the comfort zone, Jessica Alba strolls the Century City mall in Beverly Hills on January 3, heading out with hubbie Cash Warren and baby Honor at her side. Nothing wrong with throwing on a casual sweatpant from time to time, but I think Jessica's choice takes a serious turn to the frumpy side of mommy fashion. From the front pleats to the cuffs to the baggy crotch, I can't find one nice thing to say about these pants! It's funny how even a boring skinny jean would have turned this 'fit around from frump to casual fab. For her mall outing Jess started with a casual purple cardi over a white tank (get comfy in Splendid's luxurious Very Light Jersey Cardi in Sangria with PGD Style's classic Fancy Tank in White), with the aforementioned pants and classic white Converse All Stars (for a bottom alternative, try Civil Smith's much better fitted Dede Boyfriend Chino in Grey). Accessorizing with a python print bag (try Zambos and Siega's Brooke Bag in Chocolate or Ivory) and a long beaded necklace (love the casual simplicity of Castaway's Onyx Beads on Antique Chain in Onyx), I think overall the casual look is cute. Would you readers wear the baggy pants or are you in agreement that they're a little frumpy? Let's just assume Jess hasn't had time to do laundry yet, as she and the fam spent the holidays relaxing beach side in Mexico, savoring the last few days of 2009 before Jessica's whirlwind year gets started. Jess has a total of 5 movies already slated for release this year, so we can expect to see her on the red carpet quite a bit! From drama An Invisible Sign of My Own to rom-coms Valentine's Day and Little Fockers to playing a prostitute in The Killer Inside Me, we'll have a chance to see Jess do a little bit of everything this year!
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 24 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Jessica Alba and hubby Cash Warren run some pre-Christmas errands on December 24 in Los Angeles, stopping by their storage unit during the day before grabbing a bite for lunch and heading back to their little one. The pair presumably spent Christmas Eve getting in the holiday spirit with Jessica's family, as Cash Tweeted: “Xmas eve just took a wrong turn and I lost to my father in law in ping pong. Not sure how I will recover but hopefully Santa offers to help.” Ouch! Jess got in the festive spirit with a red plaid button down (try Civil Smith's plaid staples like Western Shirt in Red or the Angie Shirt Dress in Plum) paired with classic blue skinnies (like Rich and Skinny's Sleek in Blue Heaven) and suede buckled boots (check out the similar western inspired buckle on Gwyneth Shoes' Pipen Boot in Black/Tan). I like the color contrast of the leather boot buckles to the suede, but I'm not sure if 3 are really necessary – do you think it's overkill or cute? Jess and Cash have endured their fair share of salacious rumors between their courtship and marriage, but the latest is quite a shocker. When Cash was spotted out solo at Villa in West Hollywood earlier this month, onlookers saw him chatting with none other that mischief starter Lindsay Lohan, who supposedly planted a big one smack on his lips! While one of Cash's "friends" told US Weekly this isn't the first time he's gotten into trouble while apart from Jess, LiLo herself is shooting down these rumors, telling reporters Cash is her "BUSINESS partner, nothing more, nothing less. And I have NO interest in anything but focusing on my career/work, as well as my family, and getting everyone holiday gifts! Eeeks-stressful!" Wonder what kind of business they're doing together? Sounds like a bad romance to me!
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 07 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. It's the first rain of the season in LA and might I say Jessica Alba is especially prepared with a cozy scarf, long coat and sweater! She was spotted picking up a few things for dindin at Whole Foods in Beverly Hills on December 7, staying warm with a hot bev and head to toe knits. Jess started with gray tights and a cozy sweater dress (like Juicy Couture's Sweater Dress in Graystone) topped with a classic Burberry trench (Suzabelle's Nicolet Trench Coat in Classic Taupe is a great alternative), double wrapped scarf (like Raw 7's Short Shredded Scarf in Grey) and gorgeous taupe boots (I love the texture of Elaine Turner's Spencer Suede Croc in Buff). Jess carried an envious caramel colored Escada bag (check out Trace's Sunday in Taupe), which she actually lost her keys in and put down on the cement looking for them! Where are all my germaphobes thinking ewww? Other than that I love the comfy-cozy vibe Jess is rocking here, perfect for a chilly day in LA on the rare occasion it rains. I don't know about you other Angelenos but I personally would love some chilly winter weather right now – the unseasonable sunshine just isn't right! How are the rest of you faring in the record highs and lows happening across the US? Hope you are all enjoying very Merry Christmases wherever you are!
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 05 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Running a few errands while getting into the holiday spirit, Jessica Alba stocks up on cold meds at Rite Aid in Los Angeles on December 5. Earlier in the day, Jess and Cash had their usual Sunday brunch with their "little stink" before heading to Mr. Greentrees to pick out the perfect pine for the holidays. Jess recently joined the Twitter ranks, and like her husband is already an avid Tweeter, garnering over 45,000 followers since Nov 24 – not bad! While spending her Sunday out and about Jess shared her holiday joys with fans: "Just got our Xmas tree. Feelin’ festive despite my cold. :)” Dressing in a seasonably appropriate ensemble, Jess kept in cozy in a layered charcoal sweater over a black turtle neck (try Splendid's 1x1 Drape Cardi in Coal with Tracy Reese's Old School Mock Neck in Black), paired with destroyed dark skinnies (Denim of Virtue's Patience 5 Pocket Tapered Leg in Black Damsel are your most flattering pick) with buckled black boots (loving Farylrobin's Ulysses Motorcycle Boot in Black) and a studded black handbag (take it to the next level with Novella Royale's Mister Handbag in Black). As a finishing touch Jess layered a few silver chains (start with Ax+Apple's Emily in Silver) and classic aviators to complete the look. What do you think of her trendy mama style?
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 15 2009 in Malibu, CA. Jessica Alba shows off a cute autumn look while arriving at Malibu Vines with hubby Cash Warren and baby Honor on November 15 in Malibu. Jess has a tendency to go for dull looks, but I think she got her fall style completely right here, pairing a cozy ivory sweater dress (like Juicy Couture's Ruffle Front Dress in Graystone or Catherine Malandrino's Pointelle Sweater in Ivory) with a rich cabernet cardi (try Splendid's Very Light Jersey Cardi in Sangria) and a striped scarf pulling the look together (love A Graves' feminine yet edgy Colt 45 Scarf in Pink). I also adore her distressed brown boots (Farylrobin's Felicia Flat Boot in Bordo are another gorgeous shade for fall), especially with the colored leggings, which I'm usually against. Honor also looks cute on her hip in coordinating fall colors and leggings as well. Cute orange headband too! Cash tweeted about their excursion, "Engagement party at a vineyard in Malibu for one of my best friends this afternoon… another 1 bites the dust.” For a casual engagement party, this is a perfect look, especially with the green landscape in the background for party photos! What do you think of Alba's fall fashion?
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 09 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking lovely on the red carpet, Jessica Alba smiles for the cameras at the book launch party of Mark Liddell's Exposed: 10 Years in Hollywood at Lloyd Wright's Sowden House in LA on November 9. For the event Jess sadly went back to her staple black stockings (bangs head against table) but luckily her black and white Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2010 frock adds a refreshing contrast (get the look with Rachel Pally's Mischa Dress in Black and White or Alice + Olivia's spunky Sequin Stripe Dress in White/Black or the Raw Edge Tube Dress in Black), and her Christian Louboutin Lady Page pumps with girly bow adorned toes add a playful element. Jess added some light accessories, a dainty silver bracelet (try Lois Hill's Small Fleur de Lis Bracelet in Silver) and sparkly earrings (similar to Michele Michel's Wreath Earrings in Silver) and completed the look with an oversized silver clutch large enough to hold a few autographed books from the event (I prefer Julie K's petite Sasha in Ice)! I'm not crazy about the whole look but I do love the voluminous curls – and the smile doesn't hurt either! Jess will have to get used to smiling over the next few months, as her thriller The Killer Inside Me is due to be released in early 2010. In the flick, Jess plays the girlfriend of a seemingly normal small town cop (played by Casey Affleck) who is secretly a sociopathic killer. In one kinky scene, he spanks Jess repeatedly in bed – sure to attract young male viewers! Do you think the scene gave Jess and Cash any frisky ideas?
Jessica Alba seen on Oct 30 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking very chic at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event, Jessica Alba arrived at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on October 30 radiating subtle glamour in her Prada Resort 2010 dress. At the very least this look proves LBD's can be anything but boring with the right accessories! I couldn't find photos to show you the back of the dress, but it has a beautiful draped sheer treatment to complement the plunging v neckline (very similar to the back of Karen Zambos' Selma Dress in Black, but if you're looking for a showstopping LBD Generra's Deep V Dress in Black is a great option). Jess swept her hair up in a classy 'do to show off the dress, with glowing natural makeup and no jewelry. She carried a slender black clutch (I love the refined simplicity of Zambos and Siega's Morgan Clutch in Black), fringed wrap (Elizabeth Gillett's Brushed Metallic Scarf in Black is perfect for the holidays) and accented the look with black platforms with a bow embellishment. This look might be too plain for some but I think she executes it perfectly. I'm so glad she didn't cover up with ugly black tights for this event, which would have absolutely killed the chic style. I have to comment on her toned arms and legs as well – she has really slimmed down over the past few months! Jess has been busy filming Little Fockers lately, but she doesn't let long hours on the set get in the way of her parenting. Co-star Teri Polo talks to E! Online about moms on the set, including Jess: "Her little baby Honor has come to set and run around, and my baby girl who's almost two comes to set and runs around…Lots of gals, which is nice." Very cute that J is able to bring Honor to on set play dates!
Jessica Alba seen on Oct 21 2009 in Brentwood, CA. Showing off a cute retro look, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren took Honor to a Halloween party in Brentwood, CA on October 21. Love that Jess looks so happy for a change, but you know you're in a style crunch when people can't tell if you're in costume or not! My money is on not, so what do you think of Jessica's retro style? Honor was dressed in a Swiss Miss costume complete with a bonnet and twin braids. Papa Cash posted the photo on his Twitter account - so cute! Her mama arrived in a plaid Madewell blouse (try the similarly comfy Joe's Jeans' West Plaid Pocket Shirt in Charcoal/White) with cropped ankle jeans (like James Jeans' Ritchie Slim Leg Ankle Jean in Icon) and shiny white brogues. Loving the choice of footwear, even if I am starting to get sick of all the celebs trying to outdo each other in them! As a finishing touch Jess kept her hair tamed with a skinny headband and threw a huge black carry-all over her shoulder (check out Foley + Corinna's Savvy Tourist Bag in Black Patent). As you can see the Alba-Warren family got in the Halloween spirit a little early this fall. What are you CoutureCandy readers up to for the spooky holiday this year?
Jessica Alba seen on Oct 08 2009 in Century City, CA. Heading out for a quick trip to the Westfield Shopping Center in Century City on October 8, Jessica Alba was working a very interesting 'fit while texting furiously as she headed back to her car. What would you caption this look - Flashdance meets frump? Jess started with a simple black tank (I love the neckline on Ella Moss' Parisienne Tank in Black) tucked into pleated trouser shorts (try Rails' more flattering Mila Shorts in Black) finished with a black skinny belt (try CC Skye's flashy Ashley Belt in Black) and a cabernet cardigan (like Splendid's Very Light Jersey Cardi in Sangria). For some reason she wore striped above the knee socks with slouchy black flat boots, a look I'm not feeling at all – do any of you wear your boots like this? When I first spotted this I thought she might be headed to some kind of dance or pilates class at the mall, but I'm not even sure if that exists and if it did, why would you wear hoop earrings to it? Jess topped off the 'fit with dark Wayfarer-esque shades and two shopping totes, again making me wonder what she's up to! Later in the day Jess was spotted hitting up the Fred Segal sale with baby Honor totting along, back to her usual tunic and leggings combo. Jess isn't known for being particularly friendly to the paps or the press, but I was still shocked to see some vicious rumors about Jessica and her daughter floating around on the blogosphere this week. Some very mean people are bashing not only Jessica's hair and fashion sense, but spreading rumors that Honor is autistic too. Say what you want about what she's wearing (I know I do!) but it's completely shameful to dispel these kinds of negative rumors about an innocent baby. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when you start slinging cruel insults at a baby – I mean really, don’t you have anything better to do? A few gossip sites are also reporting that Cash and Jess are on the rocks because "they're never together anymore" – ahem, meaning they've adapted to hiding from the cameras! I think Cash's avid Tweeting completely dispels these rumors: "Dad and daughter day. Rocked out in the car on way to Whole Foods. Now, how do I convince her that breadsticks alone don't make a meal?" followed by, "Kids grow up so dang fast! Jess just sent me a pic of Honor on set with her and she looks soooo old :) Where has the time gone??" Does that sound like an unhappy family to you?
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 27 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. Debuting a bold new hair color in Beverly Hills last week, Jessica Alba enjoyed the last few days of summer and headed out for a mani-pedi with a pal on September 27. I'm not going to try to convince anyone Jess is looking super trendy here, but I am a little intrigued by the fresh-out-of-the-box haircolor. Let's just hope it's for her next movie! I wasn't super impressed with her going back to blonde over the summer (and from your comments, neither were most of you readers) but I definitely don't think this is the right way to go either. Wonder what kind of role calls for such a shocking shade? I think it had to have been a mistake because she was sporting a much less jarring shade while having family brunch with Cash and Honor at Griddle Café over the weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! While catching up with her friend, Jess went for an uber casual vibe in a studded charcoal tank (go edgy with Raw 7's Shredded Racerback Tank in Deep Navy) over a lacy black cami (steer away from the lingerie look with 7 for All Mankind's Tank with Lace in Onyx), black cut off shorts (go for the mid-thigh look with Pierce Jean's Key Large Trouser Short in Sailor and crop them to your desired length) and silver flip-flops. She went very classy with the accessories – a wristwatch and gorgeous cabernet quilted bag (like Linea Pelle's luxe Dylan Shoulder Bag in Purple) – but it looks like she's having a serious wardrobe malfunction in the inner thigh area. Do you think she intended to have such a hiked up hem? Rihanna wore similar shorts over the summer with a shorter front and back, except that hers was cut on the outer hem, not inner. Very peculiar! In other Alba news, Jess recently sounded off about her high school days when she was less than popular: “I was bullied so badly my dad used to have to walk me into school so I didn’t get attacked… I’d eat my lunch in the nurse’s office so I didn’t have to sit with the other girls.” How sad! Miley Cyrus and Hayden Panettiere have also recently spoken out about how hard high school for them thanks to bullies. Do you think the problem is the school or society?
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 23 2009 in New York, NY. Even though I wasn't particularly impressed with her wardrobe, I think Jessica Alba's recent trip to New York deserves a mention. She arrived at the opening reception of the Clinton Global Initiative at the Museum of Modern Art on Sept 23 with her husband Cash Warren before hurrying to the 4th Annual Important Dinner for Women at Cipriani 42nd Street. Straddling the line between fashion and politics, Jess opted for a vibrant red burnout velvet Prada Fall 2009 dress with an abstract floral print (get the luxe look with LaROK's Twist Wrap Dress with Ribbon in Black or Tricia Fix's Lanette Mini Dress in Sage). I've tried to be nice about Jessica's propensity for hosiery in the past, but this calls for an intervention. Why, why tights with everything? This dress would have been amazing with those thigh high boots she wore during NY Fashion Week, or even a sheer pair of stockings would have softened this look considerably. But no, the stark black tights, plain patent Mary Janes and no-frills hair equals a no-frills 'fit, unfortunately. I must say I do like the shade of rouge she picked to match the dress, and the simple black wristlet (like Julie K's Sarah Clutch in Black Glaze) and cuff bracelet (Danielle Stevens' Monogram Bracelet in Gold would be a nice touch) are decent complements. I just can't say anything else nice with the horrible hosiery ruining the look! Is it just me who thinks the tights have been overdone? The following day, Jess continued on her political path at the Clinton Global Initiative, taking the stage for a panel discussion with Bono on a wide range of global issues, including education. Upon her return Jess blogged about her experience and seized the opportunity to tell her fans about her commitment to 1GOAL: Education For All, aiming to raise awareness of the 75 million children around the world who don't have access to education. I wouldn't have thought I'd be interested in reading up on Jessica's thoughts on education, but she impressed me with the amount of info she picked up at the CGI. Check out what she wrote and tell me what you think about the cause!
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 15 2009 in New York, NY. Pulling off a very dramatic look at Narciso Rodriguez's Spring 2010 runway line-up at Bryant Park, Jessica Alba arrives just in time for the show in NYC on September 15. She arrived in a flashy sequined sheath tank (try Gold Hawk's Chevron Top in Moonless Night) with a sheer sparkly tulip skirt (opt for Walter's textured Foil Skirt in Gunmetal) from the NR collection, with racy thigh high boots. When I first saw this from the front, I thought she was wearing black tights again, so it's refreshing to see her do something daring in the footwear dept. Do you think she can pull off the boots? To complete the look Jess carried a black fringe bag (try Carla Mancini's Fringe Messenger Bag in Black) and pulled her hair back into a sleek bun, going for dark lashes and nude lips. What do you think of the 'fit? At the show Jess posed for the paps with Emmy Rossum, who was also wearing a Narciso Rodriguez skirt in the same fabric. What do you think of the texture? When she's not checking out her Latino's pals fashions, Jess is getting ready for the release of Valentine's Day, starring her and…pretty much everyone else in Hollywood. The trailer was just released today, although the film is set to drop the weekend of V-Day next February. What do you think of Jessica's loveless character's appearance?
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 03 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Jessica Alba was spotted heading out in a typical LA summer 'fit on her way to Los Angeles International Airport with baby Honor on September 3. I have to start with Honor's cape and fuchsia headband – so cute! Jess donned a matching pink tank (similar to Velvet's Keesha Top in Pinkberry) with bleached threadbare jeans cuffed at the calf (try cuffing Siwy's Hannah in Snowstorm) and an ash boyfriend cardigan (love Signorelli's Love Tree Button Cashmere Cardigan in Ash with its cute earth friendly screenprint on the back). I think the ratty scarf makes the look cluttered, but if you must accessorize try something lustrous like A Graves' Sparrow Scarf in Purple. Love the black shoulder bag (try Linea Pelle's Dylan Zip Tote in Black) and I'm starting to like the blonde side braid Jessica's been spotted wearing lately. She filmed scenes with Ashton Kutcher for Valentine's Day in LA earlier this week, so I wonder if it was her decision or the studio's to lighten up? It seems like just about everyone has a cameo in this funny flick, just to name a few: Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, Bradley Cooper, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Julia Roberts, and Jennifer Garner. We'll all have to wait and see until V-Day weekend in 2010!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 30 2009 in West Hollywood, CA. Continuing with their Sunday brunch tradition, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren took baby Honor to Jinky's Café in WeHo on August 30 for some grubs. It seems like no matter how big Hollywood may be, there's not a breakfast joint in town this fam hasn't tried – they're regulars at Urth Café, Jack and Jill's, Griddle Café and countless others. Jess was already spotted taking Honor out to breakfast earlier this week – maybe their chef doesn't do morning meals? On this particular outing, I have to say Jess is workin' the straw fedora, printed scarf look – love the vibrant green print and the matching gladiators! Since she played around with her accessories Jess kept it simple with a striped spaghetti strap dress (try Trina Turk's Biscayne Tunic Sweater Dress in Ecru or Ella Moss' Clementine Tube Dress in Sangria) and a studded tan tote (check out the similar buttery shade of Carla Mancini's Tote with Front Tassel in Tan), still wearing those silver hoop earrings (add some flair with Michele Michel's Swarovski Hoops in Silver) but no other jewelry besides her wedding band. I have to say I really like this look, from head to toe – pretty much a first for Alba's contrived style! What do you think, did she finally get it right here? For those of you living outside of Cali, you might have heard on the news this weekend that several massive infernos are blazing across the state, including one threatening up to 12,000 homes in the Angeles National Forest north of LA. Lots of celebs have taken to Twitter to speak out about the nasty air quality, scary predictions (the fire is only 5% contained) and of course the threat that Hollywood Hills residents may have to evacuate. Jessica's hubby even posted a pic of the smoke on Sunday with the caption: "Doesn't that cloud look like LA got nuked?" Countless celebs make their homes in the HH area alongside Jess and Cash, including Christina Aguilera and Kristen Bell, who Tweeted about putting her fire safety kit together over the weekend, just in case. It's very scary to think about but good to see everyone is staying safe! Have any of you readers been affected by the fires this week?
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 27 2009 in Santa Monica, CA. Back from a family vacation to Austin, TX, Jessica Alba was spotted going to an office appointment with her husband Cash Warren on August 27 in Santa Monica, CA. It's been pretty steamy in LA this week and Jess kept cool in a loose lilac pocket tee (like PGD Style's Ricky Tunic Tee in Plum Kitty), cuffed bleached skinnies (like Joe's Jeans' Chelsea Cuff Jean in Cooper) and metallic ballet flats. She kept her accessories minimized to a navy handbag (love Antoinette Lee's versatile Stella Tote in Royal), silver hoops and classic black Wayfarers. Nothing too special except for the vibrant violet shade – love it! Looks like Jess is also still rocking the blonde tresses – what do you think of the lightened shade? Jess has told the press multiple times she refuses to get onboard with Twitter because she's too busy being a mom (can't blame her), but that won't stop Cash Warren from sharing his daddy joys with their fans earlier this week: "Good night ya'll. Back to LA tomorrow. What a weekend in Austin [Texas]. Honor took her first steps tonight!! Uh oh..." How cute!
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 24 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking a little grumpy, Jessica Alba grabbed breakfast with Honor in Los Angeles on July 24. Letting the little "stink" take the keys (hey, it's what her daddy calls her), Jess made her way from the Newsroom Café to the car with her little one. Honor's looking more and more like her mama everyday – especially with that little scowl! Alba dressed casually for her morning outing, wearing a navy tunic dress (check out sleeveless options like Graham and Spencer's Cinch Waist Dress in Navy, Velvet's Marlo Mini Dress in Navy or Tracy Reese's Embellished Tunic in Light Navy for different looks) with strappy white sandals and a long gold necklace (check out Lisa K Designs' elegant Lace Cake Necklace in Gold/Pearl). I'm not sure which purse is the diaper bag, but I'll ignore the boring leather one because I'm too preoccupied with her white python tote (Carla Mancini's Braided Handle Tote in Off White Crocodile has a similar vibe). I like the summery white accessories, even if the navy is a little dull…. Or very dull. I do like the blonde waves though – at first I wasn't loving Jessica's lightened tresses but she's definitely learning how to make them look almost natural. Do any of you think she looks better as a brunette? Since her baby girl was born a little over a year ago, Jess has been dishing plenty of advice about being a celebrity mom. Now that Honor is getting older, she's finding parenting easier said than done: “It’s a lot more difficult to juggle motherhood and a career than I ever anticipated. So busy! And Honor is more mobile now than ever before and loves putting just about any foreign object in her mouth. I have to be a constant watchdog.” At least Jess can rest easy that whatever Honor puts in her mouth is probably non-toxic and eco-friendly in one way or another!
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 13 2009 in Brentwood, CA. Enjoying the summer heat, Jessica Alba was out and about in Brentwood, CA on July 13, running errands with a female friend with Honor on her hip. Her baby girl just had her first birthday last month – check out how much she's grown over the past few months! Channeling a super casual vibe, Jess paired cuffed distressed jeans (similar to Joe's Jeans' Chelsea Cuff Jean in Cooper) with a pink and brown striped tank (get your stripe on with Splendid's comfy Striped Tank in Medium or the 2x1 White Stripe Tank in Grape). Jess added a natural tote, her fav hoops (I like Robyn Rhodes' Mattie Double Hoop Earrings in Mixed Metal as an alternative to the classic), and gold flip-flops to complete the 'fit, along with her awesome pink feather headband. What do you think of the unique headpiece? I'm not crazy about wearing it for day, but on my last trip to NYC I saw plenty of girls turning heads at night with fun feathered clips holding back their tresses. Are any of you taking part? Maybe it's the recession that is bringing 20's era inspiration, but feathers and lace seem to be making a big comeback for fall. Stay ahead of the trend and order your own custom-designed headpiece from V.Loo Headbands. I wouldn't waste any time – her designs have been hand picked for 90210, The City and Gossip Girl!
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 02 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. Recently going back to blonde, Jessica Alba was spotted out shopping with a pre-teen pal on July 2 in Beverly Hills, CA. Picking up a new pair of (let's face it) some pretty heinous white sunnies, Jess played it cute and casual while out and about. Wearing cuffed boyfriend jeans (check out Tag Jeans' Montauk Boyfriend Jean in Light Vintage) with a loose graphic tank (like Lauren Moshi's Peace Girl Swing Tank in White) and slate gray tote over her shoulder (similar to Rough Roses' Roxy Tote in Grey), Jess schlepped around in flip-flops while making her way to a nail salon for a mani/pedi with her friend. Her 'fit isn't terrible for summer but I just can't get past the slicked back blonde hair and bug-eye sunnies. Yikes! Do any of you agree? Like many high profile celebrity moms, Jessica has worked hard to make eco-friendly changes to her home and lifestyle. Her house has been featured in People, InStyle and most recently, Vogue. Jess sat down for a min during her recent Vogue photoshoot to discuss the things she does to reduce her environmental impact, from having a lawn made of recycled tires to using non-toxic vinegar for cleaning around the house. She even touched on fashion: "You can definitely be fashionable and environmentally conscious. Just try to find organic, eco-friendly materials. Bamboo is a great material that we use in the house from our sheets to a lot of my daughter's clothes. What comes around goes around, and having a consciousness that everything you do in your life does come around. We do have an impact on the environment, from the way you live your life to recycling and the car you drive. Just being aware of that is the first step." I have to say, I couldn't agree more! Do any of you buy organic? Jessica Alba seen on May 17 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. Enjoying a little time to herself, Jessica Alba was spotted exiting a nail salon in Beverly Hills on May 17. Her style is usually nothing special, but I love the summery jade maxi dress Jess picked for her day of pampering (check out similar maxi options like Ingwa Melero’s Angelina Maxi Dress or Poko Pano’s Arabella Long Dress in Turquoise). I know the straw fedora is just to cover up messy hair, but something about the contrasting texture jumps out at me. Would any of you wear a similar hat during the summer? The denim tote (check out my personal fav for summer, Julie K’s Tia Hobo Shoulder Bag in Blue, Charcoal Glaze or Mocha) and tan woven sandals are a decent complement too. Completing the look with a long pendant necklace (I’m a fan of Maya Brenner’s Labyrinth Long Necklace in Crystal Quartz) and blacked out sunnies, Jess made her way back to her car being careful not to stub her newly polished tootsies. Luckily she didn’t find any presents on her windshield on Sunday, but Jess has been having a bit of trouble remembering the law lately. While she might be a good actress (key word: might be), Jessica just can’t seem to stop racking up the tickets. Jessica got a parking ticket while having lunch at Urth Café with Honor after her birthday last month, and was also spotted pulled over by the po-po on a separate occasion. Jess got another parking ticket while out with a friend in Beverly Hills earlier this week, and brushed it off like it was no big d. Wonder if she’s actually paying or just letting them pile up? Seems like her monthly expenses for parking might be getting kind of hefty!
Jessica Alba seen on May 04 2009 in New York, NY. Looking radiant a week after her 28th birthday, Jessica Alba attended the Costume Institute Gala and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 4. While most of the other attendees got the message that the event calls for a little drama and glamour, Jessica stuck to her signature style with a strapless colorblock dress by Jason Wu (check out Black Halo's Jacket Dress in Royal Blue in the same color scheme or stick to the colorblock look with Black Halo's Boatneck Sheath Dress with Hip Sash in Geranium/Deep Purple/Cranberry). Not that the dazzling bodice isn't breathtaking, and I love the cerulean blue skirt, but she could wear this any day. Why not go for the something a little more daring? And the tights - no more tights Jess! It's not even cold in NYC anymore, and the shoes are custom made Bruno Frisoni for Jason Wu. The concealing tights just don't do the one of a kind strappy style justice. Wearing tights with peeptoes is also a personal pet peeve of mine - why Jess, why? I guess she did try to "dress up" a little with the funky Rapunzel braids wrapped on her head, but the braids and little girl tights combo takes away from the youthful, sophisticated dress. I see those braids and think "fairy tale," but there is nothing imaginative about this look. Finishing it off with dazzling emerald Van Cleef & Arpels earrings (a little reminiscent of Angelina's Oscar look) and a decadent diamond, pink and mauve sapphire bracelet, Jess carried a hot pink clutch in a shade all too similar to her lipstick (pink lovers, try Carla Mancini's Small Clutch in Fuchsia), and painted her nails noir. What do you think of her 'fit of the evening? Surprisingly, this look landed Jess on both People and MTV's Best Dressed lists, saying she looks "young and fresh" - apparently they haven't noticed she wears tights every time she wears a dress like this! Yawn. Jessica did find her way on to The Huffington Post's Worst Dressed List, but next to Leighton Meister's freaky jester 'fit and Madonna's weird witch scrunchie head piece, I don't really think it's appropriate to saddle her there either. Where do you think she belongs on the fashion spectrum? The dress was custom made for her, after all, and Jason Wu spoke about how delighted he was to work with the actress: "She’s a great mom. I don’t know how she juggles it all. Busy acting career, being a mom and tonight as my muse. She’s multitasking, and she’s a great one at that." So if she was Jason's Muse of the evening ("Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion" was the theme this year) maybe we should blame him for not taking a chance on the red carpet. What do you think?
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 13 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Looking a little annoyed with her car keys while out and about with her daughter Honor in LA on April 14, Jessica Alba was out doing the mom thing in her mom 'fit. Love that the purple Wayfarers match Honor's hoodie, but the rest is pretty frumpy - I guess in a casual way? Jess started with a sky blue tank (like PGD Style's versatile Fancy Tank in Bonnie Blue) and comfy sweats (check out the fun print on Kushcush's Promenade Pant in Black/White, pairing a peachy cardigan (I adore the girly shade of Autumn Cashmere's new V Neck Cardigan in Ultramarine) and a matching scarf (A Graves' Colt 45 Scarf in Pink would be cute with the cardigan) with her ivory ballet flats and large Fendi tote. It's not so bad for running errands, but I'm not loving the matchy-matchy top half - it looks like she's trying too hard, don't you think? The day before, Alba was spotted exiting a salon on Melrose with newly highlighted locks - Hello, blonde! As you can see, Jessica lightened her locks considerably and is now sporting side bangs instead of the full fringed effect. Wonder if it's for her new flick, The Killer Inside Me, or personal preference? I'm one of those fans that thinks Jess looks better with her natural brunette locks than her former blonde 'do, but what do you think - does she look better au naturale or do with the new look?
Jessica Alba seen on Apr 06 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. Trying her hardest to be the best dressed mom in LA (trying being the operative word), Jessica Alba got all dolled up for a day with her daughter at Coldwater Canyon Park in Beverly Hills on April 6. Setting foot on the playground in a youthful circle print summer dress (check out Shumaq's Monica Dress in Black and White or Misile's simple Amsterdam Dress in Maize), Jess added gold earrings (Circadian Studio's Gold Loop D' Loops Earrings in Gold would be adorable with either dress) and a pair of gold and brown sunnies, opting for some crazy fringed gladiator sandals. They don't seem exactly sandbox appropriate, but whatever works for her! Do you like the warm weather 'fit? Jess stayed hydrated with Fiji water as she pushed a delighted Honor Marie on the swings, getting in some quality mom and daughter time before she starts filming The Killer Inside Me later this month. After the Campari photoshoot, Jess took some time off her rigorous diet and work-out routine that helped her get back into shape after giving birth last year. Now, Jess is reportedly trying to drop a few pounds for her next project by cutting out all white sugar and processed flour foods - and forcing everyone around her to make the same adjustments. “In order for her to stay thin, she needs everyone to be eating how she is. Even at restaurants, Jessica will tell her mom to stay away from something.” Forcing her own mom to forgo white food so Jess won't be tempted to stray from her diet? That's not crazy at aaallll! Do you think this story is true, or is some disgruntled former friend trying to spread rumors about Alba's secret controlling side?
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 26 2009 in New York, NY. Spending a night away from her daughter Honor Marie, Jessica Alba had a night out with husband Cash Warren at the American Museum of Natural History’s annual dance in New York City on March 26. She looks very cute and natural with her hair in a messy updo, and I adore her bright colorblock dress, especially with the sleek one shoulder neckline (try Black Halo’s Spring Jacket Dress in Persimmon or the One Sleeve Cold Shoulder Dress in Poppy/Ocean). What do you think of the frock? I also love Jessica’s skinny studded clutch (check out Antoinette Lee’s similar shaped Lua Snake Clutch in Bronze) and the dramatic chandelier earrings (try Kuo Ting’s Black Spiral Marquis Earrings in Gold) against her bare shoulders… I just wish she had bare legs to match them! The black tights look is getting a little played out, don’t you think? Kinda ruins the look for me. Jess and fam have been spotted all over NYC over the past weekend, spending time together before Jessica begins filming The Killer Inside Me in Oklahoma this month. Kate Hudson and Casey Affleck are her co-stars, but the title alone makes me cringe a little bit. Are any of you fans of Jessica’s acting?
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 22 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. Jessica Alba rocked super straight locks while shopping with her baby girl on March 22 in Beverly Hills. Love that Jess has her bangs under control again! Jess has been spotted spending a lot of her time with her family over the past few weeks, getting some bonding time in before heading off to film The Killer Inside Me next month. On their Sunday outing, ladies hit a few shops with a shopping bag toting gal pal – an assistant or nanny maybe? Jess wore old school Converse All Stars with classic 7 For All Mankind bootcuts like the Bootcut Jean in New York Vintage, adding a plain white tee and draped navy cardigan (check out Raw 7’s Embroidered Cardigan in Metal). Completing her ‘fit with gold loop earrings (like Calico Juno’s Nouveau 01 in Gold) and dark aviators, Jess carried a glossy tan tote (I love the similar shade of Carla Mancini’s Braided Handle with Front Tab in Tan Crocodile) with Honor on her hip, of course. Aren’t the little crocheted booties Honor is wearing adorable? Speaking of babies, it looks like Nicole Richie might not be the only celeb looking to expand their family. It seems like baby fever has hit Hollywood once again, and someone “close to the Warrens” told the National Enquirer Jessica is also eager to be avec child again: "Jessica and Cash are working overtime to get pregnant. She and Cash are boasting that they love being parents and are determined to expand their family as soon as possible." Sounds like a tough job!
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 18 2009 in Hollywood, CA. Enjoying a night away from her baby girl, Jessica Alba was all smiles with her husband Cash Warren at the premiere of the hot new flick Sugar in Hollywood on March 18. Jessica seems to be taking fashion risks all over the place these days, but I actually like the way her blouse and skirt work together this time – I just wish the high neck look wasn’t so frumpy. Jess put her look together starting with a loose geometric print blouse (try Prairie New York’s Tie Turtleneck Top in Purple Feather) with a double wrap skinny belt (like Jack Rabbit’s slender Bullet Belt in Black) and a straight black mini skirt (Black Halo’s Button Down Pocket Skirt in Black would look great with the above top tucked in). She sure loves her tights, so naturally Jess wore a pair of sheer black stockings with black pumps, accenting her ‘fit with a glossy black clutch (like Julie K’s Sasha Clutch in Black Glaze) and some mod dangle earrings with big silver circles on the ends (try Calico Juno’s Victorian 01 Earrings in Dark Amethyst). Once again her bangs are getting a little long, so I’m not crazy about them brushed to the side, but I like the 80’s-meets-mod vibe going on here. Do you think it works for her? Though she and Cash have been married almost a year now, Jess recently reflected on some low moments of their past, thanks to the paparazzi. Apparently, the person who officiated she and Cash’s hush-hush nuptials leaked the news to the press before Jess had time to break the news to mom and dad, prompting Jess to speak her mind: "We were planning to take them out to dinner and tell them, but that got ruined… [I was] more hurt, probably, than anything. It’s not the first time something like that has happened. Journalists feel entitled to do whatever it takes to get a sensational story, no matter how it affects the person involved. We’re not really people, right? We’re just celebrities.” Am I sensing a little bitterness there, Ms. Alba? I agree with Jess that the tabloids are way too invasive in celeb’s personal lives, but it sort of goes with the territory. I mean, Jess had a secret wedding while she was 7 months pregnant – did she really think she could keep it a secret forever? I’m pretty sure even if she wasn’t famous it wouldn’t have taken long for the cat to jump out of that bag! Do you think the constant media presence is unfair to celebs these days?
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 12 2009 in Paris, France. Continuing to enjoy her time abroad, Jessica Alba checked out Miu Miu at Paris Fashion Week on March 12 in a very daring ‘fit. I get that she was going for the avant-garde look, but what IS that thing around her shoulders? Capelets might be hot right now but that doesn’t excuse this mess! When I first saw it, it reminded me of the Project Runway episode when Chris March got eliminated, pretty much for using real human hair as fur trim. Does anyone else remember? Some of you might not like it just because it’s fur, but for me it’s the color and texture that doesn’t work. It’s a kinda creepy! Besides the hairy misstep, Jessica enjoyed the show in a murky satin sheath dress (try Prairie New York’s elegant Pleated Satin Shift Dress in Black, and add Autumn Cashmere’s chic Flutter Sleeve Bolero with Crystal Button in Black if you feel chilly), once again wearing tights paired with some interesting pumps. Love the red accents on the strap but it looks like they’re too big for her feet, don’t you think? Not liking the hair either – Jess slicked her tresses back with a skinny triple headband and gathered it in a messy bun, emphasizing her uneven (ahem, receding?) hairline. Not exactly her most flattering look! The one thing I do like is the clutch – the studded look is perfect for going out (if you’re a fan check out CC Skye’s Bolt Clutch in Black, or add a little pop of color for spring with Linea Pelle’s Danielle Clutch in Fuchsia). What’s your verdict on Jessica’s Miu Miu look? Other celebrity fans at the Fall 2009 RTW show included Eva Mendes and Rachel Zoe, all seated in the front row, of course. Attendees took note of Jessica’s rapt attention to the last few items on the runway, especially the sheer turquoise blouse tucked into a decadent burgundy skirt near the end. Complete with matching tights, it has Alba written all over it. What do you think of the look, and the rest of the collection?
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 11 2009 in Paris, France. Jetting off for a little vacation time, Jessica Alba had a day to herself to relax in Paris on March 11. Cruising the City of Lights on wheels, Jess checked out an art exhibit at the “Jeu de Paume” museum before meeting up with a lady friend for some serious shopping along the famous boulevard Saint Germain. Besides enjoying a little break from her motherly duties, Jessica is in town for Paris Fashion Week and is expected to attend the Miu Miu show tomorrow. For her day of sightseeing, Jessica started with a slouchy black turtleneck (try PGD Style’s Jaclyn Cozy Turtleneck Top in Black for mild winter temps), dark skinnies (try Hudson’s comfortable Carly Skinny Jean in Black) and some adorable black flats with flirty bows on the toes. Adding an electric blue knit cap, big round sunnies and an ornate tan printed tote (I’m sure Jess would adore Carla Mancini’s Tote with Braided Handles in Off White Crocodile for the spring season), Jess looked très chic as she made her way around the city. What do you think of her comfy look? If you noticed the futuristic handlebars of Jessica’s bike, she’s not trying to set herself apart from the crowd – the bike is a rental from Paris’ bike-sharing service, called Velib. It’s a pretty cool program, designed to alleviate traffic on the streets and give citizens an alternative to the crowded metro system. Riders can rent bikes hourly and turn them in to the nearest rental point when they reach their destination. Jess did just that when she met up with her gal pal for a delicious lunch at Relais de l’Entrecôte, turning her wheels in before hitting the shops. You know Ms. Green loves the idea of reducing her environmental impact – if only LA would start up a similar program!
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 13 2009 in Beverly Hills, CA. Enjoying some time out with her baby girl, Jessica Alba and Honor Marie were spotted leaving a breakfast spot in Beverly Hills on February 13. Both ladies were dressed down, with Honor sporting an adorable knit cap and moccasins and Jess rocking an equally comfy look. Starting with black cropped pants (try Tag Jeans’ Stretch Twill Capri in Black), a long white tunic (like PGD Style’s Ricky Tunic Tee in White) and a loose gray sweater (similar to Smitten’s One Button Belted Sweatshirt Jacket in Heather Grey), Jess wore black slouch boots and those gold rimmed sunnies she’s been rocking lately. I don’t really care for the bug-eye shape of the frames, but I adore Jessica’s yellow diaper bag she’s been toting over the past few weeks (check out Linea Pelle’s Dylan Zip Tote in Citrine). The sunny shade is adorable for spring! If you haven’t seen her, Jess is on the cover of ELLE’s March 2009 issue, looking smokin’ hot posing with a bunch of up-and-coming designers. Among them Jason Wu, who designed Michelle Obama’s stunning white inaugural gown, is featured next to the Sin City babe. The mag features an in depth interview with Jess, where she dishes on everything from motherhood to her hectic lifestyle. When her post-preggers bod came up, Jess revealed a surprising secret about getting back in shape: “I wore a girdle. Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist—any kind of band or girdle works. She was like, “I slept in it.” I didn’t recover as fast as she did. I don’t have a sixpack—that’s just not my body at all.” A girdle, huh? The things we do to stay thin! Jess went on to say that she was also on a vigorous workout routine to lose the baby weight – so vigorous she literally shed tears over it, and hasn’t been back in a gym since the Campari shoot. You have to give Jess some credit there – she did look amazing in the Campari photos, with or without airbrushing – but come on, is being skinny so important that we make ourselves cry over it?
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 10 2009 in Hollywood, CA. Taking a big fashion chance, Jessica Alba supported her director-hubby Cash Warren’s premiere of Crips and Bloods: Made in America in Hollywood on February 10. First of all, I’m not a fan of the baggy shape and the hook on the side gathering the dress. It adds way to much volume to her body and the little girl tights and plain pumps aren’t helping either. Don’t get me wrong, I love the bright blue hue (try dresses in a similar shade like Shumaq’s better tailored Sophia Dress in Bright Blue, Smitten’s Aline Turtleneck Dress in Blueberry or Karina Grimaldi’s Zuni Silk Mini Dress in Royal Blue), but it’s a pretty shocking decision. You’d think red and blue would be the last two colors you’d wear to an event involving Crips and Bloods! Jessica is no stranger to slip ups, and she got herself into quite a mess at the “Declare Yourself” event in Washington, DC last month. After getting into a tiff with Bill O’Reilly’s producer after refusing to give a shout-out for the show, Jess tried to get things back on track by asking the reporter what he liked best about Obama. Like Jess, he wouldn’t respond, so she replied jokingly, “That’s right, be neutral. Be Sweden.”. Of course, Bill O’Reilly jumped all over the comment, insinuating she meant to say Switzerland. Bill was actually incorrect – both Sweden and Switzerland have a long history of neutrality in armed conflicts – but that didn’t stop him from calling her a pinhead on the show. To prove her smarts, Jessica defended herself on her blog and posted a link to Wikipedia proving Sweden’s neutrality: “Last week, Mr. Bill O’Reilly and some really classy sites (i.e.TMZ) insinuated I was dumb by claiming Sweden was a neutral country. I appreciate the fact that he is a news anchor and that gossip sites are inundated with intelligent reporting, but seriously people…it’s so sad to me that you think the only neutral country during WWII was Switzerland.” Who’s the pinhead now?
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 30 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Making time for an acting lesson at a private residence, Jessica Alba was spotted on her way back to her car in Los Angeles on January 30. Jess put her casual ‘fit together starting with a plain white tee, indigo skinnies (like Tag’s super comfy Skinny No Flap Jean in Rinse), and an unbuttoned denim vest (try Zoa’s funky T Back Vest in Midnight). Adding a red checked scarf (A Graves’ Unicorn Scarf in Blue would be adorable with the shiny vest above), blue Wayfarers and some cute peeptoe flats, Jess looks perfectly casual without trying too hard. Looks like her bangs need a trim, but otherwise I’m loving the fresh ‘fit. Thoughts? We all know how much Jessica loves to share her views, and recently she set off a little controversy with none other than FOX News resident Bill O’Reilly. At the Pre-Inaugural “Declare Yourself” event Jess attended in DC last month, she was approached by Bill’s producer and asked to give a shoutout for the show. Jess politely declined, saying, “No. He’s kind of an a-hole. A little bit.” When asked how so, Jess replied tartly, “I don’t know how he does it, maybe he’s born that way.” O’Reilly’s producer continued to badger her for an example, and Jess replied wisely, “Ummm no, because that means I’m admitting that I actually watched FOX.” I for one am no fan of Bill O’Reilly, so I'm glad Jess spoke her mind! Of course the video of Jess mouthing off was aired on his show, with Bill saying Jessica could benefit a lot by watching “The Factor.” I wish he would've elaborated and explained exactly how his show could be helpful to her, but you can be sure there will be more to come on this tiff later!
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 18 2009 in Washington, DC. Kicking off the inauguration festivities a few days early, Jessica Alba made a special trip to Washington, DC for a “Declare Yourself” event on January 18. The gala, themed “Rebirth of Citizenship,” featured performers including John Legend and guest DJ SamRo, with a slew of celebs ranging from LiLo, Jamie Foxx and Hayden Panettiere in attendance. After Jessica’s provocative “Declare Yourself” ads showing her silenced with a muzzle, it was nice to see Jess looking radiant again as she posed for the paps with her hubby Cash Warren. Clad in a polished champagne colored dress with an intricate pleated front (for similar satin looks, try Prairie NY’s Satin Ballerina Dress in Snow or Gold Hawk’s Solid Ruffle Dress in Soft Praline) accented by a wide belt (try Pellemelle’s Square Patent Belt in Black) and flashy pendant earrings (check out Robyn Rhodes’ versatile Lani Earrings in Gold). I’m loving the glowing makeup and the sleek straightened ‘do, but I wish her bangs were just a teensy bit shorter. Completing the look with opaque black tights, black pumps and a simple black clutch (try EDE Studio’s Zipper Clutch in Black), I love that Jessica added black nail polish as a finishing touch. What do you all think of the overall look? The dress is undeniably a great color on her, but I think if the tights were sheer vs opaque the look would have been a little less childlike. Thoughts? At the event, Jess spoke to the press about the strides made during the election by “Declare Yourself” and other orgs: "I believe that every organization that was trying to get people to vote and get people to register that never had before, whether it was the youth, whether it was just new voters, people who didn't believe in the system, this campaign and all the other campaigns — they believe now. They made a difference." I have to completely agree – I think we all believe in the power of the vote a little more now that we’ve seen the great strides made in this election. I’m not sure if we should credit celebs like Jessica for motivating us to make it the polls, but her efforts and others have inspired me to make a difference over the next four years. What about you?
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 08 2009 in Los Angeles, CA. Trying out another head-to-toe look, Jessica Alba was spotted on her way to a party on Melrose in Los Angeles on January 8. Exiting her eco-friendly hybrid SUV (didn't even know Yukon's could be hybrid!) in a pair of high waist, pegged leg lavender trousers (try Denim of Virtue’s Kindness Flap Pocket Trouser in Grape and cuff the legs yourself), Jessica played up the retro vibe with a frilly tucked in white blouse (Walter’s White Poplin Button Front Top in White is a more everyday version) and classic aviators. What do you think of the pants? I think the bow belt adds a nice touch, and I’m growing fonder of the pegged trend every day, but I don’t think the lilac shade is wearable at all – would you dare to try it? I’m loving her blunt bangs and the new shorter wavy ‘do, but I’m not quite sure where she’s going with all these ‘fits lately. Does she have a penchant for costume parties, or is she just having a little fun with fashion since becoming a mom? Complementing her ensemble with beige strappy stilettos and a sassy snakeskin bag by Gerard Darel (combine with purple hue and python texture with Carla Mancini’s Python Tote with Front Tassel in Purple), I love the overall look, I’m just still undecided on the pants. Thoughts? While Jessica did not attend the Golden Globes this year, she had a good excuse for her absence – her hubby Cash Warren’s 30th birthday! Jess doted upon her man with a weekend in Vegas and a surprise bash at Tao complete with 80 friends. Cash was so surprised he actually shed tears when he saw all of his closest pals: "I would be remiss if I didn't thank my beautiful wife and best friend in the whole world, Jessica. I can't tell you how surprised and happy I was to see all of you. Those tears were real. I can't act. It doesn't run in the family. But it's tears of love for all of you." Precious!
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 29 2008 in Hollywood, CA. Sometimes even mom and dad need a night off, and Jessica Alba and her hubby Cash Warren indulged in a little post-Christmas night on the town in Hollywood on December 29, starting by sharing cocktails at Bardot before heading to Crown Bar late night. Jess looked pretty (literally) hot in her favorite silver hoops (try Michele Michel’s unique take on the classic hoop, Onyx Hoop Earrings in Silver) with a cozy black scarf, sexy cropped leather jacket (very similar to Gold Hawk’s Ribbed Motorcycle Jacket in Black), shimmery gray shirt (try something that catches the light to balance the black, like Zoa’s Twist Ruffle Front Tunic Dress in Silver Grey) and comfy black leggings. I have to comment on Jessica’s adorable bow booties - so cute! What do you think of the ankle boot trend – yay or nay? Jessica was all smiles as she exited Bardot after a night of dancing, holding hands with her hubby as she walked the mini red carpet exit. I’m loving the girly little braids, even if they are a little messy, but let’s just assume this is what they looked like after Jess spent a few hours on the dance floor! Have any of you tried out this hairstyle when you go out? It’s a good thing Jessica had a night to get away with her man, because she has a busy year ahead of her. Jess will be appearing in 3 new movies in 2009: An Invisible Sign of My Own, The Killer Inside Me, and Sin City 2. I can’t imagine all the promotional activities accompanying three projects in such a short span of time, but I am excited about Sin City coming to the big screen again. Are you interested in seeing any of the above movies? If you’d rather stay at home, catch Ms. Alba on “The Office” in early Feb, on a special Super Bowl episode. Even if you’re not a fan of Jess, there’s always Steve Carell!
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 21 2008 in Los Angeles, CA. Getting some last minute Christmas shopping done, Jessica Alba and baby Honor Marie shared a laugh with some onlookers as they pounded the pavement at the Fairfax Flea Market in Los Angeles on December 21. Repeating their family tradition, mom, dad and baby shared lunch together at the Griddle Café before browsing a few shops, including American Apparel. Jess was dressed uber comfy for her shopping spree, starting with a pair of destroyed baggy jeans with rolled cuffs (create the look yourself with Denim of Virtue’s Acceptance Boyfriend 5 Pocket in Destroyed). How do you feel about the baggy cuffed trend – have you had enough, or will we see more of this look in the spring? Layering up on top, Jessica wore a smoky gray tee matching her daughter’s sweatsuit with a black cardigan (try Qi’s Yoke Cabled Scoopneck Top in Steel with the cozy Cashmere Ruffled Cocoon Shawl in Black) and a chic black scarf. Finishing her ‘fit with glossy pewter flats, a long gold chain necklace (like Lisa K’s dainty Lace Cake Necklace in Gold/Black) and a girly knotted bun, Jess played the part of a casual LA mom effortlessly, as usual. The family outing marked the end of a very special weekend for Jessica and Cash. The happy couple held a formal wedding reception at their Beverly Hills home on Dec 19, exactly seven months after they tied the knot in May. The very private ceremony was held during the holidays to include as much family and out of town guests as possible, but the secretive nature of the event didn’t stop an attendee from spilling details of the affair to Star: "Cash and Jessica decorated with Christmas greenery, filling the rooms with a festive air. They set up tents outside for their guests to mingle, with the rolling hills behind the house serving as a gorgeous backdrop. Heat lamps kept the guests cozy. Decorations were all white. Jessica and Cash were just glowing, and Jessica was giddy the entire night, excited and happy to show off the baby and their home." Honor Marie was a “guest of honor” of sorts, and was reportedly dressed in a special frock with mini angel wings attached. Precious! I just love holiday weddings – wouldn’t you agree?
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 14 2008 in Los Angeles, CA. Braving the chilly Los Angeles winter last weekend, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren took their daughter Honor Marie to a friend’s house for a children’s party on December 14. With other celeb parents including Nicole Richie and Joel Madden in attendance with their daughter Harlow, I’m wondered why Jess doesn’t look too enthused as she made her way into the party. Maybe Honor is keeping Mom up too late at night? Jess looked oh-so-retro as she arrived at the kiddie bash in faded flare jeans (doesn’t get any better than Joe’s Jeans’ Stardust Super Flare Jean in Vanna), an oatmeal turtleneck (try Autumn Cashmere’s cozy Buttoned Elbow Sleeve Turtleneck in Hemp) and an old fashioned plaid overcoat. Completing her blast from the past look with a wavy ‘do accented by thick fringe bangs, mod white sunnies and a gold trinket necklace (Elizabeth Gillett’s charming Grace Necklace in Gold is a nice pick), the ‘fit wouldn’t be a true representation of the 70’s era without the unmistakable round toed, nail studded clogs peeping out from under her flares. That’s right, clogs. When Jessica does retro, she does it right! What do you think of the look – is Jess bringing mod into the new era, or does it look like she’s heading off to a costume party? Getting in the holiday spirit, Jessica has said countless times since she became a mom how giving birth has inspired her to give back to the world, taking on causes from global warming to politics. With her own child in mind, Jess was one of a handful of celebrities this year to design holiday artwork for Netflix’s Feeding America holiday project. You can view Jessica’s limited edition design featuring a cheery snowman on both company websites, and proceeds from gift subscriptions purchased with the designs will go to provide meals for the Feeding America program. If you’re looking for a last minute gift, as little as $4.99 will buy a loved one a subscription and will go towards a meal for a hungry child. Something to think about!
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 13 2008 in West Los Angeles, CA. Enjoying their family tradition of weekend brunches, Jessica Alba was spotted with her husband Cash Warren and a very grumpy looking Honor Marie at John O’Groats in West Los Angeles on Dec 13. Have any of you eaten at this glorified diner recently? It has quite a reputation, but I’ve been disappointed every time I’ve eaten there. Between what you pay for simple omelettes, what you get and what effect it has on your stomach, there’s nothing good I can say! Maybe that’s what little Honor is so upset about? Layering up for the chilly LA morning, Jess wore a cozy grey cardigan (try Rails’ comfy Anika Top in Grey or Qi’s Yoke Cabled Scoopneck Top in Storm) under a cropped black leather swing jacket (like Gold Hawk’s Ruffle Leather Jacket in Moonless Night), trying out a pair of loose fitting rolled cuff jeans (Desert Blue’s Boyfriend Jean in Saloon Fairmount is a great pick that you can roll yourself) with black boots. It’s too bad the bottom of her jeans are blocked by the stroller, because this might be the first time I think the trend has been executed well! Not too baggy, not too distressed – Jess got the look right and makes it effortlessly LA appropriate. Completing her look with classic hoop earrings (try Michele Michel’s Hammered Hoops in Silver), black Wayfarers and a slouchy blue cap, Jess carried the ultimate mom essential, a Prada diaper bag, as she pushed Honor’s stroller back to the car. If you haven’t seen Jessica’s highly publicized shots for the 2009 Campari Calendar, be sure to check out Jessica’s smokin’ hot bod, shapely gams and whittled waist… and then comfort yourself with the reality that the photos are 100% airbrushed. It’s impossible to deny from the on-set candids that were released and the final result that some serious Photoshopping took place, and it’s a shame to send the message to women worldwide that we need to be more perfect than we actually are. Do you think it was wrong of Campari to airbrush the photos?
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 02 2008 in Milan, Italy. As the lady of honor at the 2009 Campari Calendar launch in Milan, Italy on Dec 2, Jessica Alba took a big chance with her poinsettia red silk frock and is already getting blown up for it. The avant-garde dress by Dolce & Gabbana combines a tight, fitted bodice with a sharply angled skirt and strategically placed oversized bows on the shoulder and waist. In my opinion, this frock transcends fashion and takes on an art form all its own, but there are plenty of critics already asking what she was thinking or more pertinently, what was D&G thinking? I’ll let you be the judge – do you think the wide cut works for her, or is it too unflattering? The red platform heel selection could have been more elegant, but cascading ruby earrings with a matching bracelet by Bulgari are a perfect touch. If you’re a fan of crimson, pair some sexy heels with Miguelina’s Sandrica Dress in Red, Cleo Brands’ Off Shoulder Wrap Dress in Burgundy, or rock the holiday look with Autumn Cashmere’s Kimono V Neck Top in Madeira. If Bulgari isn’t in your budget, Kuo Ting’s Hammered Tear Drop Earrings with Rubies in Gold will work with all 3 options above. After the launch ceremony, Jess gushed about the photoshoot: “All the clothes were very cool. They’re young, sexy and fresh. I’m usually walking around in comfy clothes with a baby on my arm and it’s nice to dress things up and feel sophisticated, sexy and surrounded by so much beauty. It was all very chic, but still young and cool, my favorite combination!” The limited edition calendar will be released shortly, but only 9,999 copies will be printed, making each one apt to fetch a high price. Do any of you have Ms. Alba’s Campari calendar on your Christmas list?
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 13 2008 in New York, NY. Looking absolutely stunning in a gorgeous charcoal floor length gown, Jessica Alba attended the 5th Annual Keep a Child Alive Black Ball with her husband, Cash Warren on Nov 13 in New York, NY. While gabbing with celebs from Alicia Keys to “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi, Jess channeled decades of the past with her crimson lips and extra long, thick fringe bangs. I have to say, I totally dig the new bangin’ look – do you agree? I also love, love loooove the vintage vibe of her gown, with its ornate gem and feather encrusted appliqué, hanging gold chains, and seductive backless style bringing it into the modern era (to recreate the look, pair an elegant dress like Ingwa Melero’s Elena Charmeuse Maxi Dress in Aubergine or Gold Hawk’s Aofe Long Dress in Moonrock with a long gold necklace such as Robyn Rhodes’ Grace Necklace in Gold). Accessorizing only with her glittering wedding ring and a wide gold cuff (check out Robyn Rhodes’ Vicki Cuff in Gold), Jess looked timelessly elegant in this sophisticated ‘fit, from head to toe. Do any of you disagree? Besides spending a night out raising cash for the children’s AIDS charity, Jessica has been hard at work filming An Invisible Sign of My Own in New York and, rumor has it, planning an offical second wedding celebration with Cash. They tied the knot in May in a private ceremony (I suspect because she was 7 months avec child) and will host an official reception with their friends and family next month, just in time for the holidays. I can’t wait to see pictures of the custom made ivory and lace dress Jess has reportedly had designed by Chanel, to the tune of $47,000. That’s quite a gown!
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 08 2008 in New York, NY. Don’t mess with Jessica Alba! Shopping with her daughter Honor Marie at the local grocery store on Nov 8 in New York, Jess looked like one tough mama in her black zippered motorcycle jacket (try Gold Hawk’s Ribbed Motorcycle Jacket in Black), grey skinnies (like Denim of Virtue’s Patience 5 Pocket Tapered Jean in Grey) and buckled black flat boots (get a similar look with Matiko’s folded flap C Boot in Black). Adding a fedora and fingerless gloves to shield her from the icy cold as she pushed her purse laden baby stroller away from the shop, Jess glared down any lingering paparazzi in her path as she made her way home (for similar purse picks that can double as a baby bag, try Linea Pelle’s Dylan Zip Tote in Citrine). Jess looked like she had a hard day on the set as she perused the night’s eats, stopping to coo over her baby girl as she picked out her produce. Jessica’s gams are looking pretty good these days, and she recently talked to People about her post-pregnancy lifestyle changes that helped her slim down: "I worked out -- not for hours, but I definitely had to work out. And I ate, not a lot of sweets and not a lot of cream. I kept a pretty simple organic diet, which I do now anyway." Seems simple enough for the rest of us to follow, no? Now that An Invisible Sign of My Own is almost finished filming, Jessica has already confirmed her next project, co-starring Casey Affleck. The two will work together in an on-screen adaptation of the book The Killer Inside Me, which was previously taken to the big screen in 1976. Wonder if Jess stayed true to her refusal to work unless Honor could be with her on-set, considering she’s lined up her next project so quickly? My guess is that in these tough economic times, even actors can’t be too picky with their work – what do you think?
Jessica Alba seen on Oct 30 2008 in New York, NY. Taking a break from work, Jessica Alba made her way to Bergdorf Goodman in NYC on Oct 30 to attend an exclusive party for her Latino pal Narciso Rodriguez’s book signing. I can’t help but add Jess looked stunning with her glowing smile and glossy curled locks, complete with that body-hugging dress – very brave for a woman who gave birth less than six months ago! Clad in a demure charcoal sheath dress with an edgy zipper front (check out the similar styles of Black Halo’s Color Block Mini Jackie O Dress in Ash or Suzabelle’s Emilia Day Dress in Grey Heather), classy sheer black nylons and sophisticated square toed flats (a classy heel like Matiko’s Bailey Pump in Grey Patent would have worked better), Jess posed for the press and showed off her newly acquired bangs. Seems the bangs are back big this season, and Jess isn’t the first celeb to rock the fringed look – do you think it works for her? Besides spending a night mingling with New York’s fashion elites, Jessica has been hard at work filming An Invisible Sign of My Own, in which she plays an awkward mathematical genius who learns to love herself by teaching second graders math. Not exactly the most stimulating plotline, but the frumpy costumes Jess has been spotted filming in are pretty entertaining, from dumpy bucket hats and book bags to pencil chewing. And after a long day’s work, Jess has something extra to smile about: she agreed to do the film on the condition that her infant daughter Honor would be with her on set. Jess told People magazine: “To be honest with you, it’s tough – and if it was any other movie I wouldn’t be doing it. It’s difficult to spend any time away from her. I love my daughter and she’s going to be with me every day on the set.” Good mom, good actress – seems like a permanent “take you daughter to work day” isn’t such a bad idea for her!
Jessica Alba seen on Oct 09 2008 in Brentwood, CA. Like most new moms, Jessica Alba had her hands full on Oct 9, making her way to the pediatrician’s office in Brentwood in the morning and meeting her hubby Cash Warren and a friend for lunch later in the day. Starting with a very basic white cami (see PGD Style’s Fancy Tank in White to get the look while contributing proceeds to lung disease research), loose wide leg jeans with embellished patch pockets at the hips (try Hudson’s Deluxe Wide Leg Jean in Sky) and retro wedge heels, Jess took her ‘fit from casual to chic with her bubble Yves Saint Laurent sunnies, an envious black Tod’s handbag (check out Rough Roses’ Whitney Tote in Black to get the look without breaking the bank), and a psychedelic silk twill scarf by Thomas Wylde (try Alchemy’s equally interesting printed Dagger Medallion Scarf in Blue), adding her fav gold hoops (like Rebecca Norman’s Small Oval Hoop Earrings in Vermeil) and a chunky gold cuff (try the similar raised appearance of Jewel by Bear’s Lucky Bracelet in Gold) to give her look some sparkle. It’s amazing what a little scarf and a classy handbag can do for her! Adding a unique finishing touch, Jess had her hair pulled back in a cute braided ‘do along the lines of Lauren Conrad, giving her a youthful look without overdoing it. Jess is a frequent scarf wearer but I think she really pulls it off perfectly here, without looking frumpy or out of season (since summer is officially over now, after all). So what’s next for Ms. Alba? Besides her controversial involvement with Declare Yourself’s voting campaign, over the past few weeks she’s been spotted numerous times coming and going from her acting coach’s residence – perhaps brushing up her skills for her next project, An Invisible Sign of My Own? Despite the old saying, in Hollywood, it’s never too late to teach an old dog new tricks!
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 14 2008 in Hollywood, CA. After spending a week in New York checking out the latest fashions, Jessica Alba returned to Hollywood this weekend and had a casual Sunday brunch with her family on Sept 14 at the Griddle Café in Hollywood. Dressed in a slouchy grey cardigan tunic (like Woo’s comfy Rosie Long Grandpa Cardigan in Heather Grey) with a black cami underneath revealing her voluptuous curves, comfy bootcut jeans (try Hudson’s Signature Bootcut Jean in Pisces) and eye-catching crystal encrusted ballet flats, Jessica displayed none of the fashion finesse she should have absorbed in the Big Apple but still looked like her usual, healthy self. Jess finished her ‘fit with a cute black and brown tote (check out Rough Roses’ Whitney Tote in Grey with its black leather accents) and classic brown aviators, looking mildly discontented as she and her hubby made their exit. Jess and Cash have been very careful about keeping Honor Marie out of the spotlight, and this outing was no exception as Cash shielded the baby carrier from the paps. Jessica has made some very outlandish (not to mention strict) statements about her parenting philosophy, but this week she’s stirring up controversy on the political scene. Jessica’s new “Declare Yourself” ad was recently released, featuring Jessica crying in the nude with black electrical tape sealing her mouth. The ad is part of a campaign to motivate people to vote in the upcoming election, as Jess explained to People: “I think it is important for young people to be aware of the need we have in this country to get them more active politically. People respond to things that are shocking. If you don’t register and vote and make a difference, and hopefully change the bad things that are happening in our country, you are essentially just binding and muzzling yourself.” A powerful statement, but I have to say I couldn’t agree more!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 17 2008 in Pasadena, CA. A spectacularly dressed Jessica Alba made a stunning entrance on the red carpet of the 2008 ALMA Awards, officially unveiling her post-pregnancy body. In a sweeping pink satin dress by Narciso Rodriguez (staying true to the Latin American theme of the night), I have to say she’s absolutely glowing, wouldn’t you agree? To achieve the pink princess look, try CoutureCandy’s more affordable versions like Betsey Johnson’s Tiered Dress in Blush or Ziji’s Queen of Hearts Dress in Gold and Pink. To complement such a dynamic dress, keep the accessories simple just like Jess did, starting with shimmering teardrop earrings (like Kuo Ting’s Frosted Teardrop Earrings in Sterling Silver) and a set of silver bangles (like Amrita Singh’s 11 Piece Bangle Set in Silver). Though the wind wasn’t very kind to her up-do, Jess laughed her way through the mass of photogs and made her way onstage to present an award later in the evening. Since becoming a mommy, Jess has increased her political involvement, appearing in a YouTube vid for Obama and making bold statements about her beliefs to the press. This fall, Alba will take it one step further, appearing in PSA ads with the tagline “Only you can silence yourself,” featuring the actress crying with her mouth stitched shut. A little grotesque, but the message is clear: get out and vote, people!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 10 2008 in West Hollywood, CA. Jessica Alba had a lovely Sunday brunch at La Conversation in West Hollywood on August 10. Dining with the two loves of her life, hubby Cash Warren and baby Honor Marie, Jessica looked cute and put together in her summery white eyelet frock (similar to Woo’s Jasmine Dress in White) rocking her signature side braid and a patterned scarf around her neck. Jess completed her ‘fit with funky double strapped flipflops (try Matiko’s Katia Sandal in White), a large black satchel (check out Carla Mancini’s Front Pocket Double Handle Bag in Black), her fav gold hoops (just like Lana’s Miami Earrings in Yellow Gold) and brown spotted sunnies (try JeeVice’s Evil in Gold Striped). After spending the weekend holed up watching the Olympics, Jess took the time to gush about her fav moments on her MySpace blog, "Cash and I went crazy. The shot of Michael Phelps after the race ended cheering with his teammates is so memorable. The last time I got this excited watching sports was when Baron was in the NBA playoffs. Next year we get to watch him in Los Angeles. Go Clippers!!" Besides her Olympics fanaticism, J-Alba recently spilled to the press about her picture-perfect relationship with her hubby. She said, "What's wonderful is that I have a man right now and, God willing, we can be married forever. He wants the same things in life. He wants to adopt and have a big family and he believes in marriage forever. It can really happen if we want it to." Sounds like the honeymoon period has not worn off yet for these lovebirds! What do you think, can a producer-actress marriage survive these days in Hollywood?
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 08 2008 in Brentwood, CA. The trendiest mom on the block, Jessica Alba, was snapped out with baby Honor Marie on August 8 as she made her way to the pediatrician’s office in Brentwood, CA. Mama and baby are both in good health, especially Jessica who I must say is in great shape! Clearly motherhood suits her, as she recently gushed, "I'd like to have as many children as my body will allow - and I'd adopt if I still want more children after that." For her trip to the doc, Jess had her signature side mini-braid happening and wore a loose black and ivory mini dress (step it up with Miguelina’s Lindsi Dress in Black and White) with a plain matching leather tote (like Posse New York’s Carolina Bag in Black Pearl), standard aviators (check out JeeVice’s Crybaby II in Silver) and a classic gold chain cuff (try Jessica Elliot’s Open Clover Cuff in Vermeil). Jess rocked funky open-toed booties, which I think she pulls off perfectly. I’d never have thought sandals and boots could be fused and still be cute, but how do you feel about this trend - yay or nay? In other Alba news, the always outspoken Sin City starlet recently opened up about her feelings on gender equality in Hollywood. Among other things, Jess said, “I want my friends to produce, direct, act, write, all of it. I think being competitive defeats the whole female movement. I want to be encouraging to my girlfriends. Totally.” I smell girl power!
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 26 2008 in Beverly Hills, CA. A very voluptuous Jessica Alba was out shopping again in Beverly Hills on Saturday, July 26, picking up a few goodies at the local Toys “R” Us. The new mama is looking absolutely amazing after just giving birth a mere six weeks ago. Dressed in black trouser pants (very similar to Joe’s Jeans Button Welt Trouser in Morter), a classic white collared shirt (see 3J Workshop’s Merenda Shirt in White, for a chic embroidered version), and a silver charm necklace (almost identical to Christie Martin’s personalized Sterling Silver Triple Disc Necklace), Jess toted a chic white leather handbag (see Posse New York’s Carolina Bag in White Pearl) and kept it cool with sleek rounded shades (check out Nour’s Kiara in Manner Mania). Since her bundle of joy was born, the Good Luck Chuck starlet has made a lot of bold statements about what she will and will not allow her daughter to do, especially in regards to acting. Very strange coming from a woman who reportedly wanted to be an actress from age 5 on… and has also already made her baby girl a celeb after making the cover of OK Magazine! Jess and hubby Cash Warren reportedly want their daughter to finish college before she even thinks about pursuing a career in the industry. Jess explained her parenting philosophy: “I don't want to be my child's best friend. I want to be a mom. But I do want my child to come to me when they have problems and need to talk, so it's going to be about treading that line.” Do you think it’s a good idea to have such strict guidelines in place?
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 12 2008 in Beverly Hills, CA. Only a month after the birth of her baby girl, Jessica Alba couldn’t resist shopping in Beverly Hills on July 12. Looking lovey-dovey at lunch with hubby Cash Warren and browsing the racks with a friend, the new mom looked ultra-comfortable in a long blue maxi dress (try Ella Moss’ Joni Halter Dress with Pockets for a super casual version), classic summer sandals (like Matiko’s Karla Sandal in White), flashy teardrop pendant earrings (Kimberly Faith’s Half Moon on Chain Earrings in Gold are a unique alternative) and a shimmering Prada tote. Jessica topped off her look with chic shades and a scarf tied around her neck (like Alchemy’s Paisley Scarf in Grey). I’m not completely sold on this trend – scarves in the middle of summer? Did she feel a chill from all those icy drinks? Like everyone else, I am eagerly awaiting the first baby pictures of presumed cutie Honor Marie Warren to hit the newsstand this week, sold for a rumored $1.5 million to OK Magazine. Will Jessica and Cash follow in Brangelina’s footsteps and donate the money to charity? Guess it’s up to the Honor system.
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 01 2008 in Paris, France. Jessica Alba was seen taking a long walk through the streets of Paris on Saturday, March 1, baby bump and all. Alba was caught by photogs sporting her maternity friendly fashion while in town for Paris Fashion Week. On bottom, Alba began her look with a pair of brown boots and a pair of wide leg denim jeans (similar to Hudson Jeans' Delux Wide Leg in Abyss). On top, Jessica wore a stretchy white cotton tee (similar to Raw 7's Cross Crew Neck Tee in Ivory) underneath a long swing jacket (check out Deener's Swing Jacket in Blue Blush) to save room for the baby bump. Alba accessorized with a multi colored scarf and her signature newsboy cap (check out Rails' Newsboy Cap in Black ). Enjoying a long walk with friends in Paris, Alba made sure to keep it classy all the way; frolicking through the Invalides Esplanade park and most prestigious and broadest avenue in Paris, Champs-Elysees Avenue. Getting bigger by the day, Alba is expecting her baby with fiancé Cash Warren in late May/early June. We hope that the baby is blessed with the beauty of Jessica and Cash, because we're sure if he or she is that it will be one of the cutest Hollywood babies around.
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 19 2007 in Beverly Hills, CA. Mommy to be AKA Jessica Alba was seen shopping in Beverly Hills, California on Wednesday, December 19, looking like she's ready to brave the alps! With Christmas on its way, Alba made sure to sport her winter gear on her holiday shopping trip. Jessica started her outfit with a pair of vintage style gray leather boots, over a pair of knit pants (similar to Hudson Jeans' Skinny Leg Knit in Black. On top, Jessica sported a long black fleece jacket (check out Ecoganik's Fleece Wide Collar Coat in Black), and underneath Alba's jacket, you can spot a peak of a light gray top (like Autumn Cashmere's Thermal Bubble Tee in Gravel). Jess made sure to grab her bag to ensure she could carry all of her goods, in a recent celebrity favorite, black patent leather (similar to Antoinette Lee Designs' Besa Stitch Hobo in Black Patent). Alba completed her holiday look with a pompom scarf and herringbone bucket hat (check out Rails' Herringbone Hat in Black). For her holiday shopping, Alba was spotted shopping at designer joints Gucci and Dior on Rodeo Drive. Was this just a normal holiday hunting shopping trip, or could someone be preparing for a new baby Alba? After publicly announcing her pregnancy with long time boyfriend Cash Warren, Alba has been receiving a lot of recent press. Maybe Alba is already looking for designer nursery accessories, or some stretch pants for the ever-expanding stomach. Alba has yet to reveal the sex of the baby, but we will be sure to keep you up to date on all of the recent baby updates. After all, with the recent news of Little Miss Spears, there is bound to be plenty!
Jessica Alba seen on Nov 13 2007 in Beverly Hills, CA. Jessica Alba was seen doing some shopping in Beverly Hills on November 13, in a super classic outfit (who am I kidding, the only kinds of outfits Alba wears are super classic!). Clad in a casual black dress (like Lotta Stensson's Lace Love Dress in Black or Cake Couture's Bloom Summer Dress in Black) with brown shades (check out Nour's Kiara Sunglasses in Manner Mania) and gold necklaces (for a similar pendant style, take a look at Rachel Leigh's Hammered Circular Pendant in Gold), Jessica appeared to be in an extremely good mood on her shopping excursion. While many actors have been affected by the writer's strike, it seems that Jess is making plans not be one of the actor's out of work! Allegedly, Jessica is in talks to star in David Mamet's Speed-The-Plow, a role in which Madonna debuted in 1998. On Regis and Kelly, Alba recently said, ""I have been asked. It's perfect timing because of the strike. There might be an actor's strike in June. So if they don't resolve, I can do theatre." Would you go see Jess in her live acting debut?
Jessica Alba seen on Sep 18 2007 in New York, Ny. Jessica Alba was in New York on September 18 for the taping of MTV's TRL, and looked sultry and confident as she strutted her stuff into the studio. Wearing a funky cropped leather jacket (check out Walter's Pebbled Patent Jacket in Black) over a white cami (like Laura Dahl's Camisole in Winter White) with a gold pendant (similar to Jessica Elliot's 3 Faces Track Medal in Vermeil), Christian Louboutins and a pair of dark wide-leg jeans (like Serfontaine's Sabrina Pant in Rinse), Jessica looked trendy but not like she was trying too hard. It seems that Jess also does her share of good deeds, as she (and Good Luck Chuck co-star Dane Cook) raised over $260,000 for Variety of Eastern Tennessee, a charity benefiting children with disabilities. Fans of the actors dished out $75 for a screening of the duos new comedy and see them in person in Knoxville, Tennessee, to which all proceeds benefited the good cause. The town appreciated this so much that the Mayor Bill Haslam even named Tuesday "Jessica Alba and Dane Cook Day." There's nothing I love more than celebrities doing charity work… oh wait there is but I love this too!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 26 2007 in Venice, Ca. The smokin' Jessica Alba was spotted househunting in Venice on August 26, looking totally chic and completely effortless. Wearing a white v-neck sweater (like Woo's Bella Top in Ivory) with black skinny jeans (check out James Jeans' 5 Pocket Skinny Leg Jean in Black), a black leather bag (like Aaneta's Muddy Bag in Large) and 80's, Wayfarer-ish shades, Jess proves that even wearing the classic combo of black and white can still come off fresh and cute. Jess is fresh from picking up her Female Hottie award at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday, and used the opportunity to get back at a boy who turned her down back when Jess was a tiny tot in school. Not seemingly a mean-spirited person, Jess proved that revenge is definitely sweet. She said to the audience that she would "like to dedicate this award to a young man who has been on my mind for the last 19 years: Ross. Ross didn't love me. I was pigeon-toed, I had a sway back, I was slightly cross-eyed, buck-toothed, I sucked my thumb. Look at me now, Ross! Look at me now!" Boo-ya, Ross! Can you imagine the ridicule he is facing from his buddies right now?
Jessica Alba seen on Jun 02 2007 in Beverly Hills, Ca. Jessica Alba is obviously unbelievably sexy, and by unbelievably I mean she doesn't believe it! Spending the day shopping in Beverly Hills at Harmony Lane on June 2 (and dining at Mr. Chow the night before), Jess looked cute and basic as always in a black bubble dress (Karen Zambos' Cross Bubble Dress is super similar) with black leggings and metallic gladiator sandals. Despite the fact that it is basically a well-understood belief in Hollywood that Jess is one of the cutest around, she still has her insecurities, just like any other girl. Jessica has said how she doesn't think she's sexy, and doesn't understand why she's treated like a sex-symbol. She says that she doesn't "really pay attention to all that. It's only when people start to treat me like one that it really freaks me out. Most days, I wake up and look in the mirror and go, 'Ugh.' I don't really think I look all that great." Wake up, Alba! It's a good thing that her blonde phase was strictly movie-related (Jess went blonde for the sequel to Fantasic Four), because she would definitely be getting more attention for her looks than she already does! Jess goes on to say that "People pay attention to blondes far more than they do to brunettes. I definitely got checked out three times for every once I do with my regular hair color." Seems like Jess is one leading lady who is quite content to not be the center of every spotlight (hear that, Posh?).
Jessica Alba seen on Jan 22 2007 in Los Angeles, Ca. Is Jessica Alba a secret Scientologist? Because that surely would explain why Tom Cruise's production company, Cruise/Wagner Productions, signed the hotsy totsy Alba to star in the horror remake of the movie The Eye, a remake of the Hong Kong film Jian Gui. In the film, Jess will play Allison, who can see into the supernatural world due to an eye transplant. Talk about suspending disbelief, geez!
Jess was spotted at the Lakers vs. Warriors on January 22 with boyfriend Cash Warren (the two have been flirting with engagement rumors recently, fyi), and was apparently not too pleased with the goings-on of the game, due to this dismayed look on her face. Wearing midnight wash bootcut jeans, a black cami, gold hoops and leopard flats, Jess proves that you can still have style when attending sporting events. While some say Jess always plays it safe with her fashion choices, I think it's nice to see someone who doesn't always go over the top. Sometimes, simplicity is key.
Jessica Alba seen on Dec 31 2006 in Miami, Fl. Not a stranger to the treacherous Hollywood rumor mill, cutie Jessica Alba's relationship with boyfriend Cash Warren has been under quite the microscope lately. Two days ago, word spread on the internet that, over New Years weekend while she was in Miami, Warren proposed to Alba and she said yes, disappointing men around the world. Jess was seen all over with a dazzling ring on her engagement finger, and now is keeping quiet on whether or not she really is engaged. I'm tending to lean toward the not engaged side, though, due to how, just this weekend, they were spotted out in Los Angeles seemingly in the middle of a huge fight! Due to the fact that a few photos were snapped of Jess making a seemingly angry face that probably has nothing to do with the status of their relationship, suddenly THEY'RE OVER! and THE ENGAGEMENT (if they were even engaged in the first place) IS OFF! Don't you just love the power of publicity?
Aside from her couples drama, Jessica was spotted on New Years Eve at a launch for the Kritik Clothing line, wearing the Johnson Agnes Jumper in Rose Dance with a pair of black leggings. Lookin' good as always, Jess!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 30 2006 in Los Angeles, Ca. Jessica Alba looks cute and perfectly girly when she made a trip to workout at the gym on August 30, pairing an edgy Ed Hardy cap with a pink terrycloth workout suit. With two essentials in hand, Smartwater and her SK3, Jessica makes sure to keep it stylish at the gym, because really, just because you’re working out and getting sweaty doesn’t mean you can’t still rock your personal style! For a look like Jess’, grab our Da-Nang French Terry Pants in Bubblegum, and pair with a basic white spaghetti strap tank, like our American Vintage Double Strap Cotton Tank in Optic White. Don't forget those big aviators, like our Oliver Peoples Clorette Sunglasses in Black Frames, because if you do leave the gym looking less than perfect, you can hide behind those classic shades!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 19 2006 in Los Angeles, Ca. What's better than a superhot young starlet? A superhot young starlet with a cause! Sporting a tank top promoting self-awareness website BeMoreYourself.com, you just know this site will receive about a billion more hits now because Jess is promoting it! To snag Jess' sassy look, pair a light pink tank, like our Three Dots Supima Tank in Blush with a semi-dirty dark wash of jeans, like our Joe's Jeans Chelsea Ultra Slim Fit in Vincent. Finish your look off with an oversized pair of aviators, like our brand new and ultra hot Tom Ford Ryan Sunglasses with Semimatte Black Frames, and now all you need is a message on that tank and you'll be set!
Jessica Alba seen on Aug 02 2006 in Queens, NY. Why so sad, Jessica Alba? Your career is reaching all-time highs, and you are one of the hottest women in the world! There is definitely no need to walk around New York with your arms crossed and with such a sad look on your face. And although it has apparently been warmer in New York than in Los Angeles this week, Jess still found the weather scarf-appropriate. To snag the rest of Jessica's killer look, start with the sweater version of the unique Raw 7 hoodie she wears, the Phoenix Crewneck Cashmere Sweater. Layer with a long, charcoal gray tank, similar to our Saint Grace Vintage Jersey V-Neck Tank in Storm and pair with a light wash denim, like our Kasil Jeans Devoted Jean in Baltic Destructed. And although this casual yet stylish look works perfect for Jessica, it's safe to say that the beach bikini look is also one of her biggest hits!
Jessica Alba seen on Jul 07 2006 in Los Angeles, CA. Jessica Alba always knows how to pull together an outfit to show off her easygoing, chic style. A simple outfit of capris, like our Tag Easy Rider Capris in Havana, a button-down cardigan, a cute white tank, like our Pegah Anvarian Twist Front Top in White, and retro-inspired square black shades, similar to our Nour Baba Sunglasses in Oro Bianco all come together effortlessly for Jess. One of the things that is most attractive about Jessica, in my opinion, is that she seems to down to earth. Every girl thinks she's gorgeous, and every guy wants to date her. Not a bad image to have!
Jessica Alba seen on Jun 27 2006 in Los Angeles, Ca. Jessica Alba sparkles like the star she is at a recent event promoting LG phones in Los Angeles. Everything about her outfit is dazzling, from her metallic bag, similar to our Dutchy Handbags Peety Tote in Aloe Pearl to her long necklace, and especially, her Swarovski covered LG phone! Jess' black and white color palette really enhances her olive skin tone, and obviously not willing to be caught dead on the red carpet in any other kind of jeans besides skinny leg jeans right now, Jessica pairs her J Brand 12 Inch Pencil Leg Jeans in Black with a long white tank, like our Nation Ltd A-Line Spaghetti Racerback in Eggshell under a sheer black tank. This is one look that will surely turn heads for Ms. Alba!
Jessica Alba seen on Jun 24 2006 in Malibu, Ca. Always the stylish beachgoer, Jessica Alba flaunted her fabulous figure in Malibu recently, making her the envy of all other beachgoers. With the summer's hottest pair of cut-off shorts, also seen on Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera, Jess pairs her Siwy Denim Billy Slouchy Cut-Off Shorts in Wonder with a tan tube top, embroidered hat and funky stone necklace, similar to our Castaway Jewelry Pearl, Starfish Charm & Mesh Leaf Necklace. While it's quite possible that Jessica thinks she is going incognito with the big hat, the paps knew exactly where to find her. But good thing they did, it would be a shame to wear this cute of an outfit and not be photographed in it!
Jessica Alba seen on Mar 08 2006 in New York, NY. Jessica Alba shows off this season's hottest bag, the Dior gaucho, as it perfectly completes her outfit.
Jessica Alba seen on Feb 20 2006 in Target in West Hollywood, CA. Jessica Alba and a friend went to Target in West Hollywood, where she bought some goodies in the housewares department. The Fantastic Four star’s T-shirt said “Cash,” which must have been a tribute to her boyfriend, Cash Warren-–because she couldn’t have spent much at bargain-friendly Target! Jessica’s muscle-bound pal loaded everything into her cart while she munched away on an apple.
