JESS' TIMEOUT ON TANNING

"90210" star Jessica Lowndes was photographed posing on the carpet of Hollywood Life's 6th Annual 2009 Hollywood Style Awards, held at the Armand Hammer Museum last night, October 11. For her stylish look, Jessica started with a pair of sparkling black leggings (try Siwy's Hannah in Pixie for a similar sequined look, or for a classic, tuxedo-inspired pair of leggings, try Tt Collection's Rachel Legging in Black) that she paired with a slightly oversized structured black blazer (like Signorelli's Logo Blazer in Black) and a burnout tee (check out Love Couture's Yellow Crown Burnout Tunic in White). She finished off her look with a dramatically smokey eye and glossy nude lip, a gunmetal grey manicure, patent leather stilettos, drop earrings (try Allison Daniel Designs' Five Daisy Dangle Earring in Jet), and a patent clutch (check out Zambos and Siega's Peggy Clutch in Black Patent). What are your thoughts on JL's look, everyone? Do you think she pulls off the semi-masculine pantsuit look? I mean, she didn't go as drastic as Diane Kruger back when she was promoting her film Inglorious Basterds, but I think this is a cute look for Jess. While you would think that since Jess' show "90210" takes place in sunny Southern California, that the CW would want their starlets to be bronzed and ready to hit the beach. Not so, however, for Ms. Lowndes. Sources say: "Jessica's co-star AnnaLynne McCord was telling a few people that producers have been giving everyone hell for their obsession with sun-kissed skin, and they've even banned Jessica from any tanning of any kind, whether it's from natural sunlight, tanning salon beds or a spray-on tan. AnnaLynne was just glad she wasn't targeted." So how does Jessica feel about her tan ban? "Jessica was not pleased and complained to AnnaLynne about it. She doesn't want her skin to turn a pasty white while AnnaLynne stays beautifully bronzed!" The horror!
