Jetting off in style, Jessica Simpson caught a flight out of Los Angeles International Airport with BFF Ken Paves and Papa Joe on August 31. I have to wonder – why is it JS's hair always looks so unkempt when she's with the infamous stylist to the stars? It seems to me as a tress expert he'd be horrified to have to stare at those greasy roots and lackluster locks through a multi-hour flight! Perfecting airport chic, Jess started with a simple white tunic and black leggings (try Qi Cashmere's soft, versatile Jersey Cami Slip in White with Splendid's luxurious, affordable Long Leggings in Black) ignoring the heat and layering up with an inky blue satin trench (try Suzabelle's cropped version, the Mont Royal Jacket in Midnight Blue). In typical JS style, she didn't neglect her accessories, opting for a few colored bangles (try Accessories & Beyond's playful set of15 Leather Bracelets in Tomato), classic aviators and a simple silver hoop and necklace combo. Love the statement heels taking the focus off of the otherwise plain Jane 'fit (check out Matiko's Ashley 2 Wedge in Nude with a similar strappy style). While Jess has been traveling in China, Thailand and Japan over the past month filming her new show "The Price of Beauty," that doesn't mean she's not missing her fam. After experiencing the 6.6 earthquake in Japan earlier this month, the reality star Tweeted little sis Ashley: "I could never imagine getting thru the day without the love we share. I feel so far away!! Just wanna have pillow talk." While she was far away at the time, Jess made it back to LA to spend a few days with her parents before heading off on her escapade with Ken and Pops. Wonder where they were headed – on business for the Jessica Simpson Collection, maybe? Against all economic odds, the collection is thriving, appearing in the highly coveted Macy's Herald Square flagship store this month. Jess gushed to People: “It’s a total thrill for me, I feel privileged just to be in business with such an iconic store. And it is an honor to know that Macy’s respects and believes in my brand so much that they chose to feature the Fall collection in the windows at one of their flagship stores!
