JEN'S FILM PARALLELS

Jennifer Aniston was spotted playfully posing on the red carpet of the 2009 Women in Film Awards, which took place on Friday night, June 12, in Hollywood. Jen was being honored with the Crystal Award for Excellence in Film, and while I love Jen, don't get me wrong, couldn't they have found a more "serious" actress to honor with this award? Just saying! The evening's host, Chelsea Handler, joked around with Aniston, saying, "You have expanded the visibility of women in entertainment, and we thank you for that. You’ve also recently stopped the visibility of John Mayer, so we thank you for that." Oh Chelsea, always the comedienne! For her awards show look, Jen broke away from her tendency to play it safe, and instead rocked a metallic silver mini dress (try one of Shumaq's similar options, the Marrisa Dress in Silver or the Isabelle Dress in Silver) with strappy nude patent leather heels and a singular statement cocktail ring (try Michele Michel Jewelry's Adjustable Hammered Dome Ring in Silver). Jen kept her locks wavy and her tan glowing for the event, and of course I have to ask - what do you think of JA's look at the ceremony? Do you like this look for her? While accepting her award, I'm sure you've heard that in her speech, Jennifer discussed the parallels between the film roles she chooses and what is happening in her real life. She said, "I have a strange parallel with movies I was doing and my life off screen. First, it was 'The Good Girl'... which evolved into 'Rumor Has It,' followed by 'Derailed.' Then there was 'The Breakup.' Followed by the lighter side, 'Friends With Money.' If anyone has a movie called 'Everlasting Love with an Adult Stable Man' that would be great! I’m at table six, and my agents are at table 12." I can totally see what she means!
