Isabel Lucas

Isabel Lucas (born 29 January 1985) is an Australian actress perhaps best known for her role as Tasha Andrews on the Australian television soap opera Home and Away (2003–2006). Lucas moved to Los Angeles in early 2008 and has since been featured in film and television projects including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, The Pacific and Daybreakers. Lucas has been cast as Gwen in the Steven Spielberg World War II miniseries, The Pacific. She appeared in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as Alice. Reports suggested that although assigned to the William Morris Talent Agency in Los Angeles through the auspices of Meissner Management, Lucas obtained the role of Alice in her native Australia before moving permanently to America. It has been claimed that Lucas was handpicked by Steven Spielberg. Michael Bay, director and producer of Transformers, has denied that Spielberg influenced the decision to cast her. Her next theatrical releases were Daybreakers (January 8, 2010) and Red Dawn. In 2010 Lucas appeared in an advertisement for Daylesford tourism.

Isabel Lucas seen on Nov 06 2011 in Los Angeles, CA. Isabel Lucas was photographed on the red carpet at the premiere of her new film Immortals, which was held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on November 6. Wearing a Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2009 silk maxi dress with nude Stuart Weitzman shoes and a cocktail ring on her right hand, there's no question that Isabel was working her platinum tresses and tanned skin on the red carpet. However, I have one HUGE problem with this look - the creases in her dress! They are totally killing me. While on one hand, I know that it's hard to prevent creasing in this material (especially when seated in a car en route to a premiere!), her stylist still should have paid more attention to this for the final look. What do you think, readers? If you're looking to emulate IL's ensemble for an upcoming soiree, try Meghan Los Angeles' demure Nadine Dress in Ivory, or for something with a similar silhouette and material but in a vibrant pattern, try Hale Bob's Maxi Dress in Taupe. From there, accessorize with Plenty by Tracy Reese's Zoe Laced Sandal in Bone and Femme Metale Jewelry's Crowned Gem Ring in Silver. Isabel recently spoke out about her role as Athena, the Goddess of War, in the blockbuster film, and said: "One of the things that's special about the film is it's a Greek mythology epic, with an original concept, and it bleeds into many genres. It's a love story, and the mythology and fantasy with the Gods, and there's definitely action and war, and it's, visually, just Tarsem in a nutshell, and his vision. It's just beautiful and original, and I think it's very breathtaking." Are any of you interested in checking out the film?

Isabel Lucas seen on Oct 12 2010 in New York, NY. Isabel Lucas made an appearance at the launch of MNG by Mango for JCPenney at NYC's Capitale on October 12, and seemed to be in the mood for "geek chic" as she rocked a pair of oversized frames with clear lenses for her red carpet appearance. For the rest of her ensemble, Isabel paired a long sleeved white dress with lace detailing along with black tights and some sort of black shoe that we can't really see due to the black carpet. If you're searching for a dress similar to Isabel's, take a look at some similar options here on CouturCandy, such as Sky's Symphony Long Sleeve Mini in White, Luc by Lucy's 3D Wave Wynona Dress in Purple, or Soul Revival's Brendon with Pyramid Detail in Slate. The finishing touches to IL's outfit was a leather shoulder bag (check out Antoinette Lee Designs' Olivia Cross Body Handbag in Cognac), tousled locks and of course a pouty expression. What are your thoughts about Isabel's ensemble, readers - are you into it? I like the dress - I think it's pretty - but I'm not sure about those dark tights with such a light-hearted frock. Also, I'm on the fence about the geek chic shades. On this week's episode of "Fashion Police" on E!, Joan Rivers and crew decided that this trend should stick around for a while. Thoughts, readers?
