Never one to disappoint on stage, Beyoncé Knowles gave a fantastic performance that brought the house down at the 2008 World Music Awards held in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Nov 9. Kicking off the awards show with her latest release, “Single Ladies,” B rocked the stage in a unique ‘fit topped off by a Michael Jackson-eqsue one glove finishing touch. To get her sexy look, B started with her fav body hugging leggings (try Denim of Virtue’s more wearable Patience Straight Leg in Lurex Gold), fierce gold heels, a loose fitting white blouse (like Zoa’s Ruffle Front Long Cotton Shirt in White) and a cleavage boosting black vest with Oriental gold cording detail (try the similar fit of Gold Hawk’s Men’s Vest in Solid Black). Though the blouse is so revealing it’s a little frightening, I must say I love that B took a chance here and channeled her new persona Sasha Fierce – what do you think, does the look work for her? From the European VMA’s to her gig in Monaco and back to London, B has been quite the Euro traveler over the past week, and I have to wonder if she’s getting into character for what she hopes will be her next highflying project. Last week, Beyoncé revealed she’s eager to play a superhero in her next feature flick, and she’s already in talks with studio execs to make the dream come true. B told the press, “I want to do that type of movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman? It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice. A black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It's time for that, right?” Personally, I don’t know who would be better to play a foxy femme fatale than B – can you picture her in the notorious red, white and blue leotard?
