ALBA'S LBD LOVELY

Looking very chic at the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Event, Jessica Alba arrived at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on October 30 radiating subtle glamour in her Prada Resort 2010 dress. At the very least this look proves LBD's can be anything but boring with the right accessories! I couldn't find photos to show you the back of the dress, but it has a beautiful draped sheer treatment to complement the plunging v neckline (very similar to the back of Karen Zambos' Selma Dress in Black, but if you're looking for a showstopping LBD Generra's Deep V Dress in Black is a great option). Jess swept her hair up in a classy 'do to show off the dress, with glowing natural makeup and no jewelry. She carried a slender black clutch (I love the refined simplicity of Zambos and Siega's Morgan Clutch in Black), fringed wrap (Elizabeth Gillett's Brushed Metallic Scarf in Black is perfect for the holidays) and accented the look with black platforms with a bow embellishment. This look might be too plain for some but I think she executes it perfectly. I'm so glad she didn't cover up with ugly black tights for this event, which would have absolutely killed the chic style. I have to comment on her toned arms and legs as well – she has really slimmed down over the past few months! Jess has been busy filming Little Fockers lately, but she doesn't let long hours on the set get in the way of her parenting. Co-star Teri Polo talks to E! Online about moms on the set, including Jess: "Her little baby Honor has come to set and run around, and my baby girl who's almost two comes to set and runs around…Lots of gals, which is nice." Very cute that J is able to bring Honor to on set play dates!

The adorable (and much loved here at CoutureCandy) Rachel Bilson was spotted running a few errands in Burbank yesterday, November 5, including stopping at her local Staples and Michael's Arts & Crafts store. I wonder if she's working on a craft project? Rachel was definitely dressed for LA's semi-chilly fall weather, starting with a pair of shearling boots that appear to be vintage, paired with Hudson Jeans' Emily Super Skinny Jean in Trigger (get Rach's exact pair here on CC!) and a black and gold studded leather bag (check out Novella Royale's Clover Studded Bag in Grey). Up top, Rachel chose an oatmeal colored cardigan (try Splendid's 1x1 Long Cardi in Oatmeal) under a black jacket (I'm digging Habitual Jeans' Dietrich Jacket in Tux). She completed her look with a pair of Ray-Ban sunnies and her BlackBerry firmly in hand. What are your thought of RB's look, readers... is this something you would rock for a day of errands? The beautiful Cameron Diaz posed for photographers at the NYC premiere of her new film "The Box" last night, November 4, opting for a refined, ladylike look on the red carpet. Wearing a RM by Roland Mouret fitted frock (for similarly sophisticated options, try Tt Collection's Audry Dress in Black, Karen Zambos' Katia Dress in Black or Rebecca Taylor's Cocktail Dress in Midnight) with sheer black tights, a gold multi-layered necklace (check out Amrita Singh's Matla Necklace in Gold), and a somewhat disheveled updo. What are your thoughts on Cammy D's look here, overall? This overall look is a bit muted for Cam - who can forget her terrific hot pink Chanel moment at the 2009 Golden Globe Awards? - I think she still does this more somber look justice. For those of you who are interested in checking out Cam's newest flick, you may want to peruse E! Online's review first; the headline is "The Box is Hilarious - But Doesn't Mean to Be." The reviewer gives the film a D grade and says, "This preposterous Cameron Diaz thriller offers a promising premise: a mysterious box bestows riches in exchange for killing a stranger. But then it dumps in existentialism, government conspiracies, aliens, nosebleeds, deformities—and dresses it all in ugly '70s polyester fashions and geo-print wallpaper. Blecch. Hayden Panettiere shows off her toned tush in head-to-toe Jimmy Choo for H&M at the launch party for the new line in West Hollywood on November 2. HP rocked leather leggings (try Rock & Republic's Melissa Leggings in Black) with a sequined zipper front jacket (go for the glitzy look with 7 For All Mankind's Sequin Blazer in Ash), a zebra clutch (I love the pattern on Moyna Handbag's Beaded Clutch in Black/White) and sparkly peep-toes, all from the same new collection designed by Tamara Mellon, Jimmy Choo founder. HP accented the look with small silver earrings (like Michele Michel's Droplets Earring in Silver). Hayden has a lot going on with all the textures and sparkles – do you think she pulls it off? I'm not entirely convinced, but her hair and makeup look amazing! At the event she gushed about how much she loves the new line, “Tamara is so brilliant and such a wonderful designer. Her shoes are incredible. I do my shopping sprees at H&M. I was recently in Italy and instead of going to other stores, I went to H&M.” That's some serious brand loyalty!

Making an appearance at the 2009 Library Lions Benefit at the New York Public Library’s Schwartzman Building in NYC earlier this evening, November 2, "Gossip Girl" star Leighton Meester looked sweet and sultry in a stunning Prabal Gurung dress with an oversized rosette. For a more casual version of Leighton's red carpet look, try Nu by Marc Anthony's Belt Dress in Blue Fox with a normal sized (or tiny, when you compare it to LM's dress) rosette, Gold Hawk's Sleevess Flower Eyelet Dress in Horizon or their CB Sheer Overlay Dress in Tempest Blue. Accessory wise, LM slipped into a pair Roger Vivier heels along with dazzling Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry, and finished off her look with a black belt (similr to Motif 56's Elise Croc Belt in Black) over the PG dress. Do you like Leighton's look here? Weigh in - smoldering or sub-par? With Halloween being just days ago, celebs definitely got into the spirit with their elaborate costumes and lavish parties. On that note, Leighton is speaking out about one of her favorite Halloween memories: her self-made hula girl costume! She says, "I remember being a little kid and my dad making my Halloween costume - I was a hula dancer from Hawaii. My dad made a real lei with real flowers and a grass skirt with real grass. It turned out to be really cold that night, and we were in Florida, which is the weirdest thing. So I ended up having to wear a sweatshirt and sweatpants over it. And everyone was like, 'Who are you?' and [I sighed and said,] 'A hula girl,' and I was so embarrassed. But now that I look back, it must have been kind of cute." Adorable!

Sienna Miller was photographed earlier today, November 2, taking her dog for a walk in NYC, keeping warm in a shaggy, what looks to be faux fur jacket. Along with her attention-grabbing coat, SM chose a pair of super skinny black denim (like Kasil Jeans' Benetar Jean in Noir) with an ivory knit sweater (I love the sexy sheer detailing of Catherine Malandrino's Pointelle Sweater in Ivory) and a rust colored studded-and-buckled bag (check out Botkier's Sasha Medium Duffle in Orange - which is now 50% off!). She completed her look with a bordeaux manicure, her BlackBerry, and a pair of black booties (try Gwyneth Shoes' tough Alba Ankle Boot in Black). While Sienna does seem to be a little listless here, what do you think readers - is her huge furry coat tres chic, or tres Woolly Mammoth? It's no secret that Sienna is known in the press as a serial man-izer, so it comes as no surprise that S and her most recent sweetie, George Barker, have gone their separate ways. Says a source, "We had all hoped Sienna and George would be a long-term relationship. They always looked so happy together. But they realized it wasn’t going to last the distance with Sienna being out in New York with the play for the foreseeable future, so they agreed to part ways. While Lindsay Lohan still looks pretty out of it (and I'm not even going to get into her seriously overly inflated pout), she looked 100 times better than she did when spotted at the grand opening of Quo Nightclub in NYC recently when she made an appearance on Halloween, October 31, at the grand opening night of the Kerzner Mazagan Beach Resort in El Jadida, Morocco. First Mischa in the sighting below, now Lindsay - are Hollywood's most notorious messes slowly but surely pulling themselves together? For her Moroccan appearance, LiLo chose an asymmetrical, flowy patterned dress (for similar dress options, take your pick between Young Fabulous & Broke's Natalie Dress in Green, Meghan Fabulous' Nelly Dress in Pearl, and Soul Revival's Desiree Dress in White) with peeptoe brown suede ankle booties, a few simple bangles and a sparkly beaded clutch (try Moyna Handbags' Exquisite Beaded Clutch in Ivory/Silver). What are your thoughts everyone - do you think Linds is an improvement here? While Lindsay arrived in Morocco just recently, she has already had the scare of her life. Ever since her CW show "The Beautiful Life" got canned, Mischa Barton has been keeping a relatively low profile, choosing to attend only a select few fashion-related events. However, the brunette star was photographed taking her two pooches for a walk while searching for last-minute Halloween costumes in NYC on October 30. I have to say, I think that Mischa's looking pretty good in these set of pictures - she seems to be at a healthy weight and she looks really pretty and fresh-faced. Do you agree, readers? For her NYC outfit, Mischa started with a black leather jacket (take your pick between Mike & Chris' Rohan Leather Jacket in Black and Genetic Denim's The Fonda Motorcycle Jacket in Black Mirror) over a black and white polka dot frock (try Susana Monaco's String Dress in Mod Dot) and paired with a plaid scarf with studded accents. She completed her look with a Chanel bag, a pair of strategically ripped tights, and studded ballet flats (similar to Gwyneth Shoes' Mallory Flat in Black). While I can't say if Mischa has found another job since "TBL" got the axe, however, Mischa spoke out about the show's demise at the recent Garrard Collection Launch event. "The Hills" star Stephanie Pratt was spotted exploring alternate means of transportation while out and about in Santa Monica on October 28, going for a ride on a hunter green beach cruiser while the paparazzi snapped away. Whether this was a publicity stunt due to her recent DUI arrest after sister-in-law Holly Montag's recent birthday party or a legitimate form of exercise, at least Steph is getting out there and being active! For her day of cycling, SP started with a cherry red coat (opt for a longer version with Amberlynn's Polly Trench Coat in Cherry, which is completely perfect for fall) over a graphic tee (try Rebel Yell's MVP Flutter Tee in White), and paired with a multicolored scarf (Steph's looks like Missoni - so for a more wallet-friendly option, check out Elizabeth Gillett Ltd's beautiful Brushed Metallic Scarf in Grey) and a pair of super duper skinny blue jeans (like Earnest Swen's Harlan Jean in Wilt). To finish her outfit, Pratt slipped into a pair of leather sneakers and chose a single ring on her left hand. One thing missing? Looking radiant on the green carpet, Olivia Wilde attended the 20th Anniversary of the Environmental Media Awards at Paramount Studios in LA on October 25. Although I'm not sure how "green" stretch lace is, Olivia looks stunning in Stella McCartney lace cut-out dress (get the lacy look with Tracy Reese's Lace Shell Top in Black or Single Dress' Lace Bust Pencil Dress in Black), but Stella is known for using eco-chic fabrics so who knows about this one! OW accessorized with a shiny clutch (I'd pair Moyna Handbag's Snap Closure Beaded Clutch in Metal Pewter) and grey and black square toe pumps. I like that Olivia didn't go for a boring black shoe, but the grey throws me off a little (I would have picked Elaine Turner's Valerie Patent Peep Toe in Black). What do you think of the look? I'm happy she wore her hair up to show off the back of the dress, but once again it reveals an exposed zipper, like Olivia's Marchesa gown she wore to the Emmy's in September. I love both dresses, but there were definitely some critics of the ice-skating reminiscent closure. I personally think the zipper's gonna show either way, so you might as well make it exposed – what do you readers think? While O talked about the event about how she's making a difference helping to conserve paper and energy on her Hollywood set, Maxim editor-in-chief Joe Levy weighed in on what makes Olivia the perfect woman for the title of "Hottest Woman Alive": “Olivia Wilde has been the sexiest woman on television since she heated up ‘The OC’ five years ago. She’s smart, she’s beautiful, and she has dual citizenship in the U.S. and Ireland — what more can a man ask for?” Dual citizenship… because that's really what turns a guy on these days!
