GEARING UP FOR THE VS FASHION SHOW

The adorable Miranda Kerr was photographed exiting her chauffeured car in NYC on November 18, after a busy day where she met up with her fellow Victoria's Secret models for a photo shoot in Time's Square earlier that afternoon. I'm sure this had something to do with the upcoming (and always heavily anticipated) Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, which airs on CBS on December 1. For her model-off-duty look, Miranda opted for a casual yet stylish look. She started with an oversized heather grey tee (like Splendid's Very Light V-Neck Tee in Heather Grey) tucked into a feminine mini skirt (check out Tt Collection's Sabrina Skirt in Cream), which she topped with a slouchy black coat (may I suggest Alice + Olivia's Billy Boy Blazer in Black. Accessory wise, MK stayed cozy and warm with an artistically patterned scarf (I love the simplicity of Clu's Color Block Scarf in Grey), along with a silver watch on her left wrist and a pair of black leather booties (try Gwyneth Shoes' Langston Ankle Boot in Black). Overall readers, do you like Miranda's look here? Is this something you would wear around town for errands on a chilly fall day? The thing I like about Miranda is that she seems so genuinely relatable, yet at that same time has that certain "x factor" that sets her apart. I wonder how her relationship with Orlanda Bloom is doing, considering that they barely ever get to see each other due to their brutal travel schedules?

Heroes hottie Hayden Panettiere shows off a bangin' new cut while walking the green carpet as the host of the Whaleman Foundation benefit, held at Beso in West Hollywood on November 15. Hayden has been a long time supported of saving the whales, pointing enthusiastically to the "Save the Whales Again!" press wall. HP arrived in a taupe off shoulder mini (try Shumaq's Emily Strapless Wool Dress in Beige) with a shiny black clutch (similar to GoldenBleu's Amanda Clutch in Black/White) and strappy tan heels (love Andrea & Joen's Sierra in Camel). Hayden accessorized with two gold cuffs (shine with CC Skye's Bardot Cuff in Gold), one which was auctioned off for the Whaleman Foundation later that evening! What do you think of Hayden's look? The bangs definitely make her look even younger than she already looks, but I like the balance of texture and color in her 'fit. Just wish the dress was a liiiittle bit longer! While playing hostess at the benefit, HP schmoozed with other animal loving stars including Kevin Connolly, Darryl Hannah, and Sean Paul. Cue another story about Hayden hooking up with her Entourage pal right… now. The last time rumors surfaced about HP and Kevin, she laughed it off: "I've known Kevin for so long… You can't have friends with the opposite sex. It's so funny. We're just friends." It is just me or did she say something similar about dating former co-star Milo Ventimiglia?

I know that you readers are split between loving and loathing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen eccentric and often risky sense of style, but there's no denying that the twins make people take notice wherever they go. Appearing at The Museum Of Modern Art’s film benefit 'A Tribute To Tim Burton' on November 17 in NYC, the girls piled on the layers for their unique looks. Let's begin with Ashley: she started with a pair of yellow satin Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps that I adore, in addition to a voluminous patterned maxi dress (try Pink Polka Dot's Blue Feathers Dress in Turquoise for a similar full-length frock) under a black trench coat (similar to Suzabelle's Nicolet Trench Coat in Black). One thing I have to point out to get your feedback on are the pale blue and purple streaks in Ash's wavy blonde locks. What is going on there? Are you a fan of these subtle highlights? I haven't fully made up my mind yet. Mary-Kate, on the other hand, started with an attention-grabbing dark maroon/purple pucker, along with a leopard coat and a long black dress (for a cuter option, try Moschino Cheap & Chic's Silk Leopard Tie Dress). She completed her look with a pair of burgundy velvet heels. One thing that the Olsen girls always bring with them are a selection of killer rings, and the MOMA event was no exception. Posing in a sassy backless mini, Kristen Bell gives new meaning to the "What's white, black and red all over?" joke at the Assassin's Creed II launch in West Hollywood on November 11. KB was happy to show off her tush on the red carpet in this flirty little Tibi mini with a high neck and puff shoulders (opt for a black and white print like Trina Turk's Tula Dress in Zebra, Qi Cashmere's Printed Scoop Neck Dress in Navy/Grey or Voom by Joy Han's Twiggy Puff Sleeve Dress in Black) paired with classy Christian Louboutins (make it sassy with Samanta's Viv Pump Wide in Black Patent. It looks effortlessly chic with her hair pulled up, with the super rich crimson lipstick is a little over the top for me – do you think a more muted shade would have been more complimentary or does the shade add dramatic flair? Speaking of drama, Kristen just started filming Burlesque in LA this week, which also stars Christina Aguilera, Cher and Julianne Hough. When most people hear the title they think strip clubs and exotic dancers, but KB set the record straight with E! on the red carpet: “My character is fun and sexy but not a stripper. There is no nudity, and there are no pasties and G-strings. It’s very artistic burlesque… Burlesque is a tease. It’s not meant to really give that much away because that wouldn’t be considered a tease. It would be considered giving away the goods.” Now I'm intrigued!

Although young star Emma Roberts showed us just how sophisticated she can be at the Prada book party earlier this week, a few nights before that she showed us she's still just a girl – a Barbie pink loving girl! Emma indulged in dinner at Madeo in Los Angeles on November 10 with her beau, showing off her hot pink Birkin-esque bag while signing autographs for fans (get pink perfect with Kooba Handbag's Kellyn Bag with Triangle Ring in Pink). I say Birkin-esque because I'm not 100% sure Hermes makes such a fluorescent shade of the iconic tote – have any of you seen it in person? Going for a youthful, casual look, Emma paired uber skinny indigo jeans (try Rich & Skinny's flattering Sleek in Mystic) with black boots, a pink tank (like Splendid's super soft Slub Jersey Tank in Lilly) and simple gray cardi (try Raw 7's Embroidered Cardigan in Metal Grey). She added a little shine with layered gold necklaces, a chunky gold ring (like Allison Daniels Designs' Lots of Dots Ring in Gold) and petite gold earrings. What do you think of the casual 'fit? It's nothing too special, but compared to other 18 year old stars Emma's style is perfectly age appropriate. That said I don't think anyone will argue the lightened locks she showed off a few days later aren't doing wonders for her light complexion – she looks like a completely different person, IMO! As far as this boyfriend of hers, Emma has been dating Dathan Kippin for a few months now, who is more famous for playing tennis at UCLA than appearing on the silver screen like his girlfriend. They must really be head over heels in love, as the couple was spotted taking Emma's little sis shopping at the Grove over the weekend – and I'm sure there were a million other things they'd rather be doing. Like giving each other hickeys, for example. While Emma has a pretty clean-cut reputation, backstage sources at "Rock of Ages" were whispering when Emma brought Dathan backstage during intermission at a performance in September. According to witnesses, D's neck was covered in hickies, which he made no attempt to cover up in a tank top. Scandalous! Do you think this Page Six story has any merit?

Going out for a night on the town sans Tom, Katie Holmes gets glammed up for dinner in NYC on November 8. Katie has been commuting between Boston, where Tom is filming his latest action flick, and Long Island, where her film The Romantics began production last week and still continues to add big name cast members. While Katie spent her Saturday night dining with little Suri, she was spotted heading to dinner at a Tribeca restaurant on Sunday alone. Wonder who she met up with in her strapless ensemble? KH didn't let the dropping temps bother her in a murky blue Lanvin dress with an exposed side zip and gathered pleats at the front waist (try Rebecca Taylor's Cocktail Dress in Midnight or Single Dress' Strapless Pleat Dress in Black). I like the concept of the dramatic pleated front, but somehow between the baggy tube shape and no-frills knee length style I think the chic element is lost. Is it just me? Katie added sheer tights, which don’t really add any excitement, but I am loving her peep-toe Givenchy lace-up pumps (perk up your 'fit with Andrea and Joen's Daze in Black or Gwyneth Shoes' Kyra Pump in Black). Blake Lively was spotted looking extra, ahem, perky as she was photographed on the red carpet of a screening for her new film, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee, at AMC Loews 19th Street Theatre in NYC on November 15. But seriously, Blake is putting her puppies on full display! I've never really noticed before, but her boobs are fake, right? There's no way that they could be that full and round without a bra. Get it, B! For her premiere look, she paired a stunning embroidered Marchesa Spring 2010 blazer with oversized bow detailing (for two similarly stylish options that offer a bit more coverage, try either Sue Wong's Ribbon Coat in Ivory or Juicy Couture's Shrunken Coat in Cream) with a pair of black short shorts (try Johnson's Satin Belt Loop Short in Black) and a pair of white heels with black lining. I am absolutely in awe of how beautiful Blake looks in this ensemble, but I have to say, I'm not feeling the shoes. They seem kind of MOB (Mother of the Bride) to me. The stylishly quirky Chloë Sevigny was photographed posing and looking adorable on the red carpet of MOCA's 30th Anniversary Gala in LA on November 14, managing to look youthful, yet not like she's a grown woman wearing a child's clothing. Dressed in a Miu Miu Spring 2010 dress with bejeweled top and frilly neck and sleeve details, I absolutely adore this look on Chloë. From the bubblegum pink lip to the slightly tousled updo and her girlish grin, this all just works. The pale yellow chain bag and criss-cross cutout heels perfectly complement her look without overpowering it. Looking lovely on the red carpet, Jessica Alba smiles for the cameras at the book launch party of Mark Liddell's Exposed: 10 Years in Hollywood at Lloyd Wright's Sowden House in LA on November 9. For the event Jess sadly went back to her staple black stockings (bangs head against table) but luckily her black and white Narciso Rodriguez Resort 2010 frock adds a refreshing contrast (get the look with Rachel Pally's Mischa Dress in Black and White or Alice + Olivia's spunky Sequin Stripe Dress in White/Black or the Raw Edge Tube Dress in Black), and her Christian Louboutin Lady Page pumps with girly bow adorned toes add a playful element. Jess added some light accessories, a dainty silver bracelet (try Lois Hill's Small Fleur de Lis Bracelet in Silver) and sparkly earrings (similar to Michele Michel's Wreath Earrings in Silver) and completed the look with an oversized silver clutch large enough to hold a few autographed books from the event (I prefer Julie K's petite Sasha in Ice)! I'm not crazy about the whole look but I do love the voluminous curls – and the smile doesn't hurt either! Jess will have to get used to smiling over the next few months, as her thriller The Killer Inside Me is due to be released in early 2010. In the flick, Jess plays the girlfriend of a seemingly normal small town cop (played by Casey Affleck) who is secretly a sociopathic killer. In one kinky scene, he spanks Jess repeatedly in bed – sure to attract young male viewers! Do you think the scene gave Jess and Cash any frisky ideas?
