THE HILLS FINALE AIRS TONIGHT

Lauren Conrad is the latest celeb to head to New York, and was spotted here arriving in NYC on May 6. I just realized that Lauren's style is very similar to Rachel Bilson's; casual and yet always very put together. Lauren started her "jeans and tee" look with a white tee (check out Los Angeles Royalty's Bamboo Tee in White) and (of course) very dark wash denim (similar to Joe's Jeans' Chelsea Jean in Reed) tucked into black Minnetonka Moccasins. Accessory wise, Lauren kept it pretty basic, sticking to a patterned sheer silk scarf and silver bracelets (like Mickey Lynn Designs' Hammered Bracelet Set in Silver) and necklaces (check out Maya Brenner Designs' World Peace Necklace in Silver). As I'm sure you're already aware, tonight is the season finale of season 3 of "The Hills" on MTV, which will also air a pre-show and after-show for their ratings juggernaut. BuddyTV is describing the finale as "Audrina feeling threatened by Lauren Conrad's close friendship with Lo. Feeling shut out by the two, Audrina is bitten by the bug to move out on her own, prompting Lauren to make a heartfelt effort to mend things with her. Finally, Spencer Pratt fears the worst that Heidi will be lost to him for good when he finds out she's accepted a gig in Las Vegas." Always with the drama! Will you be watching??

BENJI THE LIFE CHANGER

Paris Hilton was spotted making quite the elaborate entrance (what else would we expect) to Loft and Garden in Rockefeller Center in NYC on May 8, to promote her new line of hair extensions for Sally Beauty Supply. The line, called Clipin-Go by Paris Hilton, will be sold exclusively at Sally stores nationwide, and Paris says that she's "been wearing hair extensions for years and have tried other products that didn’t work. When I started using DreamCatchers from my line, I started using the best quality and styles. I’m always coming up with new ideas because I love coming up with fun hairstyles." Oh Paris, always so business savvy! Hilton chose an angelic white frock for her promotional blitz, similar to LaROK's Coco Sequin Dress in White and Black Halo's Empire Tank Mini Dress in White, with a pair of off-white patent pumps and mucho body bronzer. While we all know Paris and Benji Madden have had quite the whirlwind romance, Paris is speaking out about just how much the Madden twin changed her life. She said, "We've been friends for over six years now and when (Nicole Richie) had Harlow I started going over to the house and we just got a little crush on each other and totally fell in love. It's actually perfect. (Nicole and I) are like sisters, and they're twins so it works out well. We do talk about (marriage). I'm so happy. I'm so in love. And I know I want to spend the rest of my life with him. If you saw us together you'd understand. He's my boyfriend and my best friend." Good for Paris- do you see her and Benji spending "the rest of their lives together" though?

MISCHA LOVES HER BODY

Yay! Mischa Barton listened to me! Since my last entry, she fixed her hair and all-in-all seems 100% less stoned than she usually does on red carpet appearances! And I do have to say... I like this look on Mischa. While some of you readers might hate it, it's nice to see Misch try a different look than her usual hippie/bohemian style and go for something a little bit more upscale and, dare I say it, preppy? Mischa arrived to the 5th Annual Candies Foundation “Event To Prevent” Benefit at Cipriani in NYC (is everyone in New York right now??) on May 7, rocking a pretty floral blouse (while Mischa's is a little bit more corset-esque, Vanitas' Liberty Top in Floral Dot and Gold Hawk's Floral Stripe Cami in Enlgish Ivy Print are cute alternatives) tucked into a pair of high-waisted trousers (check out Paper Denim & Cloth's Utility Pant in Matchstick). Barton completed her look with a matching tan shoulder bag and her "I-won't-go-anywhere-without-them" silver cuffs (like Jessica Elliot's Open Clover Cuff in Sterling Silver). While it seems that everyone is still freaking out about the less-than-flattering paparazzi candids of Mischa sunning herself on her hotel balcony, Mischa doesn't have any problems with her body. She spoke out about everyone's obsession with her body, saying, "Every woman has cellulite. I’ve never claimed to have a perfect body. I eat healthy, I work out. I feel very comfortable. I come from a European family that’s always very comfortable with their bodies. You are what you are as a woman. If I’m in shape and I’m fulfilling my role as an actress, then that’s all that matters to me. There’s been a lot of nasty gossip written about me. If I was to cry over every single thing, I’d be the most depressed person ever.” Way to keep your head up, MB!

BEYONCE'S NEW ADS RUFFLE FEATHERS

Beyonce Knowles came out to support her man, Jay-Z, as she hit up Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z’s concert after-party at 40/40 Club in NYC on May 6, and was definitely on Chanel overload! I'm not saying she doesn't look amazing, but between the belt, necklaces, gloves, and bag... it's a little much! To get Beyonce's megawatt look for less, start with a slinky black shirtdress (like LaROK's Kayak Shirt Dress in Black), and pair with a high-waisted patent leather belt (similar to Jack Rabbit Collection's Patent Leather Breathless Belt in Black). Next up, pile on the chain (check out Gemma Redux's Libby Necklace with Green Onyx) and pearl necklaces, grab a pair of black leather gloves and a killer bag and you'll be set for a night on the town. It seems that the internet community is up in arms lately due to Beyonce's risque new ad campaign for her House of Dereon Baby Collection, which features tiny young girls in full faces of makeup and wearing super skimpy clothing. Many feel the disturbing ads cross the line, with the young girls wearing lipstick, boas and three-inch spike heels. Um... creepy much! One internet blogger said of the ads, "What is the next ad going to look like? Babies wearing gold metallic bikinis while five-year old boys throw Monopoly money on them? Let our children be damn children at least ’till the age of 8. Then they can worry about bikini waxes and putting out." Ouch! What do you think- did B's new ad campaign go too far?

RACHEL IS FOR THE DOGS

Rachel Bilson was spotted shopping at the Glendale Galleria mall yesterday, May 10, with a friend, checking out gifts at Williams-Sonoma (most likely picking up a last minute gift for mom for Mother's Day). Rachel stepped out in her classic, casual style, consisting of a long-sleeve grey tee (Signorelli's Omni Peace Long Sleeve Tee in Grey is similar and proceeds go to a very good cause) with a white scarf (like Elizabeth Gillett Ltd's Imelda Shawl in Ivory) and skinny jeans (check out Denim of Virtue's Patience 5 Pocket Tapered Jean in Midnight). Accessory wise, Rachel chose her good old trusty black Wayfarers (which do not seem to be losing their coolness factor with Hollywood "it girls" anytime soon), in addition to a practical brown leather belt (Pellemelle's Double Ring Belt in Chestnut is similar) for her jeans. Finally, Bilson punched up her look with a bright yellow Dior bag and matching t-strap sandals. While it's no secret that Rachel is quite the animal lover, she has been spending quite a noteworthy amount of time lately pampering her pooches. After her day of shopping for mom, she headed to a pet store to grab some treats for her dog Thurmen Murmen, and just days before, took Thurmen to K9 Loft Doggie Daycare for a day of pampering. Oh to be a celebrity's dog... must be nice!

Sienna dishes on daddy dearest

Sienna Miller was spotted strolling solo out in Beverly Hills on May 1, looking casual and stylish as always. Sporting her favorite pair of black Wayfarers with an eye catching red bag (check out Antoinette Lee Designs' Anna Stitch Tote in Cherry), Miller then paired a plaid shirt with a casual white tank (take a look at Sydney Los Angeles' Sydney Tank in Dawn White) and extreme light wash skinnies (similar to Deener's Charmer Skinny Jean in Powder). Finishing touch? A pair of metallic gold t-strap sandals. Voila! Instant Sienna style. It seems that although Sienna is very comfortable appearing nude for her art, such as in films like Factory Girl, Alfie and Layer Cake, she still is bashful about her doting dad viewing the nude scenes. Since Papa Miller usually attends all of her movie premieres, she encourages him to cover his eyes when her bare flesh graces the screen. Miller says, "I get embarrassed especially if my dad watches them. I get embarrassed watching them myself. But sometimes you just have to do it. It is not the most comfortable situation to be in, but if you are going to do a love scene you might as well do it. It has to be realistic and I think it is probably very rare that people have sex with their bras on, so if you are going to do it, just do it. That's my motto." It just goes to show that Sienna really holds nothing back in her film roles... she really goes all out!

Harlow is changing Nicole's friends

Nicole Richie was photographed heading into traffic school in LA on May 7, looking effortlessly stylish as always, if not a little cow-girlish in those patent cowboy boots. Yee-haw! If you are inspired by Nicole's look here, I have a few suggestions for you. First, since it looks like Nicole's dress is like 3 awesome dresses sewn together, I recommend Karina Grimaldi's Zuni Silk Mini Dress in Grey Feathers, a flirty take on the peacock feather motif present in Nic's frock. To emulate the striped vibe of the dress, take a peek at Ella Moss' Clementine Halter Dress in Sangria or Karen Zambos' Tank Shirt Dress in Stripe. Accessory wise, Nic brought along her blue Balenciaga for her traffic school outing, in addition to a large hat and gradient shades (like Nour's Kiara Sunglasses in Manner Mania). We all know what a life-changer giving birth to baby Harlow was for Nicole, but now Nic is letting the world know that her friends have been changed with the birth of baby Harlow as well. Richie says, "I feel like my group of five to 10 friends, they really love her, like she's theirs. My friends never go outside for smoke breaks anymore, they don't curse, they are definitely more demure. It's actually been really interesting." Wonderful!

Halle's new role (besides being a mom)

Halle Berry (and her head full of curls!) was spotted outside of her Beverly Hills home on May 5, looking radiant and pretty much down to her pre-baby weight, before she gave birth to Nahla Ariela Aubry in March. Halle's look is basic yet she still makes it look amazing, consisting of a flowy black dress (check out Ella Moss' Cassidy Short Dress in Black or Gold Hawk's very similar Short Sleeve V Neck Dress in Onyx Black) with black flip flops, oversized shades (like JeeVice Optics' Edgy Sunglasses in Oyster Bronze), and a singular silver cuff (similar to Rachel Leigh's Buckle Bangle in Silver). After giving birth to her precious baby girl, you'd think that Berry would rest and take it easy, but no! She has committed to star in the upcoming indie film Frankie and Alice, a "psychological drama in which she plays a character with multiple-personality disorder". One of the twists of the film, however, is that one of Halle's character's multiple personalities is of a racist white woman. This should be interesting! I do have to say, though, that Halle is a great actress, and will definitely bring something great to this challenging role.

Heidi hotter than Lauren?

Lauren Conrad was spotted running errands around LA on May 5, rockin' the gladiator sandals with her easy Spring look. To nab Lauren's style, start with a breezy white tank (like Joe's Jeans' Isley Pleated Top in Bone, which also comes in an awesome teal color) and denim shorts (for an alternative to Lauren's casual cutoffs, check out Tag Jeans' Double Belted Short in Light Wash). Next up, pile on the gold necklaces and bracelets, and snag a pair of killer square shades (similar to JeeVice Optics' Red Hot Sunglasses in Brown Fade). Finishing touch? Katie Holmes was spotted out shopping with Suri on Madison Avenue in NYC on May 5, still rocking a twin hairstyle to the two year old tot. Speaking of hair, is it just me or does Suri's hair look like five shades lighter than usual? It might have just lightened up due to the sun, but what if Katie and Tommy Boy decided to dye Suri's hair!? Crazy town. For Katie's NY look, start with a funky trenchcoat (like Ecoganik's lightweight French Terry Jacket in Coffee) over a turtleneck (I love the shade of Kushcush's Skinny Turtleneck in Lavendar), and pair with wide leg dark wash denim (like James Jeans' Wesley 5 Pocket Wide Leg Jean in Troy). Accessory wise, Katie paired a pair of round shades (check out Nour's Kiara Sunglasses in Manner Mania) with a big textured back and patent heels. While Tom and Katie have been spotted all over NY lately, it seems that their body language has started to garner a lot of extra attention. Tom is pretty much always holding on to Katie in some way, and body language expert Judi James has analyzed one photo in particular of Tom holding Katie's hand (as well as her upper arm) for The Sun. Judi says, "While holding Katie’s hand is chivalrous and gentlemanly, grabbing her forearm has a new meaning and shows command and control. Tom looks more like Katie’s bodyguard. She looks like the star and it’s as if he’s doing the thinking for her. It’s a very controlling hold, almost a form of parental affection. There’s no sign of sexual affection here.” No sign of sexual affection between TomKat? That's a new one!
