IN SYNCH FOR THE CFDA AWARDS

Fashion savvy twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were photographed with Russian supermodel (and one of my personal faves) Sasha Pivovarova on June 7 at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards that were held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in NYC. This black-and-white trio seemed to coordinate their 'fits pre-event, as each look was for the most part synergistic. Diving into each look individually, let's start with MK. One of the things I find most interesting about the Olsen's style is that, a lot of the time, it's hard to tell exactly what they're wearing! It seems that MK chose a white maxi dress (try Sue Wong's Macrame Mermaid Maxi in White) with an oversized white collared shirt and a baggy black blazer (like Monrow's Double Breasted Tuxedo Jacket in Black) and a seriously smokey eye. As usual with MK and accessories - more is more. She piled on the bangles and a vintage watch (get the look with Anna Beck's Java Diamond Studded Large Cuff in Gold), along with rings galore (Jacquie Aiche's 14k Gold Twisted Waif Set is great). A black clutch and a dark pedicure completed her look. Sasha, on the other hand, paired a slouchy white silk camisole with a ruffled skirt (check out Tt Collection's Tiffany Long Skirt in Black) and a dramatic feathered necklace (go for a similar look with Elizabet Gillett Ltd's Jersey Flapper Necklace in Black). A slightly disheveled 'do and a come hither gaze topped things off. Lastly, we come to Ashley who went super minimal with a black maxi dress (give off a bit of a sexier vibe with Tt Collection's Cristophe Double Layer Gown in Black) and black strappy sandals, and carried a classic black clutch (I adore the studded detailing of Julie K Handbags' Sasha in Black).
