IN BALMAIN AT THE BET AWARDS

Sultry songstress Ciara made an appearance at the BET Awards held on June 27 in LA donning an edgy Balmain look, complete with studs and fringe and brocade, oh my! In a black and gold strong shouldered Balmain Fall 2010 mini dress (get a similar, simpler look with Carter's Pointed Shoulder Matrix Dress in Black), Ciara accessorized fiercely with Giuseppe Zanotti for Balmain cuff lace up booties and drop earrings (try CC Skye's Benetar Earrings in Gold or Circadian Studios' Silver Branch Post Earring). The finishing touch to C's 'fit? A studded gold belt, which was different than what was shown on the runway. For something similar, take a look at Motif 56's Kenya Belt in Dark Natural. In recent Ciara news, it seems that the R&B diva is defending the diss she received from her producer pal The Dream when he said that Ciara was facing "her last shot at pop stardom." Says Ciara, "Let me tell you one thing about Dream. If you don’t know him you’ll misunderstand him. One thing about him is he has a big heart, you know so he never means to come from the wrong place however. Sometimes, when he speaks, he might say something and it comes off a certain way. So I talked to him and I really got on him. I was like ‘yo what are you talking about!? I don’t even understand what you’re trying to say’. But we talked about it. We’re like family... it did come out wrong but it’s all love. We’re like brother and sister" Interesting, but what brother would be that negative about his sister, besides Spencer Pratt?
