HP'S NEW OLDER MAN?

I'm still not really sure how I feel about Hayden Panettiere in this bright red frock on the 2009 Emmy's red carpet in Los Angeles on Sept 20, but I think her J. Mendel Resort 2010 dress deserves a mention. The layers of silk and chiffon are gorgeously draped in the rich red shade (turn heads with frocks like Ingwa Melero's Angelina Maxi Dress in Coral, LaROK's Laguna Beach Dress in Flame or Interlud's Stitch Hem Halter Dress in Red), accented with a Fred Leighton serpent necklace with matching gold disk earrings (try Citrine by the Stone's Free Dome Earring in Gold) and a shiny box clutch by Judith Leiber (check out Moyna Handbag's exquisite Glass Beaded Tote in Taupe). I love the dramatic old Hollywood look with the pin curls and the gold accessories, but I have to wonder when Hayden will finally learn what does and doesn't flatter her petite figure. The bandage bodices just have to go! The dress is stunning but it cuts into her chest on the left side – if the sleeves had covered both soldiers, problem solved. What do you all think of HP's Emmys look? She wasn't the only star who opted to for crimson: Debra Messing and Blake Lively were some of the other honorable mentions in this hue. While most stars at the Emmy after parties are looking celebrate their work, HP found another reason to get excited: her newfound romance with Entourage star Kevin Connelly! Hayden was spotted getting up close and personal with him at the post-show HBO Emmy party, where an eyewitness told the paps: “They were there to hang out together and stayed for hours until well after midnight. Kevin only left Hayden’s side towards the end of the night when he wanted to chat with someone at another table.” We all know HP has a thing for older men – her exes include co-star Milo Ventimiglia, 32 and British entertainer Steve Jones, 31 – so it's believable she'd fall for Entourage's sweetest star.
