HOLIDAY BINGE?

Continuing her birthday adventures, Jessica Simpson checks out the sights in Rome, Italy with new beau Eric Johnson on July 13. The lovey dovey couple strolled the Spanish Steps hand in hand, later spotted enjoying a romantic dinner on their last night in Europe following a week-long sojourn celebrating Jessica's 30th birthday. In typical Simpson fashion, Jess strolled the city in platform wedges (check out Farylrobin's fun new Issie Wedge in Dark Brown) and a bold printed maxi dress (go for a more condensed, slimming print like RaMona LaRue's Stella Dress in Alligator or Shumaq's Paisley Halter Dress in Orange), which doesn't exactly have the most flattering fit. After months of fighting to get her body back, this dress isn't doing her any favors! Jess accessorized the look with gold hoop earrings (love Robyn Rhodes' Trixie in Multi) with a mixed bangle set (like Amrita Singh's Alanna Bangle Set in Gold). Jess pulled her hair back in a messy side braid and stayed hydrated while strolling the city in the hot summer weather. What do you think of her look, is the dress forgivable or is this a complete miss? While Jess has definitely taken some time off from the gym, she did recently spend some time in a courtroom settling a lawsuit over a work-out video Jess shot in 2005 for Speedfit LLC. Jessica's legal team sued the fitness producers to prevent the video's release, which they claimed was unfit for sale even after over a year of editing. She lost the case, but Speedfit's owner counter-sued last year for $10 million, alleging Jess arrived at the shoot a bit "tipsy" and was the reason the shoot went awry. Scandalous! Jess recently prevailed in the second case, with her lawyer announcing to the press, “My clients are extremely pleased with the arbitrator’s decision and are fully confident that the award will be confirmed by the court.” At least something is going well for the former pop princess!
