If you like particular elements of Hil's ensemble, I suggest maybe going the simpler route, and perhaps pairing her vibrant tank (similar to Prarie New York's Column Top in Acid) with denim shorts (check out Joe's Jeans' Braided 5 Pocket Short in Berkley) like she does here, but minusing the fishnets and knee-high boots. Fishnets and knee-highs? You're not working the corner, Hil! The reason why I mentioned that Hil's time at the spa was for some much needed R&R is that Hil had a drowning scare while filming her new film! While filming a scene in the ocean off of the New Jersey shore, it seems that the overpowering waves were too much for Duff to handle and two men in wetsuits had to come to her rescue. In the scene, Hil was supposed to merely float on her back, yet a serene float was quite the opposite of what actually happened! Alls well that ends well, however, as Hil wasn't hurt by the incident, and emerged seemingly unfazed. I wonder if Hil signaled for the men to come to her aide, or if the crew was just being overly cautious? I'm going to cast my vote for an overly cautious crew… because why take chances when a starlet's life may be in peril?

When I travel a lot, usually I'm just so tired that I just want to go to my hotel room and sleep. After doing that for a couple of months you think: 'Why do I do this? Where's the reward?'." Hmm- might the reward be being rich and famous, getting into clubs before you're 21, having designers give you free clothes? Just thinking out loud here. She says, "I don’t believe in having one partner for your whole life, but I hope I get married. I want to have a husband and two kids and a nice little life baking pies." Sounds quaint! I wonder why she was there in the first place though. Did Hilary attend this elementary school as a tiny tot (doubt it) or was she simply makin' a quick buck to make an appearance (think so)? Either way, she was all smiles, which is probably all that the Normandie School wanted. In related Hilary news, she has spoken out recently regarding her own experiences as a child. She was quoted as saying that although her childhood experience wasn't that of a typical kids', she's "experienced things other girls haven't. I've travelled, I'm financially independent, I own a beautiful home and I'm happy with my job. I don't have to struggle with the questions a lot of other women do." Well good for you, Hil. As long as you're happy with yourself, that's the most important thing.

Wearing light-wash bootcut jeans with a flowy light brown tunic top (like Karen Zambos' Low Scoop Dress) and paired with a grey button-down cardigan (ParkVogel's Cashmere Cardigan is a similar style in a tan shade), Hil made sure she still looked like her stylish self, even at the airport. In addition to soaring into the sky on a jetplane at LAX, it seems that the Duffster is also reaching new heights in the reconciliation department as well. While it seems that former Duff enemy Lindsay Lohan might have had the worst Memorial Day weekend ever (hello car crash, DUI, cocaine scandal and rehab part two), at least the two girls made peace before Linds headed into Promises. Hilary said recently that she and "Lindsay were out at the same place, and we were like, 'Let's get this out of the way.' And she was really nice, and I was really nice." And just like that, the hatchet was officially buried. Must be nice for Linds to not have any drama with Hil hanging over her head as she re-entered rehab, even though, let's be serious, the drama was about Aaron Carter! Ha!

Seen heading into hot Hollywood eatery Mr. Chows on May 2, Hilary was doing the monochromatic thing, rockin' a pair of dark wash grey skinny jeans with a black v-neck tunic (Signorelli and Woo make two similar tops, the Signorelli tunic totally plays off of the print on Hil's hat!), a chunky necklace and nude peeptoes. Hilary was all set to have a delicious Chinese meal with her sister Haylie, but it's more than likely that she would much rather be shopping! Hil recently confessed that she "probably has 110 pairs of heels and flats, and about 25 pairs of boots. I love clothes. I have a huge fetish for shoes and clothes and makeup." When Hilary was visiting Toronto recently, she told The Toronto Star that she "never gets time to go shopping and I love it so much. I went to Holt's right after I got here straight from the airport yesterday. They were closing but they said, `Shop as long as you want.'" What? A store staying open for a celebrity shopping spree? Unheard of! At least Hilary is one of those it-girls who, even though she has a stylist, knows what she likes and does at least some of her shopping herself!

Hilary Duff attended an event thrown by the International Polo Club, Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida on April 21 looking cute as a button as always. Hilary's looks are usually one of two options; sexy and mature, or girly and young-looking, like this outfit is. Wearing 10 inch J Brand Ankle Jeans with a Saint Grace printed pocket tank (this Zoa pocket tunic is similar, but a solid color), white pumps, and a flirty gold necklace and earrings, Hil proves she can still appeal to the tween demographic. Another demographic the Hilary definitely appeals to is the freaky psycho stalker demographic! When Hilary was in Canada on April 24, she was doing an interview with MuchMusic when a stalker came forward and vowed to kill her! He was almost immediately pummeled by policemen and thrown to the ground, and witnesses say he was bleeding. Yikes! Thankfully, Hil wasn't super creeped out by this experience and continued to sign autographs for fans. Hilary was probably used to this by now, after her encounter last year with another stalker who threatened to kill her! Does Hil have like a stalker magnet on her chest or what??

Hilary Duff attended the International Polo Club's Annual Polo Ball Black-Tie Gala on April 20, and for some reason circus animals were the guest of honor. Hilary busted out some freaky moves with an elephant, all while wearing her Louboutins, no less. Looking chic in a red/orange mini-dress ( Lotta Stensson makes a dress in a similar standout color with awesome embroidery) with gold bangles and the aforementioned nude patent leather Christian Louboutins, I think Hil has found a perfect polished, grown-up look. It seems that if Hil's recording career ever fell by the wayside, she could fall back on a career in interior design! Apparently, Hilary is obsessed with redecorating her home, and is constantly focused on how she can rearrange or spruce up her living space. Hil told OK Magazine recently that she "loves interior decorating so much. I’m a total OCD freak about it too. I rearrange things all the time, and Haylie’s like, ‘Oh, that’s pretty!’ But she has her part of the house and I have my part of the house.” Ok, now I'm totally envisioning a room with masking tape down the center, with all of Hilary's stuff on one side and all of Haylie's stuff on the other. At least it's good to know that if Hil has to quit her day job, she's got another one all lined up!

Doing all of this press for her album "Dignity" must make Hilary feel like she's on top of the world, due to the successful chart positioning of the album during it's first week of sales. "Dignity" opened at #4 on the Billboard charts, which is one of the best debuts of her career. The success of her new album prompted the Duffster to clear some things up, however, about her lyrical inspiration for some of the tracks. While it was widely thought that the song "Gypsy Woman" was about Nicole Richie, her ex-boyfriends new main squeeze, when in fact it's about the dissolution of her parent's marriage. I guess the gypsy was the other woman! Well known for her over-the-top facial expressions (along with Jessica Simpson), Hil made a shocking expression at her autograph session.. I wonder what someone said to her? Did they call her Nicole?

A sleek and sophistocated Hilary Duff headed into MTV's TRL Studios on March 26, chicly clad in a black trenchcoat ( Ziji and Lotta Stensson make similar stylish coats), cuffed 10 inch black J Brands and patent leather Louboutin stilettos. Hil has definitely come a long way from her pre-teen Lizzie McGuire days! Off to TRL to promote her new album, Dignity, it has recently been revealed that this album might have never been released at all. The Duffster was thinking of scrapping the majority of the songs from the record, due to how most of them were about how in love she was with her ex, Joel Madden. Instead of cutting them from the album completely, Hil wrote (yes, wrote!) and recorded some songs about love gone wrong to balance out the lovey-dovey ones. It's a good thing that she didn't decide to cut them altogether, as that would have made her run in with Joel at TRL even that much more awkward! Hil said that "it was the first time we'd seen each other and it was so, like, nerve-racking. I knew that he was going to be there and he knew. It is what it is." All I have to say is whoever booked these two on the same show… genious!

Although the title of her album is Dignity, it seems like she's getting a little catty on the title track. " Where's your dignity? I think you lost it in the Hollywood Hills. Can't buy respect but you can pick up that bill," Hil sings, obviously lashing out against Nicole Richie, who is dating her ex-boyfriend Joel Madden. In the track "Gypsy Woman", Hil sings that " She lets you think that you found her first / That's how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse / Talks with a grin 'cause she's got no shame / Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name". Hmmm… might that family name be Richie? Just wondering. When asked if these songs are directly about this little love triange, Duff's people say that "Yes, some are. But she has gone through a lot, including a very frightening pair of Russian stalkers." How could I forget that! One thing is for sure, this new album is going to get the US Weekly writers working overtime!

After a promotional visit to Madrid, Hilary Duff is back in London promoting her new album, but had time to stop for lunch with friends on March 5 at a Lebanese restaurant, and wore her favorite black 10 inch J Brands with a white cami, black fitted coat and white Louboutins. She's looking great! Recently, Hil had a little encounter that just goes to show, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Unbeknownst to me, apparently tons of gay men love the Duff, as evidenced by this little encounter Hilary had at Barney's. Hil recalls how she "was in Barneys, shopping. And there’s this kid who works there who looks like a hardcore kid, you know? And he was staring at me, and I was like, “Oh God. I’m probably about to get some rude comment. He probably hates me and thinks I suck.” Because he looked like a really hardcore kid, even though he works at Barneys. And he comes up to me and goes, “So, when am I going to get your new single? I’m gay, and I love you, and I’m just so happy that you’re doing this dance music because I can go out and dance with my friends!" Wow. First of all, how hardcore can this kid be, he works at Barney's. Second, I bet Hilary will now think twice before she assumes that someone isn't obsessed with her, you never know, they may be gay and love your dance music!

When Hilary Duff was posing for this promotional shoot for her new album Dignity back in February, I don't think she had any idea how much gossip some of the lyrics would stir up in the press! Wearing two pairs of Davis by Ruthie Davis black and white patent leather pumps (Davis' Frame T Chrome Chic Patent Heel is a similar shoe from the designer) as well as two versions of the same detailed mini-dress (Zoa's Sheer Dot Halter is a flirty halter version of Hil's dress that comes in both black and white), Hilary definitely looked very grown up. When asked to talk about her new single, "Stranger", numerous people continued to think the song talked about her ex Joel Madden's relationship with Nicole Richie, even after Hil already confirmed that her song "Gypsy Woman" wasn't about Nicole. Now Hilary is saying, yet again, that she "made it seem like this was a relationship that I was in, but it's actually about my parents and about their relationship. But I didn't want people to know that." I can totally understand that, a parent's divorce is a really sensitive subject to put out in the public eye. Now that we know Hil has no ill-will towards Nicole, it seems the media needed to make someone else Hilary's arch nemesis, and looks like they chose faux-punk Avril Lavigne! Allegedly, at Maxim's Hot 100 Party, an "all night drama-fest" occurred due to how the feuding girls could not stand to be there at the same time, with Maxim sources saying that Avril kept "threatening to take off and was driving everyone crazy." Ugh, despite the fact that Avril totally gets on my nerves, I think this story falls perfectly into the category "don't believe everything you read"!

Ever since revealing to Ryan Seacrest that she now loves "dating like a guy", squeaky clean pop princess Hilary Duff has totally been hittin' the town and playin' the field! When she broke up with Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden (who is now joined at the hip with Nicole Richie), I'm sure there was a lot of chocolate eating and Kleenex purchasing. But now she's over it and is one lean mean dating machine! Hil says that "dating is fun. I kind of feel like a guy! It's, like, I can do it now. But I feel kind of wrong at the same time. I've never gotten to date before, so it's kind of exciting. I've always just had a boyfriend, you know? I'm young!" Young you are little Miss Duff, in fact, too young to be allowed into LA hotspot Area on February 10! However, this didn't stop the Duffster, as she went out in an ensemble that is, how should I say this, a little more "Britney appropriate". In a raggedy red mini, fishnets, leather boots and (the saving graces of the outfit) a v-neck sweater with skull earrings and gold bracelets, Hilary looked like we've never seen her before, cute but a little provocative! And to top it all off.. the gold Razr? Eesh!

While Hilary says that she and Joel are still on speaking terms, they have each also moved on. She explains, "I had a really great relationship with him, and we still have a great relationship, which is really good and unusual. He's a good person, and I will always care about him." Such maturity from such a young girl!

You know if this was a blind item everyone would go "Duh, no brainer.. obviously Lindsay!" But Lohan it 'aint, it's actually Hilary Duff goin' all sorts of crazy! Hil was spotted in the Valley over the weekend having lunch with sis Haylie, looking cozy and comfortable in medium wash jeans tucked into black Uggs and a gray v-neck sweater; this low-key lunch was most likely recuperation time from Thursday night!

The gossip swirling around this young, innocent starlet is saying that the Grey Goose definitely had Hil feelin' loose as she stopped by eternal hotspot Hyde on January 25. Seen making out with an older man, dancing on tabletops with Paris and lashing out at girls in the bathroom, who knew Hilary was such a party animal? Sources say Hil "was pretty drunk and staggering around the bathroom, bumping into people and shrieking", when the other girls in the bathroom told Hil that her gay male friend had to get out. Both Hil and Haylie partied steadily the rest of the night at their VIP table, leaving the club at the wee hours of the morning. If this is true, Hilary might be following Lohan's footsteps.. right into rehab!

Like any 19 year old would be, Hilary Duff is still pretty broken up over her break up with longtime boyfriend, rocker Joel Madden, who has quickly moved on to Nicole Richie. So, to get out of her breakup funk, Hil headed down to Miami with sis Haylie Duff in hopes that she could party her cares away, Britney style. Well, maybe not Britney style, that might be a little too extreme, but she did set out to do anything except for think about Joel. On January 3, Hilary went out to the clubs looking very grown up wearing jet black J Brands with a Chanel top, an oversized red ring and a cute clutch. And of course, to top off this woman-in-black outfit, black nailpolish!

In Miami, Page Six is reporting that, while club-hopping with Haylie, Hilary rejected every guy who tried approaching her, including Nicky Hilton's now single ex, "Entourage" star Kevin Connolly. Kevin tried chit-chatting with Hil, who, according to sources, looked really bored. I guess getting over Joel is going to take a little more time than she thought; I guess tattooed (fake) rockers really leave their mark.

I think it's so funny what stars people become freakishly obsessed with, you just know her creepy stalker dances around in his bedroom at night to "What Dreams are Made Of"!
