Celebrating Turkey Day early, Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson head out with his parents for an Italian feast at Coppola's in New York City on November 24. Jess was occupied on the actual holiday performing at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, belting out her new single "My Only Wish" off her just released Happy Christmas holiday album. For her night out with her future in-laws, Jessica channeled the fall military trend in a cropped button jacket (try Willow & Clay's Military Jacket in Black) and charcoal skinnies with black tape running down the side seams (check out Level 99's ultra comfy Skinny Jegging in Collection) with black buckled ankle boots (similar to Farylrobin's Valenta Platform Bootie in Black). Jess carried a shimmering gunmetal tote (add some shine with Jalda's Fabric Masha in Black) but added the most sparkle with her ruby and diamond engagement ring, on full display this evening unlike her last outing with her fiancé. As a finishing touch Jessica added a simple pair of hoop earrings (put a twist on the classic with a doubled design like PM Designs Jewelry by Pamela Minton's Ibiza Earring in Sterling) and a deep ruby manicure to complement the aforementioned engagement ring. What do you think of Jessica's polished look, is she making a good impression on the rents? Jess has been pretty busy on the press trail over the past few weeks, promoting her new Christmas album and getting plenty of time to gush about how her man popped the question: “I absolutely had no idea. He had talked to my mom and dad and my sister [Ashlee] three weeks before he asked me. He had the ring in his shoe at my house somewhere. I was like, why hide it in a shoe, but it worked. He got down on his knee and I had to sit down on it because I was so shocked… It was definitely one of those moments where I’ve never felt that way before, ever… We met in my house, it was amazing that he proposed to me in my house.” Awww, congrats to the two of them!
