Kirsten Dunst sported a much improved look as she meandered around Soho with a gaggle of gal pals on Monday, July 28. Note that “much improved” does not necessarily mean this look works for her! Kiki wore a playful sailor frock with fun pockets and stripes on the collar, just a bit too potato-sack looking on her tiny frame (if you like the nautical look, check out more wearable versions like Parameter’s Metallic Cargo Tunic in Ivy and Miguelina’s Melanie Dress in Marine). KD kept her look very, very simple with black ballet flats (try Matiko’s Tahira Wedge in Black for a not-so-plain version), standard black sunnies (similar to JeeVice’s Sassy in Black), and tamed the blonde mane in a basic ballerina bun. On a side note, her friends all looked cute in their summer dresses with flats and fun jewelry – not sure why they didn’t give Kirsten some tips to spice up her ensemble! Since she has finished filming All Good Things with Ryan Gosling, KD is taking some time to enjoy the intellectual side of life, adding art and politics to her agenda (let that sink in for a minute). Kiki attended 303 Gallery’s 25th anniversary gala last week, where she mingled with other celebs and artists while checking out the futuristic exhibit. The Crazy/Beautiful star is gearing up to rock the vote this fall and threw out this random factoid at the party, “It’s all about America’s agrarian roots, see? November is the end of harvest, and the Tuesday vote allowed Sabbath-observing country folk enough time to horse-and-buggy it to the polling stations before Wednesday market.” KD was explaining the documentary she is going to make this fall, advocating the idea that voting day should be a national holiday so more people can make it to the polls. Whatever gets you in the voting booth, Kiki!
