I just can’t help but love this look from head to toe – it’s so different from HP’s typical minis! Stepping out in yet another sizzling mini, Hayden Panettiere paid no attention to the frigid temps and attended the Washington, DC “Declare Yourself” celebration gala on January 18. HP must have forgotten how lucky she is to be living in LA when she packed this little number and headed cross-country! Even though her look is repetitive, I can’t help but love the intricate sequined pattern of this sassy little mini (emulate the flashy look for yourself with Smitten’s Capsleeve Sequins Dress in Black or LaROK’s Serengeti Tunic in Black Zebra), and the scoop back is very sexy on her petite little body! A pose looking over her shoulder would’ve done this mini justice – where’s her stylist giving her directions when she needs them? Panettiere told me that someone opened the side door of the nightclub so she could go inside and say hello to friends, not buy drinks." Although Ashton is quite the goofster, I couldn’t help feeling a little inspired by his message, as I’m sure Hayden was: "There's an assumption that [Obama] is going to take on his new job full-time and somehow wave a magic wand of change, and I don't believe that to be true. I think that we have to be the leaders, and that's not as celebrities -- I think that we as citizens have to be leaders of the movement that we want to create." HP co-hosted the event (which ultimately had the theme of: save the whales!) at Eva Longoria’s Beso eatery, wearing a stunning strapless coral number (like Prairie New York’s Chic Strapless Dress in Chocolate or the Bow Dress in Tomato) with an iridescent envelope clutch (just like Posse New York’s Sama Clutch in White Pearl), shimmering drop earrings (check out Kuo Ting’s Frosted Teardrop Earrings in Sterling Silver), and a flashy silver band (try Christie Martin’s cool personalized Sterling Silver Band Ring). HP swept her newly shorn locks into a sophisticated updo, making her look years beyond her tender age of 18. No matter how stunning she looked, the night took a turn for the worse as soon as HP left the party with co-star/boytoy Milo Ventimiglia. First, Hayden’s Porsche Cayenne (driven by her bf) ran over a photog’s foot while leaving the restaurant. Hey, I’m sure the pap jumped in front of the car while trying to get one last shot of the couple, but it’s too bad HP couldn’t save the day with her healing powers.
