HAYDEN NEEDS A HERO

Wow, talk about a bad day. Despite the events that followed, America’s favorite Heroes hottie, Hayden Panettiere, looked drop-dead gorgeous at the Whaleman Foundation Benefit in Hollywood, CA on August 10. HP co-hosted the event (which ultimately had the theme of: save the whales!) at Eva Longoria’s Beso eatery, wearing a stunning strapless coral number (like Prairie New York’s Chic Strapless Dress in Chocolate or the Bow Dress in Tomato) with an iridescent envelope clutch (just like Posse New York’s Sama Clutch in White Pearl), shimmering drop earrings (check out Kuo Ting’s Frosted Teardrop Earrings in Sterling Silver), and a flashy silver band (try Christie Martin’s cool personalized Sterling Silver Band Ring). HP swept her newly shorn locks into a sophisticated updo, making her look years beyond her tender age of 18. No matter how stunning she looked, the night took a turn for the worse as soon as HP left the party with co-star/boytoy Milo Ventimiglia. First, Hayden’s Porsche Cayenne (driven by her bf) ran over a photog’s foot while leaving the restaurant. Hey, I’m sure the pap jumped in front of the car while trying to get one last shot of the couple, but it’s too bad HP couldn’t save the day with her healing powers. Then, to add to the stress that goes along with any auto blunder, things took a serious turn for the worse on the homefront. Cops were called to Mama and Papa Panettiere’s residence around 3am for a domestic disturbance. It’s unclear exactly what happened, but police leaks say HP’s dad hit her mom in the face after an argument involving Mom’s “disrespectful” behavior at the party, leaving a visible bruise that led to Dad’s arrest after the po-po showed up. I’m not sure what could be more disrespectful than hitting your wife in the face, but I hope Hayden is safe and sound recovering from the incident.
