Looking gorgeous in green on her way to tape an appearance on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” Kate Hudson took a few minutes to appreciate her fans outside the studio on January 5 in NYC. Kate started the first full week of the new year with a fun filled day of promotional duties for her new funny flick, Bride Wars, out in theaters today. Wearing a stunning sequined dress with a mosaic pattern (similar to LaROK’s Serengeti Tunic in Black Zebra or stick to the green hue with Ingwa Melero’s Elena Mini Dress in Green Combo), Kate flaunted her toned bod in the backless mini and polished her look with opaque black tights and funky gold and black heels. Accenting the dress with chunky green earrings (try Kuo Ting’s elegant Hammered Tear Drop Earrings with Emeralds in Gold) and a sleek black enamel ring (step it up with CC Skye’s Power Ring in Gold), Kate played up the green hue with a matching shadow on her lids and let her blonde locks cascade in voluminous waves. I think this look is absolutely stunning on her – any thoughts? Earlier in the day, Kate met up with her co-star, Anne Hathaway, for a dressed down photo shoot at an NYC office building. Kate’s appearance on the “Late Show” marked the beginning of a long week for her, returning to LA for the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday and her son Ryder’s 5th birthday. Kate caused a little commotion when she arrived late for the ceremony and missed her spot to present, but luckily Ellen DeGeneres was on hand to fill in for her! Insisting that traffic was to blame for her tardiness, Kate explained her day: "I went home and was cooking for the birthday party. I made sure I got the cake, and I got dressed up and I came here. It took me an hour and a half!" I’m curious as to why she agreed to present the same day as her little boy’s birthday bash! Have any of you had to juggle family obligations with work this holiday season?

The makeup doesn't quite match. I would prefer it if she had her hair back in a bun to better display the back. Love the dress, tights, shoes. The earrings match well, but the outfit is already so busy that she should have passedguest on Jan 12 2009 @ 12:05 PM
