Looking ravishing as always, Kate Hudson pairs her LBD with an LBC on her way in to tape an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on December 10 in NYC. Going for a very classy, sophisticated look, Kate started with a long sleeved little black dress with sequined detail (try Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Chain Neck Dress in Black or go a little more playful with Voom by Joy Han's Sammy Hooded Long Sleeve Dress in Black) covered up with a chic Jasmine di Milo black cashmere coat (stay warm in Trovata's Cardigan Dress in Black, which can be worn solo or over an LBD). Sexy studded Brian Atwood Wagner rivet suede peeptoes (check out Elaine Turner's Valerie Patent Peep Toe in Black) and her trademark golden waves complete this irresistible ensemble. Kate was a doll and happily signed autographs for fans outside before heading in to be badgered by Letterman about her relationship with A Rod – what else? As usual Kate was tight lipped about their romance, and kept the same stance when she appeared on "Oprah" with the rest of the Nine cast the following week. You'd think a girl in love would have a little bit more to say than "He's a nice guy," but apparently there was good reason for all of the secrecy! US Weekly is reporting Kate and A Rod called it quits earlier this month, even after he was spotted escorting her to promo events in London on Dec 2 and 3. After Kate got back to LA following the NYC premiere, A Rod was spotted spending the weekend partying in Miami while Kate threw her annual holiday bash for family and friends – bumped up from her usual Halloween soiree that was postponed due to the World Series in October. Sad to see it over so soon, but are any of you really surprised Kate has moved on? In the January issue of Harper's Bazaar, which Kate covered, she explained her no-holds-barred approach to dating perpetuated by her mama, Goldie Hawn: "My mother never shook anybody's hand. She has kissed and hugged her way through life. [My family had] an open-door policy. We were never afraid to bring the wrong person home. They were always open to our failures." Unfortunately it looks like Kate's list of failures is getting longer this year… hopefully her dynamic performance in Nine is enough to turn things around for her!
