And the 2008 Teen Choice Award posts begin! Leighton Meester struck her best poses on the blue carpet of the 2008 TCA's at the Gibson Amphitheater yesterday, August 3, in Los Angeles. Wearing a bright green, Grecian-inspired frock (I'm loving the similarly vibrant color of Karina Grimaldi's Karolina Halter Mini Dress in Kelly Green and Juana Silk Mini Dress in Kelly Green) with a skinny belt (check out Pellemelle's The Skinny Belt in Brown) and black and silver platforms, Meester accessorized with statement pieces of jewelry, including an oversized ring and silver bangle (like Jessica Elliot's Cut Out Bangle in Nickel Finish). Stunning! "Gossip Girl" ended up taking home the surfboard for Best TV Drama, along with multiple other awards for stars Blake Lively, Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick. While the show's racy new ads are (of course) sparking controversy, and Leighton and Blake are speaking out about the show in general. Leighton says, "It’s mature, but I feel like it speaks to kids and it doesn’t white wash anything," and Blake added in, "Don’t do what we do. But we’re not preaching to anyone. And anybody that watches the show can tell that it’s not supposed to be real life. It’s very much a heightened reality." What do you think- is "GG" too mature for younger audiences?
