FUTURE AVENGER?

Arriving at the Critic’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica in a stunning pool blue dress, Eva Longoria Parker did not disappoint as she walked the red carpet on January 8. In contrast to Kristen Bell’s look for the same ceremony, Eva got the dress right and everything else wrong. Love the low-backed frock with the embellished gold collar and band under the bust (check out Gold Hawk’s Tribal Queen Shift Dress in Soft Praline or LaROK’s Studded Dream Dress in Eden), but what is going on with the greasy bangs and nude granny heels? With a different dress, maybe the shoes would work, but this frock definitely calls for something a little more exciting. Same goes for the yellow clutch – I like the idea of the contrasting color, but the shape doesn’t match the style of the dress at all (try the similar hue of Posse New York’s Natalie Clutch in Aqua to complement the look). Especially now that Eva has her extensions back, I would’ve expected something more exciting in the hair department as well, and less shiny make-up would’ve improved her complexion considerably. Do any of you disagree? In terms of her career, Eva recently squashed rumors that she will appear in the film adaptation of The Avengers. Over the summer, Eva was spotted leaving a production office with a stack of old Avengers comic books, sparking gossip that she was researching her next role. Despite the evidence, Eva firmly denied she is involved in the project, although she said she’d love to play a role in the film if one is offered. What do you think – is she covering up a leaked rumor or just catching up on a little light reading?
