Bravely attending Variety's 1st Annual Power of Women Luncheon with hardly a dab of make-up, Olivia Wilde arrives at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA on Sept 24. When I first saw these pics, I thought she looked washed out, then I realized I don't know a single person with skin clear enough to go this bare in public. Kudos to her for putting on a brave face! Olivia opted for a printed Kate Moss for Topshop dress with petal cut-outs on the neckline (check out Pink Polka Dot's fun floral Gold Retro Mini Dress in Gold or LaROK's Rain Mini in Purple), keeping her accessories as simple as her hair and make-up with nude pumps and an ivory buckled clutch (try Antoinette Lee's Vita Clutch in Stone). When I first saw the dress I wasn't that crazy about it – polka dots are not my thing – but up close you can see they are small floral dots, and I like the graduated detail at the top. What do you think of O's lunch time attire? At the swanky luncheon celebrating Hollywood's most philanthropical ladies, Olivia spoke to the press (again, showing off that flawless skin!) about who she finds most inspirational: "When [Angelina Jolie] goes on CNN and talks about refugees in Pakistan and the Swat Valley that's the first time millions of people have even heard about the Swat Valley, so she definitely uses her celebrity responsibly. I definitely look up to her." Olivia's already confessed her "girl crush" on Angie to Women's Health magazine, dishing in her recent interview about meeting the iconic beauty at last year's Golden Globes: "I was sitting at her knees and talking about my parents and how dangerous being a journalist in a foreign country can be. Later, I was like, ‘Brad who?’ I didn’t even realize he was leaning over her shoulder the whole time. Everyone around her just disappeared." Sounds like someone has a very serious crush!

simple & subtly interesting dress.
she's got really clear skin, so brave to go this bare.guest on Oct 01 2009 @ 05:48 PM
This bare? It isn't really a racy dress. I hate the print, but love the shapeguest on Oct 01 2009 @ 07:14 PM
Bare with the makeup not dress... it bugs me that there are 2 cut outs and not 3. The print doesn't photograph well but it's nice for a lunch with grandma lolguest on Oct 01 2009 @ 10:30 PM
I didn't even notice. She has on regular makeup and not red carpet makeup but she looks like herself either wayguest on Oct 02 2009 @ 12:38 AM

No one is saying you have to go to christina aguilera levels but surely there is a happy medium!!!guest on Oct 02 2009 @ 05:58 AM
@5:58 wow you have an intensly strong opinion on make-up. i think she looks just as good with-as withoutguest on Oct 02 2009 @ 06:51 AM
I think she could have used a liiittle bit of makeup, but it is not that bad. And 5:58 you're so right, no need to go all christina aguilera, hahahaguest on Oct 02 2009 @ 07:19 AM

she needs makeup. Come on, live it up a little on the red carpet. she looks drained here. Maybe even just a slash of red lipstick or something.guest on Jan 29 2010 @ 10:08 AM
