After a quick jaunt in LA after her inauguration activities in DC, Beyonce Knowles caught a departing flight from the Los Angeles International Airport on January 25. She might be famous, but that doesn’t mean she’s subject to special treatment: airport security made her take off her jacket and heels, and a female officer patted her down after she walked through the metal detector. Not something you see everyday! For her flight, presumably back to NYC, where she and Jay-Z cohabitate, B started with a loose graphic tee (try Signorelli’s Autism Speaks Long Sleeve Tee with Rhinestones in White), a comfy leather jacket (check out 3J Workshop’s Rock n’ Rose Leather Blazer in Charcoal), and dark skinny jeans (like Hudson’s Mimi Super Skinny 12 ¼ Leg Jean in Noir), carrying an oversized purple tote (check out the similar shade of Rocco e Dante’s Dr Phil Doctors Bag in Purple) and flaunting new super, super straight locks. I’m loving her gray suede heels with python trim – so true to her style! What do you think of B’s high flying ‘fit? It seems like everyone is mouthing off these days about the constant scrutiny female celebs receive about their weight, and Beyonce is no stranger to criticism. A few weeks ago Anne Hathaway mentioned B’s curvy figure while venting to the press: “I don’t think it’s just Hollywood that gives out that message [that women have to be thin]. As a society we put out these unrealistic body images to young women. But I’m a normal shape and Scarlett Johansson is not a skinny, skinny girl. Beyonce Knowles looks after herself and has a beautiful body.” B is known for her bootylicious figure and is a great role model for girls to look up to, but do you think we’ve all gotten a little too body obsessed these days?

I'm not a fan of the bag personally, but the rest of the outfit is cute and casual.guest on Feb 13 2009 @ 05:57 PM
I like it. Wish she would dye the hair a few shades darker. I agree with the first comment. The bad doesn't really go.guest on Feb 13 2009 @ 07:08 PM
