Getting glammed up for a day of sushi and shopping in NYC, Jessica Simpson looks happy to be back from filming The Price of Beauty in Morocco as she steps out of her hotel on October 13. Jess first headed out in a stunning Stella McCartney coat with a bow tie waist (try Ingwa Melero's luxurious Velvet Coat with Frog Closure in Black), but when she arrived at the 16th Annual QVC/FFaNY Shoes on Sale event at the Lincoln Center she shed the second layer to reveal a black and silver sequined sheath dress by Dolce & Gabbana (do the sequined look with LaROK's Sequined Rolly Dress in Black or stick to black and silver with Tricia Fix's Mary Silk Chiffon Mini Dress in Black). I think the sleeveless crew neck style does nothing for her arms or chest, but I like the wrap around belt mimicking the one on her coat. What are your opinions, readers? Jess wore Debista 2 peep-toes from her own Jessica Simpson Collection line, and completed the look with a black barrel clutch (like Elaine Turner's Allie Clutch in Black) and a sparkly cocktail ring. What are your thoughts on this look – I hope some of you have opinions on something besides her weight! It seems like no one can keep themselves from poking fun at Jessica's figure, and she was subject to national scrutiny last weekend when FOX aired a Burger King sponsored commercial during the NFL pre-game show on Sunday. The animated ad slams both Jessica's weight and ex-beau Tony Romo, as a caricature of Dallas Cowboys start Marion Barber jokes with boys in the locker room, "Man, I still can't believe Tony [Romo] dated Jessica Simpson, even AFTER she blew up bigger than Flozell Adams!", to which another player responds, "Unlike Tony, at least Jessica comes up big when it counts!" Fox and Burger King have both apologized for their poor show of judgment, but the story made front-page news on CNN.com as the tired issue of Jessica's weight comes to the forefront AGAIN. Is it just me or are you getting tired of hearing about this? Being a lady, Jess responded gracefully with a Tweet: "I will never understand why people attack for a laugh. Own your beauty and don't listen to the judgement."

I agree with you, the top part of the dress could have a more flattering cut, but she looks good, healthy, and confident.guest on Oct 17 2009 @ 01:56 PM
I am so sick of people calling this woman fat. Its just becoming a trend to make fun of her. No one can believe she is actually fat.guest on Oct 17 2009 @ 06:52 PM
Healthy and beautiful. Not toned and not in perfect shape, but nothing at all wrong.. I don't like so much black on her though. Girl needs some colorguest on Oct 17 2009 @ 11:53 PM

she looks so pretty in the pic on the right; I agree though with 1:56 and CC on the top part of the dress. Also, her hair looks a little toasted :s but overall looking good and healthyguest on Oct 18 2009 @ 10:46 AM
