FOOTBALL TO THE FACE

Getting her day off to a java jumpstart, Hayden Panettiere was spotted leaving Starbucks at the Beverly Glen Mall in Los Angeles on February 3. HP hurried back to her car to carry on with her day as fast at her lace-up wedge boots could carry her – what are your thoughts on this trend, have you indulged in a pair for yourself? Hayden put her casual look together with a slouchy pullover sweater (like Free People's Whispa Pullover in Natural), smoky grey skinny jeans (try Genetic Denim's The Shane in Silver) and the aforementioned boots (check out Farylrobin's Molly Lace Up Military Boot in Wet Stone for a more casual option). Hayden completed the look with a long pendant necklace (try Robyn Rhodes' Dolly Long Necklace in Silver) and her wallet tucked under her arm (check out Gorjana's Thompson Pouchette in Coral, petite enough to fit in your purse but with a little extra room for lipgloss and keys). What are your thoughts on Hayden's casual look, does it work for her? I'm not crazy about how short her hair is when pulled back in a pony, in the photo on the right it almost looks like she's completely cut it off and it accentuates her features in a masculine way. Not exactly the cutest look! One thing short hair is good for though is playing sports, and having her cut worked out well this weekend when Hayden headed to Dallas to take part in the pre-Super Bowl festivities. On Saturday HP played in the Celebrity Beach Bowl game of flag football, where she won the title of "Most Inspirational Player." Hayden chatted excitedly with People about her big win: "I won an award – for football! It has to be because the ball hit me in the face." Ouch!
