I was so blown away by Emma Watson's fabulous red carpet looks during the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince publicity tour that I almost missed her appearance on CBS's "The Early Show" in NYC on July 9. I just can't get enough of her fabulous style! Over the past few month's she's proved she can be sophisticated, sexy, youthful, and more – whatever the occasion demands, she's lived up to it with maturity beyond her 19 years. Appearing on "The Early Show" the morning of the big HP premiere, Emma chose to wear her heart on her sleeve – ahem, purse – with a perfectly fitting Chanel Union Jack bag and fiery red Saloni Alexia tiered dress (stand out in Catherine Maladrino's Belted Dress in Grenadine or try Joie's fun printed More Than This Dress in Admiral). Showing the Lagerfeld love with sexy Chanel Resort 2009 cage boots, Emma wore a simple black charm necklace (reminds me of the shape of Castaway's Black Onyx Skull Necklace in Jewelry) and wore her hair in tousled just-rolled-out-of-bed waves. Love that it all works together without looking too matchy-matchy, and the strappy boots are the perfect touch. At first the dress seemed plain to me, until I noticed the chiffon sleeves and oversized buttons on the cuff – it's very British and suits her perfectly, don't you think? Since Daniel Radcliffe let Emma's college choice (Brown University) slip during the Harry Potter photo call, Emma has been fielding all sorts of questions about what her college experience will be like. Defending her decision to keep things quiet, Emma spoke out: “I am looking forward to being a normal teenager and want a normal experience for a bit. Just a little bit of normality for a while would be nice. If I’m going to do this experience, I’m going to do it properly and going to do it like everyone else.” Is that a bit of smarty-pants Hermoine rubbing off on her? Apparently, Emma wants to be so normal so badly she's actually choosing to live in the dorms when she could easily afford to buy her own luxury apartment nearby. Do you think she'll change her mind?
