Fresh faced after a week in Prague, Katie Holmes arrives at the 2nd Annual Power of Women Luncheon hosted by Variety at the Beverly Hills Hotel on September 30 in Beverly Hills, CA. For the empowering event Katie got dolled up in a colorful Louis Vuitton floral frock (check out the similar prints of Wish's Chromatic Dress in Print or Shumaq's Isa Dress in Black) paired with sheer black stockings and black Casadei strappy pumps (skip the tights and go with an open toed style like Samanta's Zon Heel in Black). As a final touch Katie carried a classic Chanel clutch (take it to the next level and embrace fall's print mixing trend with Inge Christopher's Mika Honey Leather Clutch in Black/Multi), polishing off the look with a berry stained pout and piecey side bangs. What do you think of Katie's style here, is it working for her? I like the edginess the asymmetrical hem brings to the print, but with such a high neck this looks a little dowdy on her tall frame. Would you have modified this style in any way? As I mentioned previously, Katie has just returned home to LA after spending a week in Prague with hubby Tom Cruise scouting locations for the fourth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise. Tom and Katie brought Suri along with them for some sightseeing while Tom met with director Brad Bird to check out possible sets for the action packed flick. While some actresses might not be so happy about their husband gearing up for so many risky stunts, Katie recently chatted with Marie Claire about how happy she is being married to her man: “It’s really exciting. Tom’s as big at home as he is on the movie screen. He’s so passionate about everything, whatever he’s doing. When he’s being a dad, he’s right there; he’s giving it his all. It’s inspiring and it’s fun. It’s an amazing life, but we always remind ourselves of how incredibly lucky we are.” That's one way to put it!
