FASHION'S DAY OUT

Getting ready for a jam packed weekend, Taylor Swift heads out to do a little shopping on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles on September 10. Rather than battle the crowds for Fashion's Night Out festivities later that evening, T had her own retail fun during the day at Kitson boutique after lunching at Carter's Deli with pals. Heading out in a fun, quirky look, Taylor paired a printed skirt (I'm loving Allison Parris' ballerina inspired Tulle Mini Skirt in Olive) with a graphic tee belted at the waist (try topping Chaser LA's Live MC5 Boxy Tee in White with Motif 56's Port Megan Slim Belt in Chocolate), revealing a peek-a-boo bandeau bra underneath. T polished off the look with a classy blazer (I love Splendid's casual twist on the trend, the Charcoal Pencil Jacket in Charcoal) and black and tan saddle shoes, carrying a tan messenger bag over her shoulder with a simple white pendant (like Amy DiGregorio's Park Street Necklace in Gold) finishing the look. What do you think of Taylor's fun and fashionable look, do you like the way she put together the vintage-meets-classic style? I think this might have been cuter with heels, but I really like the way the jacket ties back to her two-toned footwear. Thoughts? Taylor returned to LA for the weekend to prep for the 2010 MTV VMA's, which as everyone remembers was a pretty dramatic event for T last year when Kanye West jumped on stage to ruin her moment. After Kanye's weeks of publicizing his desire to make things right at this year's ceremony, it was Taylor who put an end to the drama with a soulful new song titled "Innocent."
