Ashley Olsen made a stunningly chic and sophisticated appearance at Calvin Klein's 40th Anniversary Celebration in NYC on September 7, looking every inch fresh and age appropriate. Wearing a black and white dress (Tricia Fix makes two similar frocks, the Siva Cocktail Dress in White and the Rene Mini Dress in Black, both of which give off the Ashley Olsen slash CK vibe) with black patent t-strap stilettos, Ash accessorized with a gold watch and matching bracelet (check out Accessories & Beyond's Cord Bracelet with Charms in Gold) and a cream colored bag (like Posse New York's Catalina Bag in Tan Pearl). I'm also loving the slightly mussed hair with the nude lip and dark eye- she definitely knocked it out of the park with this one. Bananas. In other Olsen news, it seems that Ash and MK are possibly feuding over their fashion line, The Row. In Touch Weekly reports, "Ashley really wants to be a respected businesswoman and be taken seriously. MK does too, but she hasn’t been willing to give up her lifestyle and act like an adult for their job. So Ashley is now distancing her twin from the couture line. She reportedly decided MK should not be involved with The Row and has asked her to step back from her current responsibilities until she has her personal life together." The source adds that Mary-Kate will focus on Elizabeth and James, which "is tough because The Row was so much of Mary-Kate’s idea. Mary-Kate has a unique fashion sense." What are your thoughts on this alleged rift? On a side note, The Row is starting the process of their first men's collection. Wahoo for me!

In Style just did a piece on MK and she said Elizabeth and James is her thing bc it has pieces based on things already in her wardrobe. She even says that The Row is Ashley's thing...so I don't think the feud is real, at all. People just want to make stuff up!guest on Sep 22 2008 @ 10:34 PM
