Eva Longoria couldn’t resist a little taste of New York Fashion Week. Catching Matthew Williamson’s Fall 2009 ready-to-wear collection on February 17, Eva attended wearing a colorful patterned jacket (tone it down with Ecoganik’s Double Bib Trench Coat in Camel) over a latte colored leather skirt (try the Proportion of Blu’s Diciannove Asymmetrical Skirt in Mauve) and a classic white tank (Gold Hawk’s Tribal Eyelet Camisole in White Essence would be cute). I love her gold t-strap heels, simple gold earrings (like Lisa K’s Tea Leaf Earrings in Gold) and funky bronze square clutch (try Carla Mancini’s Postman Clutch in Tan) – the whole look is very 70’s and I dig it. It’s perfect for spring and perfect for sitting front row at Williamson’s eagerly anticipated show. Eva has taken a lot of hits for the “grandma” like jacket – how do you feel about the color and the embroidery? Personally I think it adds a fun colorful vibe to the ‘fit, even if it is a little obnoxious. But hey, it’s Fashion Week, when else is it acceptable to take chances for the sake of fashion? The coat actually looks remarkably similar to the metallic jacquard used in a few of Matthew Williamson’s runway looks – let’s just say Eva was paying tribute. Eva also attended Diane von Furstenberg’s show and a few promo parties before heading back to LA. Both Eva and Victoria Beckham landed at LAX the following day and stopped to gab a bit while the paps tried to take pictures inside the airport. It’s a busy life, but it’s worth it for the wardrobe!
