ERRATIC BEHAVIOR?

Taking her mind off her marriage problems, Ashlee Simpson has a fun night out at the Giuseppe Zanotti Beverly Hills Store Opening afterparty held at Trousdale nightclub in Hollywood in February 4. Ash channeled a casual rocker vibe for her night out, pairing a black graphic tee (check out Rebel Yell's Pretty Rock Tee in Heather Grey) with dark charcoal skinny jeans (Level 99's Skinny Jegging in Collection are a great alternative) topped with an electric blue plaid jacket (try HellOh's Crinkle Jacket in Blue/Yellow for spring). Ashlee added a pop of color with a cherry red Chanel handbag (try it for yourself with Julie K's Renee in Red) and a pair of black suede boots completing the look (tread comfortably in Farylrobin's Mandy Tall Lug Sole Boot in Black). What do you think of Ashlee's look here? I'm not loving the super blonde hair and heavy black eyeliner together, it's too punk for my tastes. Do you think she can pull it off? As you may have read, Ash filed for divorce from Pete Wentz this past Wednesday, citing "irreconcilable differences" to end their three year marriage. A rep for Ashlee shared a brief statement with the media about their standing: “After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority." Sounds amicable enough, and a source close to the couple said the same thing to People magazine. Enter Pete's camp – according to his friends at TMZ, he is "getting divorced against his will," and tried to talk Ashlee into sticking it out with him. Obviously she moved ahead, asking for primary physical custody of their two-year-old son Bronx in light of Pete's "erratic behavior" that she found unbearable. Pete is bipolar and has attempted suicide before, so I can understand that there might be more going on here than we've heard so far. Regardless of what happens I can only wish the best for the both of them. I hope this announcement brings an end to the decent cluster of celebrity divorces – too much heartbreak this close to Valentine's Day!
