DOWN FOR THE CAUSE

Continuing her heroic charity work, Kristen Bell arrived at the YouthAids luncheon in Los Angeles on Sept 19 looking quite the philanthropist in her angelic white frock. I have to say, I love KB’s loose braided updo, and it looks adorable with her simple dress! To nab her look, start with a chic white dress (like Gold Hawk’s Straight Across Dress in White Essence), with a luminescent gold bangle (try Jessica Elliot’s mod take on the trend, the Cut Out Bangle in Gold Finish), a petite envelope clutch (check out Posse New York’s Sama Clutch in White Pearl), and dainty gold hoops (try Rebecca Norman’s dainty Small Oval Hoop Earrings in Vermeil). The only part of Kristen’s look I’m not a fan of? Black nail polish with strappy black heels. Way too much contrast for such an elegant chiffon dress – wouldn’t you agree? After her brief sojourn in Hawaii with her man, KB returned to the states just in time to promote her return to the boob tube, starting with her sunny appearance on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Sept 18. K-Bell looked adorable in a bright yellow dress while she gabbed with Jay about their shared Scottish heritage – including her self proclaimed “thrifty” tendencies! Among the many projects on her plate, it looks like a Veronica Mars movie is truly in the works, with Joel Silver stepping in as producer and Rob Thomas reportedly doing the writing. If you watched the tv show, they’ve already decided to scrap the show’s ending with Veronica heading off to the FBI and start fresh with a revised plot. Good idea considering a teen joining the FBI is not that realistic… but a Nancy-Drew-type sleuth on a college campus? Now that’s more likely!
