The beautiful and talented Kate Winslet made an appearance at the 2009 Oscar Nominees Luncheon held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on January 2, opting for basic black and gold for her outfit. In a classic, chic LBD (for more casual options, check out Karina Grimaldi's Ruffle Silk Mini Dress in Black, Ella Moss' James Flare Sleeve Dress in Black, or, if you're feeling a little snazzier, Smitten's Capsleeve Sequins Dress in Black), Kate kept her accessories simple, wearing black heels, gold bracelets (pile on Rachel Leigh's Sweet Tooth Bangle in Gold) and a beautiful gold necklace (very similar to Robyn Rhodes' Grace Necklace in Gold). What do you think of Kate's look here? I think she looks classy and elegant - as always! At the luncheon, Kate chatted about her children's opinion of her role in The Reader, saying, "They got mightily fed up with me reading bedtime stories with a German accent! They said, ‘Mum, just be plain. Don’t do any funny stuff like voices. Just be regular!’" She continued, "I had to say, ‘But, I’m not regular and I’m never going to be regular. When you’re a teenager you’re going to know that it’s cool!’" I love it!
