Another day, another red carpet event! Olivia Palermo seems to be set on hitting up every event at every fashion week, as she attended the couture shows in Paris and is now in Berlin, Germany for the Mercedes Benz Spring 2011 presentations. Olivia showed up for Michalsky’s Style Nite Event on July 9, and happily posed for photographers with boyfriend Johannes Huebl before posing for a few solo shots. For her ensemble, Olivia paired a Michalsky polka dot chiffon dress (get a similar look with Single Dress' Asymmetric Long Sleeve Dress in Black/Nude) with Chrissie Morris for Michalsky snakeskin sandals and a Sondra Roberts pink clutch (get a pop of pink with Linea Pelle Collection's Dylan Disco Clutch in Pink). Pretty accessories like a knotted rope belt, a gold cuff (like Anna Beck's Java Studded Medium Cuff in Gold) and a typical Olivia statement necklace (check out Amrita Singh's Eva Necklace in Gold/Gunmetal) completed her look. What are your thoughts on Olivia's look here, one of her best or just so-so? Olivia has become pretty well known for her keen sense of style, and is dishing about everything from her favorite designers to what she thinks of her style. Of her favorite designer, she says: "I love everyone such as classic designers Valentino and Diane von Furstenberg for their consistent look over the years, while I find inspiration in the modernity of younger designers such as Marchesa and Frank Tell." How she defines her style? She says, "Street meets chic: it's all about wearing clothes that look good and you wear. I think so many people get caught up in the trends and forget that they are wearing the clothes, not the other way around." Very true!

I'm not really a fan of Olivia as a person. She does wear nice clothes though, but I think she needs to mix it up a little sometimes. She often seems too preened.guest on Jul 13 2010 @ 08:10 PM
