DI'S INGLOURIOUS GLORY

It may be the middle of winter, but white was the hue of the night at the 2010 People's Choice Awards on January 6. Diane Kruger worked the red carpet at the Nokia Theatre in downtown LA wearing a curve hugging Herve Leger ruched sheath dress with a scoop back and edgy silver chain accents (show off your curves in Jenny Han's Bussel Dress in White or The Battalion's V Neck Studded Tunic Dress in White). In classic Chanel flair, Diane paired her white frock with all black accessories, including sexy gladiator heels, a studded black clutch (Trace's Large Riveted in Black is a great versatile option) and black wrap bracelets (like Linea Pelle's Wide Multi Strand Cuffs in Black). Loose waves and natural make up complete Di's flawless 'fit. Do you think it's a good look for her, especially breaking the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule? Besides DK and Taylor Swift, another notable star walking the red carpet in white was Olivia Wilde, who was on hand to accept the award for Favorite TV Drama for "House." Diane made a special trip from Vancouver to LA to represent Inglourious Basterds at the awards show, after filming a cameo in beau Joshua Jackson's series "Fringe." Di is also on the cover of V magazine this month, talking about how much she enjoying filming Inglourious: “The minute [my character Bridget] speaks, she has to demand attention, and when she speaks, nobody else does. There’s a certain energy to her that I don’t think I naturally have, and it was very hard for me to bring that to set every day.” Obviously not too hard, as DK pulled it off with flying colors! She continued, “When I first got the script, I couldn’t believe that after all these years of trying to get rid of my German accent to play American roles, finally along came a part that was not only a great part, but also perfect for me.” Incredibly perfect it seems, as DK was part of the dynamic cast that helped earn the Favorite Independent Movie award at the PSA's.
