Word has been spreading lately that Jessica Simpson has been pretty down in the dumps. Now that her divorce has settled and her album flopped, and with little sis Ashlee slowly eclipsing her in both the looks and career departments, Jessica has been a little crabby lately, sources tell us. Jess did attend opening night of Ashlee's debut performance in the musical "Chicago" in London, as well as the afterparty, where she was heard saying "I don't want to be here, why won't people just leave me alone?". Well excuse me! I know the jealously monster is rearing it's ugly lil mug because Ash beat you to the stage, but the least Jess could do is be supportive! Leave it to good old Papa Joe Simpson to go and make things worse by telling The Mirror that "Jess is quite down at the moment. She's not comfortable talking to people as she's quite depressed and we're walking on eggshells." Good one Dad! Well buck up Jess, I can think of many people who have it a lot worse than you!
