Hot mama Katie Holmes spends a day with Suri in NYC on Easter Sunday, April 4. Tom was out of the picture for the weekend as his two leading ladies had some bonding time together, running errands on Saturday and catching the "DanceBrazil" show at the Joyce Theatre on Sunday afternoon. For their outing K put together a sassy 'fit, tucking a printed cami (like Ella Moss' Ginger Drop Top in Dime) into frayed cut-offs (try James Jeans' Shorty in US Vintage) over black tights and some seriously fierce peeptoe booties (love the texture of Coye Nokes' Joan Bootie in Black Embossed Python). Katie layered up in a classy black blazer (similar to Blaque Label's 3/4 Sleeve Jacket in Black) and a colorful scarf (try Elizabeth Gillett's Summer Scarf in Blue), pulling her hair back in a messy bun as she made her way to the car with a scantily dressed Suri. Seriously, how is she not freezing in a short sleeveless dress when mom is bundled up in a jacket and tights? I guess this is a mystery Suri will have to solve for us some day. After the show, the girls went to City Bakery for some sweet eats for dessert. Yum! K has been spotted in the city spending a lot of quality time with her little girl over the past week or two, having recently returned to the Big Apple to shoot Son of No One with Channing Tatum. In the flick, Katie plays wife to a young cop whose career is threatened when he's assigned to the precinct of his childhood neighborhood and a secret of the past jeopardizes his future. Sounds juicy!
