Showing off her Splendid style, Emily Blunt grabs java to go with very pregnant pal Amy Adams in Venice, CA on March 4. I'd say this sighting definitely puts those rivalry rumors to rest between these two happy young stars! Em dressed casually for her afternoon outing, opting for one of her new Splendid purchases she picked up on her shopping trip earlier in the week (check out Splendid's very similar Bermuda Stripe Tee in Indigo on CoutureCandy). Emily paired her striped tee with grey skinny jeggings (check out Chasely's Denim Legging in Grey), taupe brogues with the laces removed, and her fav black tote of the moment (my current obsession in Tylie Malibu's Jett Bag in Black). What do you think of Em's casual 'fit? After earning an Oscar nom for Best Costume Design, Emily was recently asked about how she liked dressing up her role in The Young Victoria. She said point blank: "It was hell. When you're playing a character like Queen Victoria it helps to have a visionary like Sandy Powell. She corset-ed me within an inch of my life. Thank God I did learn to work the corset. She said, 'The shape needs to be right.' I said, 'Well, I can't breathe, Sandy.' And she said, 'I don't care.'" Brutal! Looks like Em's patience and Sandy's insistence paid off, as she won her third Oscar at Sunday's ceremony. Kudos to Em for working it out!
