CHANEL EARRING OBSESSED

Getting cozy for fall, Ashlee Simpson Wentz attends a launch party for the new Solstice Sunglasses website in Hollywood on November 16. Looks like Ash made off with a sleek new pair of sunnies, taking photos at the event posing in her new shades. Ashlee arrived at the event in a striped oversized sweater (layer up in Splendid's Striped Short Sleeve Cardigan in Charcoal or Splendid's Twisted Stripe Jacket in Black) over J Brand peg leg skinnies with ankle zippers (check out Denim of Virtue's X-Fit Legging Jean with Zipper in Romance) and a pair of platform pumps (add a polished touch with Coye Nokes' Jacqueline Pump in Black Crocco). Ash completed the look with a pair of oversized Chanel logo earrings to flatter her new pixie cut (polish off your fall look with Amrita Singh's Kate Earring in Clear), making this the third occasion she's donning the iconic Chanel jewelry in the past month – first while out shopping with Pete and Bronx, then attending the Boutiques.com launch party the next evening. Wonder what her obsession is about – just a phase or do you think she's working out some sort of deal with Chanel? Ash doesn't exactly embody the typical Chanel spokeswoman, but with her new retro hairstyle I can see her taking on the iconic black and white. When asked about her latest hair transformation, Ashlee gave the full scoop: “I was definitely going for an Edie Sedgwick look. My friend Andy LeCompte cut my hair and I feel so free now.
