CARRIE: THE TEEN YEARS

Sarah Jessica Parker was spotted strolling the streets of New York City, chatting away on her cell phone on September 10, after walking son James to school. Looking casual cool in a slouchy pair of pinstripe denim (check out Tag Jeans' Bootcut Trouser in Silver) paired with a violet tee (like Ecoganik's Jersey Love Top in Orchid) and vintage denim vest with a large "BARACK N ROLL" patch on the back, SJP always manages to rock it, even when she trows an outfit together quickly. She finished off her look with an over-the-shoulder canvas bag, oversized sunglasses (check out JeeVice Optics' Egoist Sunglasses in Black), and brown leather sandals (like Matiko Footwear's Karla Sandal in Brown). If you are a "SATC" fan, you might be excited to learn that the word is spreading that author Candace Bushnell is writing a prequel to "Sex," that will take place during Carrie's high school years! Candace wants readers to have a peek into Carrie's adolescence which turned her into who she was in the original book and on the show. Bushnell says, "I've always been interested in exploring Carrie's teenage years. Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd- she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene." Very interesting! Harper Collins, the publishers of the book, say, "Teenagers are rabid fans of the 'Sex and the City' book and show. I can't wait to see what happens when Candace turns her sharp eye for social commentary to the other competitive jungle that is high school." What do you think- will you be reading??
