cammie and john mayer an item?

Cameron Diaz was seen leaving the Neil George Salon on August 18 looking radiant and blonde as ever, and actually smiling for the lingering paparazzi, which is a rare treat. Wearing a denim mini skirt (like True Religion's hot new Val Skirt in Dusty Road) with a casual white tank (Laura Dahl's Waikiki Top in White has a little extra sparkle that dresses the tank up), Van Cleef and Arpel's enamel necklace and a big metallic bag, Cameron definitely looked adorable, there's no question about it. What there have been questions about lately, however, are whether or not Cam and John Mayer are a hot new item. US Weekly is reporting that the two have been getting pretty close lately, and have been spotted in several places in New York lately. Sources tell the mag that "they went out to several places... it was the two of them, getting to know each other, out on the town. This was technically not their first time hanging out... they've hung out together with friends before. But this was the first time together like this. It's new and developing... but they really like each other and it went well." Pure gossip or a new relationship in the works? I guess time will tell- however, I'm sure Jessica Simpson (whom I just recently mentioned in the blog) is not too pleased the John has moved on so fast after their early summer split. I don't know how I feel about Cam with John though, I feel like whenever he dates someone they just get sort of blah!
