If anyone can make hot pink haute it's Diane Kruger, and the lovely leading lady was spotted at the Palme d'Or Award Closing Ceremony at the Palais des Festivals culminating the 2010 Cannes Film Festival on May 23 in Cannes, France. Di is a total knockout in her Jason Wu fuchsia frock (brighten up in Rachel Pally's Long Cami Dress in Rosy or Sue Wong's Exotic Beaded Ombre Gown in Magenta/Red for your summer special occasions), which makes anything I dressed my Barbie in as a child pale in comparison to the rosy hue. Di complemented the dress with well chosen diamond jewelry, including a sparkling star necklace (try Lois Hill's Scroll Disk in Silver) and dazzling bracelet (let the light shine off Amrita Singh's Tilla Bangle in Silver). Lastly Diane carried a satin Roger Vivier clutch (opt for Whiting & Davis' Classic Facile Clutch, which comes in both demure Black and fiery Magenta). What are your thoughts on Di's candy coated look, does she nail it or is it a little too much? Diane has been happily spending her time in the south of France, first relaxing for a few days with her beau Joshua Jackson before hitting up the Cannes Film Festival festivities solo. While abroad it was announced Di will be the new face of Calvin Klein, appearing in their new fragrance ads for "Beauty." Diane gave some thoughtful soundbytes for the new perfume, explaining her product endorsement to WWD: “The first time [Calvin Klein reps and I] met, they gave me a sample of the fragrance. If you want to endorse something as an actress, you want to make sure you that what you’re actually endorsing is something you can sit there and with a straight face and [represent.]” Glad to hear Di won't stand behind a product she's not committed to!
