BUFFY: PHILOSOPHICAL HERO?

Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted on the set of her upcoming film, eronika Decides To Die, in NYC on June 10, waving to fans and looking simply irresistable. SMG kept it simple with her outfit, but nonetheless looked fresh and fun. She started with a pair of round shades (like Nour's Kiara Sunglasses in Manner Mania) and paired with a white tunic (similar to Misile's Cotton Jumper in White, or, for a similar swimwear cover-up, check out Letarte Swimwear's Popcorn Stitch Flutter Tunic in White). Next up was a pair of black leggings (Laura Dahl's Fancy Dancers Leggings in Noir are similar) with a pair of metallic flats. While many of us will always remember Sarah as "Buffy," it seems that she left such a lasting impact on the academic world with her role that a three-day academic conference took place earlier this month at Henderson State University all focused on "Buffy." Philosophy professor Kevin Durand says, "It has staying power. It's like I tell my students in philosophy a lot of times: We're not so much about necessarily finding all the answers as wanting to ask better questions. 'Buffy,' I think, does that. 'Buffy' never really leaves you with nice, pat answers. You have even more questions than when you started." I never thought of it like that! The conference featured discussions on over 90 student-written papers, and was attended by around 150 people. Sheesh, I never knew "Buffy" was so deep!
