Nothing says "I'm single" like strutting your hotsy totsy self down the boulevard in a little dress, showing off your newly re-toned legs perfect for stepping all over the heart, and bank account, of your ghetto wannabe-rapper ex hubby. And this is exactly what Britney Spears did on October 8, as she stepped into a recording studio in New York where she's currently laying down tracks for her upcoming album, her first since In the Zone. While most of America assumed the hot Britney of yesteryear was just a distant memory, Spears proves she is still crafty as ever by kicking K-Fed (now eternally nicknamed Fed-Ex) to the curb on the exact right day. Britney dropped the divorce hatchet exactly two years and one month from the day of her marriage, which was October 6, 2004. Because of 30-day grace periods, filing on Nov. 6 was Britney's final chance to avoid paying K-Fed a third year of alimony. Sorry K-Fed, your gravy train of new Ferraris and unlimited wife beaters is coming to a grinding halt. Now that Britney's toned, tan and blonde once more.. the world will be hers!
Sporting what looks like a mix of a golfer/clown hat with some sort of pom-pom on top, at least Britters picked a sultry little black dress to flaunt her bod in. Now get back into that studio Britney, and blow us all away with your comeback!
