BREAKFAST BABES

Enjoying some time out with her baby girl, Jessica Alba and Honor Marie were spotted leaving a breakfast spot in Beverly Hills on February 13. Both ladies were dressed down, with Honor sporting an adorable knit cap and moccasins and Jess rocking an equally comfy look. Starting with black cropped pants (try Tag Jeans’ Stretch Twill Capri in Black), a long white tunic (like PGD Style’s Ricky Tunic Tee in White) and a loose gray sweater (similar to Smitten’s One Button Belted Sweatshirt Jacket in Heather Grey), Jess wore black slouch boots and those gold rimmed sunnies she’s been rocking lately. I don’t really care for the bug-eye shape of the frames, but I adore Jessica’s yellow diaper bag she’s been toting over the past few weeks (check out Linea Pelle’s Dylan Zip Tote in Citrine). The sunny shade is adorable for spring! If you haven’t seen her, Jess is on the cover of ELLE’s March 2009 issue, looking smokin’ hot posing with a bunch of up-and-coming designers. Among them Jason Wu, who designed Michelle Obama’s stunning white inaugural gown, is featured next to the Sin City babe. The mag features an in depth interview with Jess, where she dishes on everything from motherhood to her hectic lifestyle. When her post-preggers bod came up, Jess revealed a surprising secret about getting back in shape: “I wore a girdle. Eight weeks after my girlfriend had her baby, you could see her six-pack. She told me to put an elastic band around my waist—any kind of band or girdle works. She was like, “I slept in it.” I didn’t recover as fast as she did. I don’t have a sixpack—that’s just not my body at all.” A girdle, huh? The things we do to stay thin! Jess went on to say that she was also on a vigorous workout routine to lose the baby weight – so vigorous she literally shed tears over it, and hasn’t been back in a gym since the Campari shoot. You have to give Jess some credit there – she did look amazing in the Campari photos, with or without airbrushing – but come on, is being skinny so important that we make ourselves cry over it?
