Showing off her penchant for funky style, Christina Aguilera was spotted on two different occasions sporting her new red and charcoal lace up boots. Is it just me or do these things look like snow shoes? Not exactly what you see every day in LA! On the left, Christina was spotted taking her little boy Max to Mr. Greentrees in Los Angeles on December 6, the same lot Jessica Alba and Cash Warren picked their tree out at the day before. For their little adventure, Christina paired her boots with black leggings (try The Batallion's Motorcycle Legging in Black or Slate to get either look), a gray mini and red striped top (like Splendid's Rugby Striped Henley in Lipstick topped with an asymmetrical zipped motorcycle jacket (like Genetic Denim's The Fonda Motorcycle Jacket in Black Mirror) and a long silver pendant necklace (love the unique shape of Circadian Studios' Silver and Oxidized Multi Circles Necklace in Silver/Oxidized). A week earlier, Mamaguilera headed out to dinner at Houston's restaurant in Santa Monica with her hubby and little man in tow, working the same boots with a similar red striped sweater (this time try something with a fuller shape like Ella Moss's Skye Widesleeve Top in Amour) over a white tunic, charcoal leggings and a messenger bag slung across her body (indulge in Antoinette Lee's Stella Tote in Dove Grey). What do you think of both looks? I think the tweed hat is adorable on the left but I'm not feeling the sunglasses on the right – Christina may have come before Gaga but those glasses are way too similar to her trademark style, if you could even say Gaga has one. It's Mamaguilera's birthday this week, but don't expect her to be taking any time off to celebrate. Besides tending to her toddler Max, Christina has been busy on the set of Burlesque, hard at work shaping her big screen debut. Wonder if she'll have time to throw an elaborate themed b-day bash like last year? Guess we'll have to wait and see!
