Stepping out for a good cause, the lovely Emily Blunt lights up the red carpet at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Antibes, France on May 20. Em stood out in a vibrant red Georges Chakra Edition gown with a long train and embellished cut out details on the sides (light up your spring and summer events in gorgeous picks from Sue Wong like the Exotic Beaded Ombre Gown in Magenta/Red or the Ruched Ruby Maxi Dress in Vermillion). The color and racerback style of the gown is a little too Baywatch for me, but Emily is workin it! And how perfect does her crimson lipstick match her dress? Em completed the look with a dazzling beaded silver clutch (check out Whiting & Davis' Crystal Accents Minaudiere), diamond bracelet and monstrous cocktail ring (stand out with Megan Greene's unique Ninotchka in Fog). What do you think of Emily's stunning ensemble? Unlike some other Cannes partygoers who prefer to bask in sunshine and booze (cough, Lindsay Lohan, cough), Emily made time to attend the charity event and shared her perspective with the BBC: “It's pretty much the most important event here… They’re sort of revolutionary in what they’ve done for AIDS research and development for a cure, so when they asked me to be a chair, I was really honored….I think it’ll be a fun event!” Last year the event raised over $5 million for AIDS research, hoping to top that this year with celebs including Paris Hilton and Tom Ford bidding on hot items. Paris wasn't shy about her reason for coming with the press: "They always have a great performer and tonight is Lady Gaga and I love her, so it's going to be really fun… They always have amazing auction items and the fact that it's giving back as well is really great so you can get something at the same time as helping someone." Hope to see the event topping last year's success once again!
