BLACK BALL BEAUTIFUL

Embodying natural elegance, Beyonce Knowles makes a glamorous appearance at Keep A Child Alive's 7th Annual Black Ball in New York City on September 30. Though the event might have been held in the dimmed Hammerstein Ballroom to capture the somber tone, Bey brightened up the room in her bright fuchsia frock by Andrew Gn (be the belle of your ball in Sue Wong's Magenta Embellished Maxi in Magenta/Red or Bejeweled's Bandeau Maxi Dress in Hot Pink), wearing her curls naturally and barely there makeup. Beyonce accented the dress with a simple black clutch (try Inge Christopher's Theda Oversized Clutch in Black) and sparkling chandelier earrings (add some shine with Anna Beck's Sulawesi Silver Chandelier Earring in Silver). I just can't get over how radiant she is without the over-the-top makeup and constantly changing wigs – it reminds us all just how beautiful Bey really is. What are your thoughts on her choice here, does the wrapped bodice style work for her curvy figure? Leigh Blake and Alicia Keys co-founded the Keep A Child Alive charity and announced the event raised over $2.4 million for children affected by AIDS in Africa and India, but according to the new Guiness Book of World Records that's just pocket change for Bey and Jay-Z. The hip-hop king and queen have the distinction of being the "Highest Earning Power Couple," taking in $122 million combined in 2009. Not too shabby, right?
