Selecting a – surprise! – Balmain Spring 2009 sequined mini splattered with purple, emerald and turquoise sparkles. Balmain has been her choice designer lately, so the angled shoulders and super short hem are a little predictable, but I don't think it's a terrible choice for the BET Awards. To make the cropped sleeve mini work for everyday, try casual picks like PGD Style's Candice V Neck Mini Dress in Black or add some color with Karen Zambos' Chain Print Banded Dress in Chain Print or the Swirl Button Front Dress in Swirl. B is known for her style risks, but what was she thinking with these high waist, metallic teal skinnies? It looks like she's going to a saran wrap party! Is it just me or does B’s playful charade seem a little alcohol induced? B took a couple of hours to do some sightseeing with her stylist Ty Hunter at the Brandenburg Gate in the afternoon, snapping some pics with her Flip HD camera (please tell me this wasn’t just for publicity, B!). While making her way around town, B stuck to her staple skinny leggings, this time going for an almost white version (try James Jeans’ Ritchie Slim Leg Clam Digger in Shiro White) with a tiered white tank (check out Smitten’s Tank with Front Ruffles in Beige or Gray) and envious nude leather jacket. Arriving a day ahead of her concert in the City of Lights, B got her fashion fix at the Paris flagship store and looked like a kid in a candy store on her way out. Dressing up in a green sequined mini that reminds me of a disco mermaid (tone it down with LaROK's sexy Stud Me Up Skirt in Black), Helmut Lang's curve hem tank (try Woo's basic Racer Tank in Sunshine or Cobalt Blue) and an impeccable black leather blazer (rock the cropped look with Suzabelle's Belleterre Cropped Jacket in Pewter), B strayed away from her usual 5" heels and opted for bold multi-toned gladiator flats. The movie did okay in its first and second weeks, raking in $47 million in the ten day period after its release. B stars in the thriller with Ali Larter and Idris Elba, but although they're making the trek to the theater to see it, it appears audiences aren't loving the flick. The movie is sinking with a 19% rating on RottenTomatoes.com, listing the consensus: The inevitable Fatal Attraction comparisons aside, Obsessed is a generic, toothless thriller both instantly predictable and instantly forgettable. Ouch! Apparently Ali and B's chick fighting scenes weren't enough to convince fans that the creepy stalker plot hasn't been done before. Maybe stick to what you do best next time, B...

At first glance, this is classic Beyonce style: edgy "Cage" boots by YSL, cuffed destroyed J Brand Zombie 912 skinny jeans (try cuffing Tag Jean's 5 Pocket Bootcut Jean in Super Bleach in the same super light shade), and a loose racerback tank (check out Smitten's Wrinkle Racer Back Tank in Silver). A studded white bag (I adore CC Skye's Lucy Bag in White), silver chain belt, huge hoop earrings (try Circadian Studio's Gold Double Circle Hoop Earrings in Gold) and a funky fedora hat further define B's signature style. Now look closer: is it really Beyonce? Apparently as part of some sort of massive prank, an Austrian radio station sent a Beyonce look-a-like to wander around the city shopping and sightseeing on the same day as her concert. They even called the renowned Albertina Art Museum in the capital pretending to be B's assistant and set up a special VIP tour, which the look-a-like attended and fooled everyone. The radio station came out to apologize for the out-of-control joke after reports that B hired a body double to stand in for her so she could go browse the racks got back to the museum. The spokeswoman for the offended museum told the press: "What a cheek. We were a little doubtful yesterday, but weren't really sure. It could have been her." Or it could not! The one thing that makes me pause is the hair, especially the blonde streaks at the front. We all know B loves to switch up her hairpieces, but she hasn't gone this curly in quite some time. B's high flying choices always amaze me - JFK is practically a city itself and there is no way I'd be trekking to my gate in 4 inch heels, nevermind sitting through an international flight in super tight skinnies. Work it, B! Starting with black skinny pants with shiny stripes down the side (they don't have the same rockstar bling, but you won't get sick of Hudson's Alex 5 Pocket Skinny Jean in Black) and sassy studded heels, Beyonce wore a plain black tank (I'm sure B would love Signorelli's Peace Heart Rhinestoned Tank in Black) with a cropped leather jacket and tons of bling (try layering Rock Paper Scissors' Python Circle Necklace in Brown/Black with Robyn Rhodes' Grace Necklace in Gold). B is hot on the promo trail gearing up for the release of her new thriller Obsessed this Friday, and made her way to the theatre to tape an appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" via a chauffeured SUV. B arrived to tape the show sans bangs, pretty much confirming that the look she's been sporting for the past week or two was courtesy of a wig. Hey, at least she still looks good even if she's faking it! Though she changed into a different frock for the show, Beyonce arrived looking fabulous in a cerulean Elie Saab dress (get the look with Gold Hawk's gorgeous new Rose Spaghetti Dress in Tiffany Blue or Poko Pano's glam Arabella Long Dress in Turquoise) under an elegant ruffled overcoat (Suzabelle's Nicolet Trench Coat in Classic Taupe has a linen-like feel that is perfect for spring). My favorite part: B's gorgeous gold "Odyssey" peep-toes from Ruthie Davis' Fall 2009 collection. How fun are the purple soles and funky gems, chains and bolts decorating the toe and heel? B's sexy style comes with an unforgiving pricetag, however: $1295 for these babies, and you won't be able to purchase them until the summer. Back to B, if any of you are Howard Stern fans, you might have heard him bashing her earlier this week. He aired a clip he claimed was an unfinished "board mix" of B's performance of "If I were a Boy" on The Today Show last year, which was basically a horrible screeching voice mutilating Beyoncé's hit single. Of course the authenticity was immediately challenged, and B's manager-dad fired back at Howie: “At 12 years into [Beyoncé's] career, the last thing someone should be questioning is her vocal ability. Flaunting her curves in a seductive strapless gown, Beyonce Knowles shimmied down the red carpet at the 81st Annual Academy Awards in Los Angeles on February 22. I’m not sure how I feel about this dress – what do you think of the overwhelming print? The frock landed her on the Worst Dressed list this year, but I don’t think it’s thaaat bad. Love the classic hourglass shape, flirty fishtail train, and impeccable detailing in the bodice – the side insets are undeniably slimming on B’s bootylicious figure. The oversized gold floral pattern is just too much – I’d picture this print on upholstery, not a glamorous dress. Not that there’s anything wrong with adding a little color to your basic black dress (if you like the look, check out CoutureCandy’s fun options for spring like Syla by Sylvie Cachay’s Bella Dress in Hazy Daze or LaROK’s Sophia Dress in Black). With her hubby backing her up, B’s entrepreneurial savvy just keeps getting better! The album’s Nov 18 release date has been pushed back because B hasn’t had time to finish recording between her busy acting schedule. Still, she found time to relax down south with a drink in hand while catching some rays before getting back in the studio. Performing hits from the past including Etta James’ “At Last” and stunning the crowd with her duet with Justin Timberlake, “Ain’t Nothing Like the Real Thing,” B’s performance culminated when she took the stage with 15 other divas to perform the new charity single, “Just Stand Up.” The new single and the proceeds from the Fashion Rocks show benefit the Stand Up To Cancer foundation to raise funds for cancer research – quite a noble cause! To achieve B’s dramatic look, try a fun yellow frock (like Ella Moss’ Piper Dress in Daisy or Tricia Fix’s Angelina Cocktail Dress in Radiant) paired with chunky jeweled earrings (try Rachel Leigh’s toned down Mesh Square Drop Earrings in Gold) and a classy pair of heels (like Matiko’s matching Mona Heel in Yellow). Acting like their usual super secretive selves, the jubilant married couple exited the restaurant sharing a laugh – maybe because they were both rocking their sunglasses at night? For her night out, Beyoncé put together a very chic ‘fit, wearing an olive green herringbone jacket that I have to assume is Chanel when combined with the layered gold pearl necklace (try Robyn Rhodes’ Grace Necklace in Gold for a much more affordable version). Press-shy Beyoncé usually keeps the controversy to a minimum, but this week the drama unfolded regarding L’Oreal’s new Feria ad campaign featuring the bombshell songstress. The accusation: did L’Oreal really lighten Beyonce’s skin tone for the ad? Comparison photos of B’s normal skin tone and the ad point to the unfortunate conclusion that something is way, way off. L’Oreal has denied they altered the photos in any way, yet they have no explanation for the lightened appearance. Do you think the color change was intentional? On a brighter note: Jay-Z finally confirmed he and B tied the knot back in April in this month’s issue of Vibe. The smitten hubby revealed their reasoning behind all the secrecy, "You have to have something sacred to you and the people around you. I shared so much of my life. I should have something to hold on to. I just think [marriage] is really a part of your life that you gotta keep to yourself." Couldn’t agree more!

Beyoncé Knowles has been laying low since her still unconfirmed nuptials to Jay-Z took place back on April 4, but she was all smiles at the Heathrow Airport in London on June 26. Maybe it’s marital bliss? B was on her way to see her husband’s show in Ireland, representing her home state of Texas. For being caught in the airport, B looks pretty good, even in her ultra casual duds. Wearing sultry dark skinny jeans (like True Religion’s Julie Skinny Jean in Dark Pony Express), layering a comfy long sleeve tee under her homestate emblem (try Laura Dahl’s reversible Stratford Longsleeve Tee in Black/White Piping, the cotton silk blend fabric is amazingly comfortable), and the essential dark tortoise shell shades (check out JeeVice’s Evil in Gold Striped), B accessorized with big silver hoops (see Lana’s Ocean Drive Earrings for a cool multi-toned alternative) and toted a patent leather black bag with a chain strap handle (like Rough Rose’s Jewel Hobo in Black). I'm not saying she doesn't look amazing, but between the belt, necklaces, gloves, and bag... it's a little much! To get Beyonce's megawatt look for less, start with a slinky black shirtdress (like LaROK's Kayak Shirt Dress in Black), and pair with a high-waisted patent leather belt (similar to Jack Rabbit Collection's Patent Leather Breathless Belt in Black). Next up, pile on the chain (check out Gemma Redux's Libby Necklace with Green Onyx) and pearl necklaces, grab a pair of black leather gloves and a killer bag and you'll be set for a night on the town. It seems that the internet community is up in arms lately due to Beyonce's risque new ad campaign for her House of Dereon Baby Collection, which features tiny young girls in full faces of makeup and wearing super skimpy clothing. Many feel the disturbing ads cross the line, with the young girls wearing lipstick, boas and three-inch spike heels. Um... creepy much! One internet blogger said of the ads, "What is the next ad going to look like? Babies wearing gold metallic bikinis while five-year old boys throw Monopoly money on them? Extensions? Either way, I like it. Don't ask me why, but I think Beyonce rocks the blonde. Do you? For her look, B stuck to black, wearing a warm parka (check out LaROK's Jetsetter Max Parka in Black) with black denim (like Deener's High Waist Cigarette Jean in Tar). Beyonce accessorized with a black patent leather bag (similar to Lesa Wallace Handbags' Franko Bag in Black) and big gold hoops (like Rebecca Norman Jewelry's Large Hammered Hoops in Vermeil). It seems that Barack Obama's daughters, Malia and Sasha, are big fans of Beyonce, as well as Hannah Montana (like the rest of the world), but have only one thing to say about Britney and Paris: "yuck". Obama told US Weekly, "they got to meet Beyonce backstage at a concert and they just love her to death. They're pretty down on Britney and Paris and all of that. They think that's very `yuck'." Rude! Rocking a much darker 'do (which I think makes her look amazing), Beyonce definitely dressed up for the airport, wearing a snakeskin coat over a basic tank and grey jeans (like Pierce Jeans' Miami Tyler Straight Leg Jean in Dolphin Grey). Beyonce accessorized her outfit with a sky-high pair of maroon heels and a big, roomy bag (check out Dutchy Handbags' Sassy Doc Bag in Brandy) perfect for carrying everything she needed to bring onto the plane. In Paris until the 10th, Beyonce and Jay Z stayed at Hotel Meurice and enjoyed all of the finer things in life on their trip. From fine dining at such exclusive eateries as L'Avenue to shopping at ultra-luxe stores as Chanel and Dior, it seems that this dynamic duo sure knows how to pamper themselves (but then again, this is Beyonce we're talking about!). Also, word has it that the couple enjoyed a show at the Crazy Horse Cabaret... because even Jay Z and Beyonce like to get a little frisky every now and again. Talk about an unforgettable trip to the city of lights!

Wearing medium-dark jeans (like 7 for All Mankind's A Pocket Jean in New York Dark, how fitting because she's in New York!) with a vintage "Nets" tee-shirt (Raw 7's Bee Tee in White is also a vintage-inspired graphic tee), diamond bracelets and detailed silver hoops (similar to Michele Michel Jewelry's Garden Earrings), I just wish Beyoncé would lose that uber-tacky Louis Vuitton bag! B has said this week about how she doesn't like going onto the internet very much, because she doesn't like reading hurtful things about herself on gossip-sites. Beyoncé says "There's one or two sites that I can go to. But if I go on the Internet and try to see what people are saying, I'll probably want to crawl under a rock. I'm still human and certain things, it just hurts, so I try not to read the Internet too much.” That's part of being in the spotlight, B- people are always gonna talk! Apparently though, the rest of the world was searching for Beyoncé on the internet this week, all due to that infamous fall of hers at her concert. In case you didn't know, she tripped going down stairs at a recent show, and this little blunder made her the number 1 internet search over the past week. Oh Beyoncé!

Beyonce must be overjoyed that her new single, Irreplaceable, is doing so well, due to how it raised sales of her flop-esque album "B'Day" 169 percent, when in weeks prior the album had basically disappeared from the Billboard listing. Beyonce's first two singles, the mediocre Déjà Vu and the shriekfest otherwise known as Ring The Alarm, were predictable and didn't have the catchy hooks that Irreplaceable features. Another thing going for the catchy jam is it's chock-full-of-attitude music video, which shows a smokin' hot Beyonce kicking her cheatin' man to the curb. In the video, just when her man thinks she wants to kiss and make up, she snatches his necklace from him and strips him of his sweatshirt, both of which she obviously bought him. Ah, nothing better than a song where a freeloader gets kicked out onto his butt! On a promotional tour for her new album in late October, Beyonce hit up Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia, in clean dark jeans and a black military coat. Keep putting out hits like Irreplaceable B, I know for a fact it's on loop on my iPod right now!

What I really want to know is whether or not she will reunite with her former Destiny's Child bandmates anytime soon, because although they claimed that their previous album would be their last together, I listened to "Bills, Bills, Bills" the other day and got nostalgic!
