BEY GOES TO BROADWAY

Taking some time off from their exhausting work schedules, Beyonce Knowles shared a romantic night out with hubby Jay-Z in NYC on April 3. The power couple celebrated two years of marital bliss a night early with a cozy meal at the swanky Upper East Side eatery Nello. I'm not sure what the dress code is there, but I'm not reading anything UES about B's ensemble here! Beyonce showed off her sexy gams in super short frayed shorts (get the summery look with Joes Jeans' Roll Short in Blanchet) with a colorful graphic tee with a heart n' chains motif (try Yvette Mandell's Short Sleeve V Neck Tee with Crystal Heart in Black) and classic tweed Chanel jacket (you might like the classic, but I'm a fan of The Battalion's avant garde take on the Asymmetric Boho Jacket in White). But she didn't stop there! Beyonce layered up with chunky gold and pearl accented chains complete with oversized Chanel emblems (break up the logos with Kuo Ting's Japanese Pearl Long Necklace in Gold), and of course the trademark patent leather chain strap pocketbook (give it a fresh take with Lesa Wallace's No Baggage Bag in Black). Talk about overkill! There's just something about wearing one designer – and multiple logos – that has always screamed tacky to me, even if Chanel is anything but. Are you feeling the same or does this work for you? As a final touch Bey added gold tipped Christian Louboutin pumps, which are foxy enough to be the focal point of this look but somehow get lost with all the bling going on the top half of the 'fit. Sorry Bey but you're just too foxy for me! After their romantic dinner at Nello, the hip-hot couple made their way over to Broadway to support Bey's former bandmate Michelle Williams take the stage as Roxie Hart in Chicago. Wonder if she can live up to Ashlee Simpson's reputation?
