Stepping out in New York City on October 21, Lady Gaga was photographed heading into the Edison Ballroom wearing a classic - yet still quirky - ensemble. Being honored that evening with the Big Man of the Year award for her music education work at the Little Kids Rock benefit, Gaga decided to stick to a black color scheme for her ensemble. Wearing a conservative LBD (try either Alexia Admor's Gweneth Dress in Black or Jenni Kayne's Panel Sleeve Dress in Black) with what looks like some sort of cocoon/cape, Lady Gaga teetered along on her trademark super-high platforms while wearing leather elbow length gloves. She decided to kick it up a notch with her jewelry, and wore a statement necklace (to create the same effect, check out Falconiere's Chandelier Tiered Panel Necklace in Black) with matching earrings (such as Anna Beck's Small Woven Knot Earrings in Silver). What are your thoughts on LG's outfit here, everyone? At the reception, Gaga received the award from Clarence Clemmons' wife. Clarence played the saxophone on Gaga's hit single "The Edge of Glory" before passing away over the summer. Sounds like a very meaningful and touching evening for everyone involved. Said Gaga in her acceptance speech: "My first experience with music was my father playing a vinyl of the E Street Band. I knew every time the song played that my grandpa was looking down and thanking me [for] the gift I had given to my father by having Clarence on that record. There is no edge when it comes to Clarence’s glory." I'm sure Clarence's wife enjoyed this special moment as much as The Lady did.
